THE FINAL ANCIENT WEAPON

Ever since Crocodile first mentioned the ancient weapon Pluton way back in the Alabasta arc, many fans have wondered at the true nature of the three Ancient Weapons; Pluton, Poseidon, and Uranus. As the series has gone on, we have learned a bit about the former two, but not the last.

Pluton has long since been revealed to be a battleship of extraordinary power; the Poneglyph hidden beneath Alabasta contained information about its location, while the blueprints for it were eventually handed down to Franky, who destroyed them to keep them out of the government’s hands.

Poseidon was first mentioned on Skypeia, and it wasn’t until Fishman Island that we learned exactly what (or rather, who) it was; a mermaid princess, born with the ability to communicate and command the titanic Sea Kings that populate the world’s most dangerous waters.

All that is currently known about Uranus, however, is that it is another weapon similar in strength to the previous two.

These three weapons are all named after gods in mythology, and the two we have learned about so far have both had some connection to their name.

Poseidon was named after the Greek god of the sea, child of Cronus and brother to Zeus and Hades. This is fitting, as Poseidon is often depicted as having full control over all of the sea’s creatures.

Pluton is a bit trickier, but still feasibly connected; It is named after Pluto, the Greek god of the Underworld, also known as Hades. Having been made to select his domain last, after Zeus (Jupiter) chose the sky and Poseidon (Neptune) chose the sea, Hades was made to rule the Underworld. While Hades himself is not typically associated with boats, someone in the Underworld is; Charon the ferryman, who transports newly deceased souls across the rivers Styx and Acheron that separate the world of the living and the world of the dead. Thus, Pluton could be seen as a subtle nod to Charon’s ferry, delivering people to death.

Uranus, as noted above, is not representative of Zeus; Jupiter is Zeus’ counterpart. Uranus was a god even older than they, husband and son of Gaia and personification of the sky. It was he who sired the first generation of Titans, including Cronus, the father of Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, among others.

A common theory for Uranus’ role as a weapon is that it is some form of weather control machine; I have seen a number of fans who believe it may be in the possession of the Revolutionary Army, or possibly even Dragon himself, given that Poseidon is also a living being.

My theory, however, is that we have already seen Uranus. Or at the very least, a prototype of sorts. Where, you may ask?

The Ark Maxim!

The Ark Maxim, Enel’s ultimate weapon, was quite the impressive piece of work. A large vessel that, by combining chemicals with Enel’s own incredible powers, was able to destroy an entire island by producing a gigantic thundercloud.
It is stated that Enel directed Gan Fall’s men to construct the ark after he usurped his role as “God”, but I find this somewhat strange. While Enel does not seem to be particularly stupid, neither does he seem especially intelligent. While it is certainly possible that he could have designed the Ark Maxim on his own, I have yet to find evidence that he was knowledgeable to create such a devastating weapon. I believe that Enel, at some point in time, discovered the blueprints to Uranus and, unable to recreate its advanced technology with what was available to him or with his own knowledge, he modified its design so that he could reproduce its power to a smaller, though still impressive scale by using his own powers.

While this part is pure speculation, I believe that the Ancient Weapons may have each been entrusted to a certain people for safekeeping by whoever designed them.
The power of Poseidon was entrusted to the Mermaids, rulers of the sea.The battleship Pluton was given to shipwrights, who live on land. And Uranus was entrusted to Enel’s people, the Birkans, who reside in the sky. This may have been as a measure of balance; An airship like the Ark Maxim would be safe from Sea Kings, but could be vulnerable to a battleship of Pluton’s caliber. Likewise, Pluton would be vulnerable to Sea Kings. A sort of rock-paper-scissors relationship, if you will.

Enel likely incorporated large amounts of gold and dials in order to make up for the technological deficiencies he may have encountered, seeing as the former’s high conductivity would make for a good material thanks to his electrical powers.

Usopp was able to use gas from a Breath Dial during his battle with Luffy to create an enormous explosion using only a small flaming projectile to ignite the gas. Enel did something similar with his lightning.

Considering that the ancient civilization(s) who built the ancient weapons were advanced enough to create a battleship that even now is feared by the World Government, it is reasonable to assume that they had a means of producing similar destructive forces without the aid of a Devil Fruit like Enel’s.

It is also possible that the ancient weapons were invented by aliens, such as those Enel encountered when he reached the moon. It is stated in the translation of the cover story below that the Birkans descended to the “Blue Planet” because their home was low on resources; perhaps they brought the blueprints to Uranus to the sky islands, but lacked the technology or power output to create it until Enel came along with his lightning powers?

[IMG][IMG]

In conclusion:

1. I believe the Ark Maxim is a prototype version of the Ancient Weapon Uranus.
2. I believe Enel discovered the blueprints of Uranus and modified it so that he could use its power for himself.
3. I think that Uranus may have been developed, or perhaps entrusted, to the Birkans, who were unable to recreate it when their resources ran out.

    WAS WHITEBEARD’S DEVIL FRUIT AWAKENED?

Hey guys, my first theory/discussion post so don’t expect too much, but all advice and support is greatly appreciated. This topic considering Whitebeard’s DF awakening has probably been talked about a lot, but he’s my favorite character so I just wanted to get a few of my own opinions and thoughts out there.

So, with the introduction of devil fruit awakenings, we so far only know of Doffy’s DF awakening for his string string fruit, which allowed him to manipulate his surroundings and turn objects into string which he was able to control. Possibly some Logia’s have their fruit awakened as well, such as Aokiji, Akainu and Crocodile which are pretty self explanatory (changing and altering the environment). I also believe that Whitebeard’s DF, the Gura Gura no Mi (tremor tremor fruit) was also awakened.

Whitebeard’s DF allowed him to create earthquakes. Whitebeard’s awakened ability allowed him to manipulate the air around him by punching it and creating air quakes, rather than punching the ground and directly causing an earthquake through the ground. Furthermore we see more of his POTENTIAL awakening ability in which he was able to grab air and tilt the earth. I believe this was apart of his awakening. If you guys don’t remember what i’m talking about (which is highly unlikely, it was just too epic) here is a link to refresh your memory.

Whitebeard was known as “The Strongest Man in The World” prior to the Marineford war, given this title I think in his prime, being such a powerful man and and one of the oldest Yonko’s at the time, it would be disappointing if he didn’t awaken his fruit. Also, Sengoku stated that Whitebeard had the power to destroy the world. Whitebeard potentially could’ve had the power to create an “earth destroying earthquake”. It doesn’t seem too unlikely due to the display of the Gura Gura no Mi we have seen so far. The main reason I think Whitebeard didn’t show his full potential was due to his illness, aging, etc.. or simply because he did not want to destroy the world lol.

(credit to Alpha2late17 for some of these potential abilities) Some major awakened abilities for Gura Gura no Mi can be:

-the ability to cause earthquakes far above magnitudes of 1-10.
-creating air quakes and tilting the air (already seen)
    – putting earthquakes in things such as bubbles (similar to Kuma’s power)
    -earthquakes lasting for days
    -aftershocks and multiple tsunamis?
-create a possible end of the world scenario (like in the movie 2012)
    – world ending earthquake, special ability (most likely be used by BB in the Final War Arc)

Now given these possible abilities, we still have a chance to see them due to the fruit now being held by Blackbeard. Since BB stole the fruit of WB I believe he stole the fruit as an awakened one and already has all these abilities, he just needs to learn of how to use them and be aware that he possesses such power. Another major possibility regarding BB’s strength is that BB could combine the power of earthquake fruit with his darkness fruit. A possible combo can be Blackbeard engulfing his enemy in a ball of darkness leaving them with no escape and having them experience an earthquake head-on. We will only learn and know of the true power of an awakened Gura Gura no Mi with Blackbeard since Whitebeard was too old and injured.

Anyways this is my theory, really had fun writing it out and putting in my thoughts about this topic, hope you guys enjoyed it.

MONKEY D. DRAGON’S ORIGIN: THE CREATION OF THE REVOLUTIONARIES!

Hello once again everybody and welcome back to another theory for your entertainment. This time we shall dive into the origins of Monkey D. Dragon and the creation of the Revolutionary Army. This will talk about how Dragon meet Kuma, Ivankov and Dr. Vegapunk.

Before I start, I would first like to say that Monkey D. Dragon was NEVER an admiral. If he was, why is Dragon so mysterious and unknown even among the marines? Who could say that the Gorosei blacklisted him and erased his existence, but that still wouldn’t make sense becausepeople do not forget so easily. The existence of Avalo Pizzaro, Catarina Devon, Vasco Shot and San Juan Wolf were erased for years and what happened when they showed up in Marineford? Random fodder marines with one glance knew their names, epithets and the crimes they commented.

Alright. Obviously Dragon is apart of the Monkey D family, but he seems so different from his son and grandfather(still think he is a “moron” though).

All three of them are from Goa country, which consist of Goa kingdom, Foosha Village and the Grey Terminal mountains. Like Luffy, Garp was raised in the mountains.

Dragon however, was raised in the Goa kingdom with the nobles. Garp was poor so he lived in the mountains, but since he was a marine, he had the funds to get a house in Goa kingdom where Dragon was born, to ensure that his son and wife would have a good life.

Garp of course, regularly took Dragon to the mountains to train him to be a marine, and Dragon developed a sense of justice very early in life. Dragon periodically went to Grey Terminal trash heap, where he became friends with the commoners and learned the value of human life.

Seeing the difference between the nobles and commoners made Dragon upset. He believed that everyone should be equal and was disgusted with how the nobles treat the commoners like trash and kills them off without batting an eye.

Dragon wanted to change Goa kingdom, but he didn’t have the power to do so. He didn’t want to become a marine because his father was a famous Vice Admiral who had little pull with the WG. Monkey D. Dragon joined the World Government itself or more specifically, Cipher Pol.

Dragon was “special” because he was the son of Garp and because was already very intelligent and strong(due to Garp’s training), he moved up the Cipher Pol’s like wildfire.

Dragon has always been curious about his D lineage, as even Garp has no idea what it meant. Dragon got really curious and confused because of this:

The rivalry between Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Garp.
Both men had ‘D’ in their name but according to Garp, they apparently come from different families and have no relation to each other.

While a member of Cipher Pol however, Dragon meet two people: Jaguar D. Saul and Dr. Vegapunk, who is also a ‘D’. Like Dragon, Saul was curious about his D lineage but he didn’t think too much about it. Vegapunk however, was very curius like Dragon. They became friends and Dragon was shocked to learn of the terrible experiments the WG make Vegapunk do. Despite that, two secretly worked together to find out more about their lineage.

Dragon always believed in moral justice, but his justice is very extreme just like Saul, who easily defected from the marines to do what he felt was right. Dragon time in Cipher Pol revealed quite a bit about the lies of the WG, but that is expected with a government system. Dragon’s disgust with the WG hit a boiling point when he was promoted to the same position as these guys:

      Cipher Pol Aegis 0.

As a member of CP0, Dragon worked directly under the Tenryubitto and Gorosei. CP0 specializes in cover ups, blackmail, lies and murder and Dragon had a front row seat to the Gorosei and Tenryubitto’s corruption. He thought Goa kingdom was bad, but nothing compared to the Tenryubittos and they controlled the world. Dragon knew that freedom wouldn’t be realized as long as the current WG exist, but he still tried to change the WG from the inside.

Dragon came to loguetown 24 years ago to witness the death of a follow D that he questioned whether he was good or bad. The WG obviously says he’s a bad guy but from Garp’s stories, Gol D. Roger was a good man.

2 years after Roger was executed(22 years ago), Dragon was 100% convinced that he had no chance of changing the WG from the inside. The reason for that was because of the Ohara Massacre.

In this massacre, he learned from Kuzan that his friend Jaguar D. Saul was killed and that innocent refuges were slaughtered.

CP9 was tasked with making sure that the massacre was a success. If CP9 was informed, so was CP0 and….

Dragon overheard Clover’s speech. He knew that the WG was hiding something and it had to be destroyed. As long as the WG exist, there will be no freedom. Dragon defected from the WG but for the WG, he simply disappeared.

Dragon informed 2 people of his defection: Vegapunk and Kuzan. Vegapunk agreed with Dragon that a revolution was necessary and decided to remain in the WG as Dragon’s inside man, while Dragon carefully creates and expands his organization. Kuzan however, turned down the offer as he thought a revolution was too extreme and thought he could change the WG as a marine. Dragon never told his father because he’d knew Garp would try to stop him.

Now then over the past 22 years, Dragon has created the most dangerous organization that the WG has ever seen.

Vegapunk is a revolutionary spy in the WG.

And Dragon’s left and right hand is Emperio Ivankov and Bartholomew Kuma.

They were with Dragon 12 years ago at Grey Terminal.

So in the timespan of 10 years, Dragon recruited Kuma and Ivankov. Lets into more detail with Kuma and Ivankov’s recruitment.

Ivankov was Dragon’s first revolutionary recruit. Reason I say this is because Ivankov seems to be the revolutionary who knows Dragon the best.

They even love watering snails together.

Now the question is, why did Ivankov join the revolutionaries? Well we need to recap on some things about Ivankov first.

Ivankov is the queen of Kamabakka Kingdom which translates to “Kingdom of Transvestites.”

I really don’t think transvestites are treated equally in the OP world as many men reacted indifferently to them(much like in real life). In Impel Down, the guards shouted “Look at what they are wearing!”, “What the heck are they wearing!?” and “They are dressed to kill!”

Kamabakka Kingdom is a place for freedom; where people can be what they want to be without being judged. Dragon meet Ivankov on Kamabakka island and treated him and everyone else on the island like an equal. Not only that, Dragon probably saved saved Kamabakka kingdom from WG agents who tried to destroy it. Kamabakka kingdom is just as well known as Amazon Lily, and they are famous for their body enchancing cuisine. Ivankov most likely turned down an offer to become allies with the WG, so the agents tried to back at them.

Anyways that’s just pure speculation but bottomline is that Dragon promised Ivankov to bring a world where everyone is free and Ivankov followed behind.

Here is where things get interesting. Unlike Ivankov, it wasn’t easy for Dragon to get Kuma to join.

What Ivankov said in Marineford implies that he and Kuma had a SERIOUS fight before. Not only that, Kuma also had a serious fight with Monkey D. Dragon.

Before I get into the fight between Kuma and Dragon, we must first understand Kuma. Obviously Kuma is a bear so lets look at what bears represent.

Bear is spirit keeper of the West, the place of darkness, maturity and good harvest. From this place, Grandfather Bear gives strength, introspection and knowledge.

Bears are active during the night and day. This symbolizes its connection with solar energy, that of strength and power, and lunar energy, that of intuition. It enhances and teaches those with this totem how to develop both within themselves.

Grandfather Bear is a solitary dweller and master of his domain. This teaches us the importance of independent thinking and to seek peace in quite meditation.

Bears are sensitive to Mother Nature’s cycles. They sleep long hours in the winter living on fat stored in their bodies. It teaches us how to go within and find the resources for survival and how to remain balanced amid change. This medicine is a reminder of the great circle of life and rebirth, renewal and fresh beginnings.

Bear is the embodiment of strength and is fierce to a threat on its lair. It is not wise to come between the mother bear and her cubs, teaching us ways to always protect those we love.

In Native American mythology, bears are known as the guardian spirits of the forest.

      Smokey the Bear anyone?

Also, take a look at Kuma as a kid and that book he has. It says “Ninokin.”

      It refers to Ninomiya Sontoku.
Ninomiya was a prominent agricultural leader, moralist and economist.

      Bartholomew Kuma HATED the WG.

And that’s because the WG burned down Kuma’s village in the forest and it was no accident. Helping his people rebuild, Kuma was enraged and decided to become his people’s protector with his Paw Paw Fruit. Any trespasser would get blown away by Kuma.

Of course, Dragon and Ivankov came to the burned down forest and Kuma attacked. Dragon, who wanted to help the poor villagers, thought Kuma was responsible so he ordered Ivankov to hold off Kuma while he tended to the people. Dragon learned the truth from the citizens but before he could go anything, Kuma once again attacked him but he was able of emerge victorious.

Dragon told Kuma of his dream to destroy the WG and bring freedom to the world, but Kuma didn’t believe Dragon as he was a former WG agent. In order to be sure that Dragon was sincere, Kuma had a suggestion: when his village and forest was being burned down, Kuma repelled the pain of all the suffering villagers into a gigantic air bubble, and if Dragon can shoulder the pain of his people, Kuma will join the revolution.

Ivankov of course thought it as outrageous, but Dragon went for it. Much to the shock of Kuma and Ivankov, Dragon survived. This is where Ivankov witnessed Dragon’s inhuman vitality.

Dragon surviving that much pain was a miracle.

With hope that true freedom can be achieved for his people, Kuma joined the revolutionaries and became Dragon’s most loyal friend.

8 years ago, Dragon’s face became known to the world as revolutionary.

It was 12 years ago that Dragon saved the commoners of Goa kingdom.

12 years ago, the Revolutionary Army became active, targeting kingdoms to recruit suffering citizens who wanted freedom. However, during one of his expeditions, there was a big incident involving the marines.

I’m speculating, but I say Dragon had a run-in with the marines(with Doberman and Akainu present) and showcased his Conqueror’s Haki to escape a kingdom with new revolutionaries in hand. Dragon’s unnatural CoC brought forth a storm and blew away a marine fleet.

The Gorosei feared this man as they recognized his description. Monkey D. Dragon became the most wanted man in the world do to him knowing about the WG corruption from being CP0 agent, being Garp’s son, being a D, him looking for the poneglyhs and leading an organization that directly opposes the WG and it will continue to grow until the WG falls.

In the future, Dragon will recruit…

Koshiro. He is not a full-fledge Rev yet, but he is an ally. He gave the revs food after their time in Goa kingdom.

      X. Drake. A marine turned pirate to pursue his own justice. Drake joined Kaidou because he wants to severe the WGs weapon shipment with the yonkou and take the said yonkou down.

CP9. They are in an alliance with Drake and believe that pirates will continue to run amok as long as the current WG exist.

      Jewelry Bonney
. Bonney hates the WG and all of her reasons for becoming a pirate will soon be gone.

Crocodile. The Croc will lose all ambition to find ancient weapons and will want to exact revenge on the WG for what they did to him.

Smoker. Smoker never held the WG in high esteem and his disgust will hit a boiling point when the WG tires to execute Tashigi

Kuzan. Kuzan is not a revolutionary yet but he will join once Akainu and WG executes the WG Takeover.

THE ANIMALS OF THE REVOLUTIONARY ARMY

The Revolutionary Army is comprised of many characters whom have an animal theme. Based upon this observation, I will explain who could join the army in future if they haven’t joined already, and also explain what to expect from some characters in future. This theory is purely speculation and is highly controversial in places as I know many people are divided on some of the matters I will write about below.

So far, we have been introduced to nine named members of the Revolutionary Army and we have seen two unnamed members of the Revolutionary Army who frequently appear around Dragon. There are also a grand total of eleven characters who may also join in future or already have joined over the course of the timeskip.

        Monkey D. Dragon:

        1

This is one of the more obvious cases. Monkey D. Dragon, unsurprisingly is Dragon themed. His character design features sharp, defined and bold facial features, giving him a dragon-esque appearance. His subordinate and most probable apprentice and student; Sabo fights using “claws” and has Dragon based attacks like “Dragons Breath”, and most likely learnt his fighting style from Dragon himself. Dragon’s ship is enveloped by two Chinese Dragons, one on either side, slicked down the sides of the boat and he draws many parallels to Chinese Dragons in a sense that he can most probably control the weather through unknown means, as seen in Loguetown and Grey Terminal.

        Terry Gilteo:

        2

We don’t know much about Terry, but he’s clearly Kangaroo themed based upon his head dress/hat thing. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a member of the Long-Leg tribe and/or a Kangaroo Zoan fruit user

        Bartholomew Kuma:

        3

Bartholomew Kuma is bear themed. Kuma translates into Bear, and Bartholomew Kuma has an appearance similar to one. He has Bear ears and an incredible bulk for a torso. He also stands at 6 meters + in height. Although that’s a huge exaggeration of a Bear’s height, some species of bear (in fact, most large species) can stand over 3 meters tall when on their hind legs. His height is another parallel. The greatest similarity of all though is obviously the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi. This gave Kuma paws, like a Bear. Kuma’s face also parallels a Bears. His square skull draws similarity to a characteristic Bear snout (most commonly seen in Brown, Grizzly and Honey Bears).

        Emporio Ivankov:

        4

Possibly the hardest to parallel. Ivankov is themed on Cows. His tattoo has horns, like a Bull, and he is of gigantic proportions yet again. His chunky physique bares a slight, although weak parallel. Emporio’s transgender transformations and abilities can be seen as a representation for homosexuality, which is amusingly quite common in cattle.

        Inazuma:

        5

Inazuma is themed as a Lobster. Many would say a crab, but due to his fine-dining theme, and always drinking Wine, I would say a Lobster as a more luxuriant alternative to Crab meat. His scissors and ability represent the pincers of a Lobster, while his coat colours (Orange and White) are the colours of a cooked lobster.

        Sabo:

        6

Sabo, as previously explained is also based on a Dragon. He’s more of a European Dragon whilst Mr Monkey D. is an Oriental Dragon. As stated earlier, Sabo fights using Dragon based attacks. In Western culture, especially Middle-Aged Central Europe, Dragons were consistently described as having fire-breathing abilities and metallic, impenetrable scales (paralleling the pipe and powerful Busoshoku Haki).

        Bunny Joe:

        7

Like Terry, we know very little of him, except from his association with Robin and his high ranking position. He is obviously Rabbit themed based upon his name and fluffy hair. He may have a Rabbit Zoan fruit.

        Koala:

        8

She is obviously based on Koala bears. Not just due to name though: Koala’s are pacifists, and do a lot to avoid conflict or danger: Koala, as a child was incredibly submissive to Fishman demands, this portrays immense fear and avoidance of danger. Koala bears are also highly susceptible to learnt behaviours, which is exactly how she behaved during Jinbe’s flashback.

        Hack:

        9

Obviously, Hack is based upon fish. Due to his ability to use Fishman Karate and being a Fishman.

Now, it’s clear there’s an animal theme. Oda loves to use animal themes and has created many characters following such a theme. Including the original Shichibukai and the Admirals. There are 10 characters we have seen that I believe could join or rather, would join the Revolutionary Army. Namely, these are Kuzan, Crocodile, Bon Kurei, Lucci, Kaku, Khalifa, Blueno, Jyabura, Fukuro and Kumadori. It’s important to note that none of these characters have clear affiliations, although we do know they are all unaligned with the World Government.

        Kuzan:

        9

Aokiji, meaning Blue Pheasant, is evidently themed on Pheasants. The calming colour blue and his Ice powers from the Hie Hie no Mi also indicate a desire for pacifism and peace, this can be symbolised through birds that have traditionally been viewed this way in many cultures.

I believe Kuzan could join or has joined the Revolutionary army due to his defection from the Marines, although still believing in justice as he explained to Smoker. He acknowledges corruption within the World Government and it is possible he sees the best way to deal with it as a revolution. His association with the Blackbeard Pirates and the fact he can’t be trusted proves he is not a member, but simply working alongside them. The Revolutionary Army runs and operates underground, and does associate with Pirates (as seen with Kuma). Likewise, Kuzan is seemingly operating in the underground trade and as people know only rumours of his activities, including one of the worlds best connected people (Doflamingo), it’s clear he is sworn to secrecy and could easily already be a Revolutionary Commander of the same rank as Sabo.

        Crocodile:

        10

His name is a giveaway here. He is Crocodile themed. His association with sand through his Suna Suna no Mi can bring about the resemblance to Nile Crocodiles. Crocodile also had pet Bananadiles back in the Alabasta Arc.

Crocodile could easily have joined the Revolutionary Army with Daz bones. They lacked any affiliations after their defection from the Shichibukai and their escape from Impel Down. To boot, his deep ties with Ivankov, probably being an extensive influence on his past, as well as Crocodile’s grattitude to Luffy for helping to break him out of Impel Down leads me to believe Crocodile could have easily been coerced into a Commander position of the Revolutionary Army.

        Bon Kurei:

        11

Bon chan is based upon Swans. He dances and uses a lot of ballet based moves, due to the popular Ballet Dances to songs like ‘Swan Lake’, ballet is heavily linked to Swans and elegance. Bon also has a pair of swans on his shoulders.

He may have joined the revolutionary army to follow his idol, Ivankov. Although he’s still stuck in Impel Down right now as seen in his Cover Story page, he could well break out and join the revolutionaries. He also has deepest respect and great friendship between Luffy, and could use Dragon as a way to meet his friend once more. To further strengthen this, he may simply be loyal to Luffy and therefore loyal to Dragon.

CP9 members are animal themed, based upon appearance and Zoan fruits. The obvious ones are Rob Lucci and his Leopard Zoan, Khalifa and her Sheep based Awa Awa no Mi techniques, Jyabura and his Wolf Zoan, Kaku and his Giraffe Zoan. The remaining members, Kumadori, Blueno and Fukuro have similar appearances to Lions, Bison and Owls respectively, and even specialise in techniques based upon those animals, including hair control and Fukuro’s airborne fighting being his specialty. Nero, their newest recruit also happened to look like a Weasel, he even had an alias as ‘The Weasel’.

They have reason to join the Revolutionary Army as they became wanted after their failures in the Ennies Lobby arc. Thus, they defected. Being chased by the World Government as seen in their cover story, they could resort to taking down their enemies through allegiance to the World Governments bitter and most powerful enemy: the Revolutionary Army. The Revolutionary Army would also prove the ultimate form of protection, and would allow them to continue pursuing their form of justice against pirates. Their association and allegiance would result in Revolutionary Army soldiers not just knowing Fishman Karate, but also Rokushiki.

Conclusion: It’s likely that CP9, Crocodile (and co), and Kuzan are all members of the Revolutionary Army. It’s also highly likely that Bon Kurei will escape Impel Down somehow and join the Revolutionaries
