What happened to Sanji?

At the end of the last manga chapter, Chopper and Nami were shown and they appeared to be safe and in good hands. The fate of Sanji, Brook, Momonosuke and Caesar are still unknown but Nami seems to have grave news. He hugged Luffy as soon as he saw him and she was crying. Zoro was shown to notice something on Nami before all of this happened but the chapter ended at that moment.

A lot of people seem to agree that something bad has happened to Sanji and that whatever happened involved a fight against Jack of some sort. Some of the theories predict that Sanji was captured by Jack and subsequently the Marines or that after a tough battle his life is now so close to death that not even Chopper can save him. What do you think? What happened to Sanji? And where are Brook, Momonosuke and Caesar?

    FORESHADOWING MIHAWK’S DEATH?

The above manga cover below, shows Oda sensei foreshadowed Ace’s death. We can see Luffy is crying while holding skull card in his left hand — symbolizing death, and ace spade – symbolizing Ace at his right hand.

Now, let us discuss the manga cover of  chapter 784. This cover contains many information like the gear 4th of Luffy was linked to the appearance of Nightmare Luffy in Thriller Bark arc, its chapters are flipped — Nightmare Luffy first appeared in chapter 487 and in chapter 784, Luffy’s gear 4th shows. Plus, the picnic of Strawhat Pirates with the zombies directed us to the thriller bark, the only arc where zombies appeared.

Now let us discuss the other thing on this cover. I think that, same as he foreshadowed Ace’s death, Odachi is foreshadowing Mihawk’s death. Yeah, I don’t think that Zoro is the subject of this foreshadowing scheme but I strongly believe that it was a man or person that is a relative to him or we can say his inspiration. In 2 year time-skip, I believe that they developed a relation like master and student or whatever it is, Zoro wants to beat Mihawk at one time for the reason to be the world’s greatest swordsman but this will not happen due to Mihawk will be killed by a specific person, it’s Shiliew of the rain, the former warden of Impel down and a current member of Blackbeard Pirates.

Zoro’s shirt have a skull (red cirle) on it that symbolizing death and with the word “ULTIMO” (final) above the skull and “MEJOR” below it (good/best)(yellow circle) and beside him a grave cross with December 20 944 (green circle) printed on it. At the left side of this portrait.

And also you can see there a treasure chest with gold cross at the right side of the cover. We have now “final”, “best” and “cross”. Now if we try to think about this, the only best with a cross is Mihawk since his signature is a cross and he’s the best swordsman of the world (Honestly, I can’t get a thought about the word “final/last”).

Mihawk will be killed by Shiliew at chapter 944 and because of this, Zoro will direct his anger to Shiliew and their battle will be the battle of swordsman who will fight for the title of “World’s Greatest Swordsman” and Zoro will avenge the death of his master and will kill Shiliew, and I don’t know what chapter that is.. Dahahahaha!

So, what are your thoughts about this?

Pedro & his importance for the Zou Arc

Pedro is going to be very influential with this arc. This is a fact. Oda has pointed to this on several occasions already and he’s only made brief cameos.

There are several locations in Zou that label parts of Zunisha the elephant. The 806th chapter is titled “at the Fort on the Right Belly”. There are also locations on Zunisha including: Right Rump Forest, Right Flank Forest and Kurao City is on the Left Belly. Why is this significant? Well, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, we must look at Kanjurou’s cat called Nekozaemon

The name translates to Guardian Cat. The popular names Jinzaemon and Mataemon mean Left Guardian and Right Guardian. Zou is geographically mapped with reference to the left and right sides of Zunisha. This clearly means Oda is referencing and linking the Forest Guardians to the geography of the Island. More specifically, the Guardian Cat. This Guardian Cat is none other than Pedro

Pedro is cleaarly one of the Guardians of the forest. He clearly also has authority over Blackback and Roddy, two of the other Forest Guardians, as we can see in chapter 805 as he commands the guardians to leave.

Therefore, he’s clearly an incredibly authoritative and likely powerful character and figure amongst the Mink tribe.

Nekomamushi is “the big boss” of the Island, as we learnt in the most recent chapter.

Due to the fact the name includes the word Neko, or “Cat”, Pedro and Nekomamushi are likely to be related. Of course, this isn’t the only instance where Oda has used animal characteristics in names. Wanda is a play on the onomatopoeia of a Dogs bark, Carrot is clearly associated with Rabbits, amongst other examples is Blackback being a play on the word of Silverback. Oh, and I must also note that Pedro means Rock.

This parallels with the Lion King story. Why? Well, we have Pedro, a Lion, who’s name means rock

and we have a father figure as well. The Dukedom of Zou has been overrun by Jack and completely razed to the ground by Jack. This lightly parallels at Scar, who fought with Simba, the plotline is to take back the Pride Rock for his own. Jack is likely heir to the throne the same way Simba was, based upon his relation with Nekomamushi. Jack fought Pedro and eventually captured him. This, we know, is because of all the claw marks and the scene in Wandas flashback from this chapter

      [IMG] [IMG]

And yes, before anyone starts making strange remarks about him being a Tiger. A tiger has stripes, Pedro does not. Pedro shares several features with Lions. This includes the following:

      • Pedro’s long hair is basically a Lions mane
      • Pedro has long lower canines, as do Lions
      • They have the same mouth style and shaped ears
      [IMG]

So in conclusion: Pedro is the heir to rule Zou, but he’s been deposed by someone, the likely arc villain. His father is Nekomamushi, the current King/the recently dethroned King. Pedro is the strongest Forest Guardian and the most authoritative of them all. He is inspired by Simba from the Lion King and has a tumultuous past. He’s incredibly important to the Zou arc.

        THE OPPONENTS OF THE ADMIRALS

This is something that has been on my mind for a vast expanse of time, and has bugged me and had me irate at times at how every one assumes that Luffy will fight Sakazuki (and that he may be the end villain, even when it’s obvious that is Blackbeard), Zoro will fight Fujitora and Sanji will fight Borsalino. This is wrong. This is a certainty, and I will explain why in this thread.

First, we have to consider two things:

        • The Logical Reasoning behind the final war, and how the Marines need to be able to stand up against tirades of Pirates and Revolutionaries, therefore meaning the Admirals will not be defeated until the Final War begins and they will be the opponents of some of the key players in the New World
        • The shortcomings of the arguments in favour of the Monster Trio fighting the Marine Admirals

Thereafter, I will provide more logical and more likely opponents whom will fight the Marine Admirals, keeping in mind that the Marine Admirals will have changed their roster by the time of the war. These strongly tie into and are supported by my theories on two future Admirals. Shiroryuu and Orekani. To understand the rest of this thread you’ll need to familiarise yourself with the following summaries of my previous theories.

        #1.Summary:
Admiral Orekani ( or Orange Crab) is Coby. Sabo fights and is killed by Borsalino at some point in the future. Coby thereafter eats the Mera Mera no Mi and through eventual development of poor relations, Borsalino will abdicate his position and defect from the Marines. Coby will have the mission of inhibiting him from becoming a huge threat to the World Government and Marines, eventually, defeating him and having him imprisoned. Due to their past, Coby and Sakazuki will have a turtuous relationship. Coby will clash with Akainu about how the Marines operate and the code of justice that the Marines have to follow under Sakazuki’s orders (and the fact Akainu refuses to promote Coby to be an Admiral) , they will fight, the loser will have to leave the Marines. Coby wins in a Mera Mera vs Magu Magu Round II, he then becomes Orekani, leaving the Fleet Admiral position open for…..

        #2.Summary:
Smoker. Smoker will become the Fleet Admiral. However, before that, he will become Admiral Shiroryuu aka White Dragon. Smoker will fill the spot left vacant by a defective Borsalino, leaving Coby as a parallel to Garp as a monstrously strong Vice Admiral, this is because of Sakazuki’s obstinate and stern attitude towards Coby. Smoker, through natural development will become the strongest Marine (until Coby comes along) and will become very popular amongst his subordinates and across the world. Smoker will therefore become the popular choice to be the heir to Sakazuki’s position. This suits Smokers goals of changing the world while being just in his cause. After Sakazuki is defeated and resigns as a result, Smoker, the White Admiral will be promoted to Fleet Admiral

Now that you’ve read the summaries, I will explain why this also makes sense in terms of colourschemes and mythology. As a result of Coby and Smoker filling in for Borsalino and Sakazuki: This fulfills the colourscheme Oda has been working towards. Notice that I say this as he has not completed his ultimate ‘Marine Project’. The pre timeskip Admirals (Red Dog- Akainu, Yellow Monkey- Kizaru and Blue Pheasant – Aokiji), have colours that can all be used to make the secondary colours, (Orange Crab- Orekani, Purple Tiger – Fujitora, Green Bull – Ryokugyu), all of these colours mixed together make White. Meaning that this entire time Oda has been working towards creating a pure Marine force. Keep in mind that in cultures across the world that white is seen as purity, and Smokers goal is no less than to purify the Marines and berid them of corruption. With a “White” Fleet Admiral and therefore Pure Marines, Oda will have completed his ‘Marine Project’. The Marine colours will be coherent to this as the Admirals, Orange, Purple and Green will mix and form a “white wash”, and serve under the White Dragon. The colours of Orange, Purple and Green all have greater connotations of passion, peace and purity than the primary colours, yet another symbolism. And keeping in mind we know two of these characters are incredibly moral figures – Issho and Coby, it’s unlikely that Ryokugyu will be corrupt.

The Animals are also coherent in the myth of Momotaro as I’m sure I’ve emphasised heavily in the theories I had shared. To summarise, the Marine Admirals have a colour relating to their behaviour and features as well as their powers. They also have Animals, forming the second half of their nicknames. These Animals have similar connotations to their colours with regards to their character. These serve as a zeugma to hint at what a character will be like. The Animals and the Admirals are perfectly aligned and have the same dynamic to the order of introduction and interactions of the Animals in Momotaro. To explain this more clearly, I will simply list them all below:

        • Luffy = Momotaro, the adventurer
        • Crab = Coby, Debuts in Chapter 2, the first to be introduced in Momotaro, albeit only making brief but regular appearances. The crab has fights with the Monkey and Dog (Kizaru and Akainu)
        • Dragon = Smoker, Debuts in Chapter 97, although never materialising fully until the end of the story, he is technically the second animal to make an appearance in the story. The Dragon is a popular simile or metaphor and comparison used in the story. The Dragon reigns over all other animals.
        • Pheasant = Kuzan, Debuts in Chapter 303, third to be introduced in Momotaro. The Pheasant had especially bad relations with the Dog (Akainu), this is seen in the Manga as they fought.
        • Dog = Sakazuki, Debuts in Chapter 397, fourth to be introduced in Momotaro, the Dog was particularly unpopular, having fought the Pheasant and Crab (Aokiji and Orekani), this was also Momotaro’s least favorite Animal companion in the story. The Dog also attacks the Oni disguised as a Tiger (Fujitora), this is seen in their argument during the Dressrosa arc.
        • Monkey = Borsalino, Debuts in Chapter 504, fifth to be introduced in Momotaro, the Monkey was aggressive towards the Crab (Orekani)
        • Tiger = Issho, Debuts in Chapter 701, sixth to be introduced into Momotaro, the Oni disguises itself as a Tiger and fights with the Dog (Akainu)
        • Bull = ?????, yet to Debut. The same Oni that pretended to be a Tiger also pretended to be a Bull, obviously, the Oni and therefore Ryokugyu will likely dislike the Dog (Akainu)

It’s impossible to rationally argue against two vivid and inextricable sources of evidence and information, and it’s clear to see that Oda has carefully and meticulously constructed the themes within the Marine Admirals. Thereafter it’s clear to me at least that Shiroryuu and Orekani will replace Akainu and Kizaru, and I am an extremely strong believer in this, it’s an attitude and no longer an opinion for me, and I hope this now makes sense, because the juicy part is yet to begin!

“Why do people think that the Monster Trio will fight the Marine Admirals and why is this idiot saying it makes no sense?” is probably something a lot of you are thinking right now, even if you agree about the changing roster of Admirals, I still haven’t given clarity on why they won’t fight Zoro and Sanji. Of course, the arguments are roughly defined as the following:

        Zoro vs Fujitora:
        – Both are Swordsmen
        – They’ve already clashed before, possible foreshadowing from Oda

        Sanji vs Kizaru:
        – Both mostly fight with kicking
        – Both are indefinitely the fastest in their respective groups

        Luffy vs Akainu:
        – Akainu killed Ace, so Luffy wants to get vengeance for that
        – The strongest against the strongest

But there are inconsistencies. Many of them. Of course there are more points than just the two for each match up, but I can address any queries later, should you have any as I’m sure many will. Firstly, the fact both Zoro and Issho are swordsmen is not a credible reason, as there are many other swordsmen whom either could fight, also, the fact they previously clashed means very little. For instance, the entire crew clashed with Aokiji, it doesn’t mean they’re all going to fight him! Fujitora has far more and much stronger links to Trafalgar D. Water Law.

Sanji and Kizaru, although they both mainly kick, again, the fighting style doesn’t really mean anything. Especially in the case of Sanji who has only ever fought one opponent who mostly uses kicks, this being Bentham/Bon Kurei. Speed again means very little. The only speed based opponent Sanji has ever fought was… ah wait, nobody. Stealthy opponents are those Sanji fights, not necessarily the fastest. And shining like a beacon isn’t stealthy. It’s another mismatch and in actuality both X Drake and Eustas Kid have stronger links to Borsalino. Whichever one doesn’t fight Borsalino will be the one to fight Ryokugyu. This is entirely besides the point as Borsalino will not be around, making all arguments null and void. However, given how matchups will work out in this theory at least, Eustass Kid will fight Ryokugyu.

Luffy and Akainu, as I said before, will not happen. Regardless of the fact that everyone’s out to get him, including Kuzan, Garp, the Whitebeard Pirates to name just a few. So why should Luffy get vengeance? Especially when Aces will (i.e. Aces revenge) is passed on in his Mera Mera no Mi, as explicitly stated on multiple occasions during the earlier chapters in Dressrosa. It is the owner of the Mera Mera no Mi who defeats him and that is Coby, and prior to the events I am theorising. However, Monkey D. Luffy will fight the strongest Admiral, this being Coby (Orekani) himself. Some might question why Luffy as Pirate King wouldn’t fight Shiroryuu, which is a good point, however, due to reasons later explained and the fact that Shiroryuu’s opponent is in my opinion the leading cause against the World Government, Luffy, like his Worst Generation counterparts, will fight the regular Admirals.

        1. Monkey D. Dragon vs White Dragon Smoker
        2. Monkey D. Luffy vs Orange Crab Coby
        3. Trafalgar D. Water Law vs Purple Tiger Issho
        4. Eustass Kid vs Green Bull Ryokugyu

        1. Why Monkey D. Dragon will fight Smoker:

        • Both of them are Dragons.
        • Both of them are the two leading figures in the war and the main reasons for the war. The Revolutionary Army against the Marines (and therefore World Government), represented by the two Dragons.
        • The symbolisms of the Red Dragon (impure in colour, a revolutionary, causer of chaos and destruction) and the White Dragon (pure, justified, protector of liberty and the face of government, the necessary evil) are reflected in several Asian mythological tales
        • The two of them have a history, and this was shown all the way back in Loguetown
        • Both Dragons, palinoding in colour and sides are coherent in their goals to make the world just and rid of corruption. Monkey D. wants to overthrow the World Government in a revolution and White wants to progressively change the system from the top down
        • The latter point parallels several real world political ideologies and thinkers or events:
          – The final Bolshevik and Menshevik Conference in Russia, where the Mensheviks dubbed Bolsheviks as bloodthirstly reds and themselves as pure and civil whites
          – The Cold War, a clash of ideologies, Communism (a belief in revolution and removing powers to create a egalitarian utopia i.e. Exactly what the Revolutionaries want) and Conservatism in conjunction with Capitalism (a belief in progressive change over time, upholding powers to secure the rights of the people, peaceful coexistence and allow meritocracy in economic form i.e. what the World Government and Smoker want)
          – The French and American Revolutions, in which the people overthrow the Monarchy and Imperialist rulers respectively corresponded and formed by the people themselves in an attempt to seek out a better societyNote: The fact these two are in higher positions doesn’t change the fact Luffy and Coby will be stronger than the Dragons by the end of the Manga

        2. Why Monkey D. Luffy will fight Coby

        • These two figures parallel previous generation figures, Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Garp. This is seen in Luffy’s hat, and has been acknowledged by Smoker, Rayleigh, Shakki and Whitebeard for his similarities with the Pirate King and embodied in the fact that Coby is under Garps direct tutelage and currently fights with the same style and vows to seek out and capture Luffy. Coby also has Helmeppo, a sidekick, likewise Garp had Bogart
          [IMG] [IMG]
        • The symbolism behind the fight is immense. Luffy will be fighting against both a great friend, comrade and enemy all the while facing an opponent with the abilities of his late deceased brothers Ace and Sabo. Luffy however, will not mind Coby having the fruit due to their friendship and the just cause Coby fights for. And no guys… Coby will be strong enough to fight Luffy, he’s growing quicker and the Mera Mera no Mi will boost his strength exponentially
        • Luffy and Coby promised to fight at the summit of strength, and what better than the strongest Admiral and the Pirate King during the final war?
        • The fight is an amalgamation and a pleonasm to express the achievements of the two individuals and a great way to show how far they’ve come, both achieving their goals of becoming the Pirate King and a Marine Admiral. Both characters have been around since the very beginning and is a fitting way to conclude the very end
        • The fight has been clearly foreshadowed. Unlike those convinced by one sword slash between Zoro and Issho, there is far more to go by and a much stronger case here. Afterall, Luffy and Coby have fought in the Romance Dawn Arc, the Post Ennies Lobby Arc and the Marineford War Arc, it would be stupid to say they won’t fight again in the future
        • Similar personalities in a seek for freedom, friendly and obsessive, while being dedicated to their cause, both will, (as a result of the Mera Mera no Mi’s consumption) possess a similar will as well

        3. Why Trafalgar D. Water Law will fight Issho

        • Fujitora means Whisteria Tiger (shade of purple). All Shichibukai have Animal themes and Law was no different. Being called Torao translates directly to ‘Tiger guy’. These two, in the same way Dragon and Smoker are Dragons, parallel as two Tigers. Their movesets also portray this as Issho used an attack called “ferocious tiger”. Laws “gamma knife” resembled claws due to the number of cuts across Trebols body
        • I will avoid the fact they are both swordsmen, although it’s true it’s not the most compelling reason as to why they will fight
        • Both of these characters have large scale Paramecia Devil Fruits that technically oppose eachother completely. Issho’s Devil Fruit controls forces, not just Gravity, as Gravity can only pull objects towards mass, yet Issho has shown he is capable of Levitating objects, using Thrust and Electromagnetism. These are the Four Fundamental Forces of the universe. Laws fruit on the otherhand, within his room allows him to defy Gravity, use Levitation, Thrust and Electromagnetism as well, albeit in the opposite fashion, this match up is too good to be true
          [IMG] [IMG]
        • Issho wishes to remove the Shichibukai system, which Law has been a part of previously. Although only minor, it still reflects a clash of political views, although this reason too is unconvincing
        • To once and for all put the “Zoro already fought with him, foreshadowing!” argument to bed, while Zoro has clashed with Issho in one move, Law has in fact done the same. In conjunction and addition to the fact Law also fought against him in a full scale battle already and attacked his ship, meaning law is favoured three to one based upon those grounds
        • Both are calculating and strategising, and although reputed as monsters, are actually very good people with immense breadth in knowledge and wisdom

        4. Why Eustass Kid will fight Ryokugyu

        • This was the most challenging section of the thread. Of course, we know little about Ryokugyu other than his name and what it symbolises. This being said, Green in Japan is seen as a sinister colour (albeit also representative of infectious intent and passion for justice). Therefore, we know Ryokugyu is passionate about killing Pirates and is a sinister enemy. This sounds like a very close relation with Kid
        • Bulls have sporadic tempers, stereotypically, so it’s likely that, again, similar to Kid, Ryokugyu will share the same personality trait of a short temper
        • Bulls also stereotypically rage when they see red (although this is only a myth and actually untrue), due to the Dogs fight with the Oni (which disguises itself as a tiger and a bull) in Momotaro, this likely remains true given the “Dog” has a red colourscheme. Eustass Kid also has a red based colourscheme i.e. Hair, Cloak, Scars all being vibrant red in colour, which is coherent to what Oda has inadvertedly told us so far
          [IMG][IMG]
        • Besides this, given the convincing arguments of the other matches, this is the only logical option of whom Kid will fight in the Final War

So there we are, this is why I see the matches as this and not the traditional view of the majority of One Piece fans. Neither Sanji nor Zoro will fight a Marine Admiral. Lastly, a logical ploy which will throw the supports out of balance on the issue is the fact that, if the Marine Admirals are defeated, what is the point in them even attending the Final War? What I mean is; if they are recuperating from fights with the Strawhat crew, they will not be able to fight during the war and the World Government would be royally screwed as they would have the three most prominent figures in Piracy (excluding Blackbeard who will fight Commander-In-Chief Kong if he’s even still alive and kicking in the war, depending on whether the Strawhats fight his crew before or after) who would be way too strong for anyone other than the Admirals to contest in a fight. Also, if we saw the Admirals fight all guns blazing before the war, what reason is there for their involvement? Again, this is simple logic for a writer myself as the scale of the final war, the crux of the Manga itself and its potentially 1000+ chapter long story would simply be disappointing, there will be nothing new or exciting to discuss and the arc wouldn’t live up to the hype Oda has given it. The last enemies should be the most impressive, and losing to people who aren’t even Yonkou would completely undermine their purpose in the Manga, and would therefore undermine Odas project altogether in its entirety.

          The Whale Forest in Zou

          *Chapter 804 Spoiler

The Whale Forest, and the Whale tree particularly caught my eye in chapter 804. It was the center of the panoramic panel and is incredibly obscure and strange, which makes me believe there is some immense significance to this strange Whale.

I’ve had a belief for a while, following the ideas of the Great Trees in One Piece, that there are three Great Trees that produce different Devil Fruits. We already know about The Treasure Tree Adam (Strongest Tree) the Tree of Knowledge (containing the worlds greatest Library) and Sunlight Tree Eve (Providing light at the bottom of its roots in the ocean). Now, what do they all have in common?

They’re all part of the Garden of Eden. The scene of the bible in which the first man and woman were born. Adam and Eve. The tree of knowledge was also one of the trees in the Garden of Eden. There was another tree called the Tree of Life. The tree of life is often considered to be just one tree in the One Piece world. But the Tree of Life had three distinct features:
          1. Animals were drawn to it
          2. It was immune to the elements, e.g. wind, lightning, fire etc.
          3. It supposedly represents an immaculate state of a pure humanity, free from corruption and original sin before all

Now, the tree grew its own fruits as well. This is crucial.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I believe that the tree of Life is embodied in three seperate Devil Fruit trees in the One Piece world. Each feature of the tree represents or bares similarities to each type of Devil Fruit. The fact animals were drawn to the tree represents Zoan (Animal) Devil Fruits. The immunity to the elements represents Logia (Element) Devil Fruits and the representation of purer humanity represents Paramecia (Superhuman) Devil Fruits.

So why do I think it’s the Zoan Devil Fruit tree? Several reasons:

          • It’s a Whale and a Tree at the same time
          • The residents of Zou take on animalistic features. The Mink Tribe may have developed these characteristics over 1000 years due to some weird scientific bullshit anomaly as a result of the tree being there. If Mink men originate from and only come from Zou, this isn’t just a coincidence
          • Zo means Elephant (the island is an elephant). Zoa is an animal of a specified kind. Zoanthropy is a mental illness whereby somebody thinks they are an animal. Some cases have resulted in these people having surgery to look like these animals. This may be inspiration for the Minkmen

I also believe it could be the source of Zoan devil fruits due to plot relevance. I mean, Caesar, the leading producer and researcher of SMILE (artificial Zoans) is on the island! Kaidou, likely the worlds strongest Zoan, who has an army of Zoan fruit eaters is now getting more involved and has subordinates on the Island as well

Let alone the fact everyone on the island, and the island itself is an animal!

            Strawhats’ favorite dishes to cook

D: In the Straw Hat Crew, Sanji is obviously the one who is the best at cooking, but who else is good at cooking? What is everyone’s speciality dish?

P.N. I created the praying mantis rooster.

O: Well then, I’ll be presenting to you what each member is best at making.

            SBS79 2 Straw Hat Cooking

(Luffy: Raw Meat on a Plate, Zoro: Sashimi, Nami: Roasted Duck with Orange Sauce, Usopp: Fish & Chips, Chopper: Mixed Juice, Robin: Boiled Paella, Franky: Barbecue, Brook: Churrasco)

Sanji is the best at cooking seafood, but he is overall good at making just about anything. Also, this has to do with how these characters grew up, but generally the ones other than Sanji who can actually do some decent cooking would be narrowed down to pretty much Nami, Usopp, and Robin.

Other members can pretty much just kind of slice, roast, and mix ingredients.

Oh, also, Nami’s cooking requires a premium fee even among crew members.

              RAIZO THE NINJA ASSASSIN

As we know, in chapter 803 this character was name dropped by Kin’emon and Kanjuro on the final page, he/she is their last comrade to find in their four person party.

I’ve done a little bit of digging around and found some very interesting links to Raizo’s name. Oda has, again, like with Kanjuro and Kin’emon, likely designed Raizo based upon a performer or actor, and their names all have implications and connotations that reside underlying their surfaces as characters. To demonstrate this, I must explain the other Samurai’s first:

              Kin’emon and Momonosuke:

-Their names in conjunction with eachother derive from Nakamura Kinnosuke, a Japanese actor that Oda is a massive fan of
-Nakamura Kinnosuke is a flatulist, like Kin’emon
              -Nakamura looks like Kin’emon
-His favourite fruit was apparently peaches, Momo means peach, Momonosuke’s Kimono and Dragon form are peach coloured
-Nakamura Kinnosuke played the role of a Samurai in many movies, but he is noted for his role as a dual wielding Samurai
              -Kin’emon has a Fox theme
              -His epithet is “Foxfire

              Kanjuro:

              [IMG] [IMG]

-Kanjuro’s name means truth, “seen as it is visual”
-Although he isn’t specifically designed based upon an actor, his appearance draws many similarities with a Kabuki poser, a form of Japanese performing arts
-His talents in caligraphy strongly support this as Caligraphy is often used in Kabuki pieces, makeup also uses huge brushes, like the one he has on his back (obviously to a much smaller scale though)
              -Kanjuro has a Bird theme
              -His epithet is “Evening Shower

              Raizo:

              [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

-His/her name is the same as a Ninja character from a movie called Ninja Assassin
-He/she is likely named after Raizo Ichikawa, an actor which Oda is a huge fan of, Raizo Ichikawa has been a ninja in the Shinobi no Mono movies
-In the Ninja Assassin movie, the character Raizo is played by a Korean Popstar called Rain
-Funnily enough, in the Shinobi no Mono movies, Ichikawa’s character, called Goemon, had the epithet, “of the rain

So, based upon these facts, what do we know?
-Kin’emons epithet implied he could use fire, we now know he can fight using flames in conjunction with his swords, Kanjuro’s epithet in japanese culture (not ours) implies honesty and truth which is represented visually through his caligraphy, Raizo’s epithet implies he/she can use waterin some way shape or form
-Given the roles of named characters associated with Raizo, he specialises as an assassin

The two known epithets mean it’s highly likely the Wano resident friends of ours are based on a Japanese folklore phenomena called Kitsune no Yomeiri. During wedding processions, paper lanterns can be seen floating away into the darkness, known as atmospheric ghost lights, these are nicknamed the “evening sunshower”. Kitsune means firefox and it is said that Kitsune uses trickery on people to hide his own existence, very similar to Kin’emon and Kanjuro. A Kabuki theatre piece known as Kitsune no Yomeiri Gyoretsu is performed widely. The link here is interesting, and there is a third component to the myth: Shintoist rituals relating to the myths to prevent Kitsune’s interference in Shintoist weddings.

The last component, in my opinion implies two things:

              1. Raizo is possibly female, due to the wedding themes and the possibility of Kitsune (Kinemon’s) interference (in some cases fooling the bride by replacing the husband)
              2. Raizo is Shintoist and designed on Shintoist monks, many of whom were and still are trained in Ninja arts (this is not to be confused with the Ninja clan that is long dead)

So what do we know? If my theory is correct, Raizo:

              • Is quite possibly Female but will have an outward appearance of a man
              • Is Shintoist and could look like this
                [IMG]
              • Fights with Water
              • Has the epithet “of the Rain”

NEW VIEWPOINT ON SANJIS “ONLY ALIVE” STATUS

Why is Sanji wanted only alive?

Many people on this board and in the depths of the internet think it could be something related to his past, especially his bloodline.
Perhaps he is a prince, a CD or a son of a Gorosei.
I honestly dont’t believe that his “only alive” poster has something to do with this. There is just to small evidence this could be true.
I do not believe Rocinante survived and had a son who turned out to be a cook on the Odin, or anything related to this.
Of course there is always the possibillity that this could be true. That he is a prince of noble blood. But I just don’t think this could turn out to be true.

In my opinion there is something else. Since Enies Lobby I have a theory about Sanji and Zoro. And since Marinefort I think this theory could actually be true.

So what happened in Enies Lobby?
                This!

                [IMG][IMG]

Our M3 developed techniques they just pulled out of nowhere. In the whole series till to their first apperance there were no evidence or related techniques to G2/G3, Ashura and Diable Jambe.

In Luffys case we had the chance, that Lucci explained Luffys new gained abbilities. But what the hell are Ashura and Diable Jambe? Just why can Marimo and our shitty cook use such techniques?

In Zoros case I thought it could be because of his Kitetsu and the curse of it. In Sanjis case I thought it could be a Heat Dial. But again, to small or even no evidence. As the series did go on I always thought about this particular two techniques.

Also I always thought of one particular thing.
The OPverse Oda created has something I always appreciated: the OPverse is a magical world, without magic!

Every single ability in One Piece is explainable. Either with devil fruits, Haki, or Skill.
In the whole world there is not a single case of unexplainable “magic”.
Please keep this in mind as you go on.

So what the hell are Ashura and Diable Jambe?
To clear this, we have to go a looong way :D

                First we start with this:

                Oda on Devil Fruits:

D: Excuse me!! May I pose a serious question to the typically-vulgar SBS?? In Volume 46, Usopp said that the same power doesn’t exist twice. But this doesn’t make sense with what you said in the Volume 45 SBS… If theGomu Gomu no Mi was in a book of fruits, then Luffy HAD to have eaten at least the SECOND known example of the fruit! Now, most beautiful and intelligent Ei-chan, explain it all! ✩ P.N. Takafi

O: Very sharp of you. But I’m cool. I haven’t made any mistakes. As a hint, let me rephrase what Usopp is saying. “The same powers don’t exist twice AT THE SAME TIME”. How’s that? For more detail, you’ll just have to wait for a certain professor to make his appearance in the story, and explain exactly what the Devil Fruits REALLY are… Eventually.

This is from SBS 48. We can assume, that this certain professor will be Vegapunk himself. He will explain how Devil Fruits are created and work.

So why is this important for this theory?
Now put yourself in the situation of Oda. You thought, that your Manga will end shortly after Alabasta. But you and your Producers did created something extraordinary good. So you keep on going creating new content. You give it more and more story, and more and more background. One of the main, if not the main mystery in your story are the Devil Fruits. It would fit them, if you not just explain them, but connect the mystery of the Devil Fruits with your protagonists
Four of them already have one. But what would happen, if two more of the crew get fruits? And by getting you create more to their story than just eating them.

In Skypea the time was not right. Zoro had to get a slashing technique and Sanji… well… just wanted a little lighter.

The time to start explaining Devil Fruits came in the Water 7/Enies Lobby Saga.
Again, Zoro and Sanji pulled Ashura and Diable Jambe out of nowhere in a world without magic.
Now my theory: Oda started explaining the mystery of the Devil Fruits with Ashura and Diable Jambe.

Till the Dressrosa arc, both techniques are not explainable. Both are supernatural. But don’t forget, there is not a single supernatural case in One Piece. Everything is explainable.
During the Marinefort Arc I came to the conclusion that Ashura and Diable Jambe are the beginning of two Devil Fruits!
Zoro and Sanji will never eat Devil Fruits, both of them are in the process of creating two brand new Fruits!

But how did I pull that one?
                Because of Sengoku!
Just think about it: Sengoku has the Hito Hito no Mi: Model Daibatsu.
Heck, Zoro developed a technique that is basically the same. If you assume that his ability could be transfered to a Fruit, it could be named Hito Hito no Mi: Model Ashura.

So basically my theory to this point is, that Zoro and Sanji are in the process of developing two brand new Devil Fruits.
Something like Hito Hito no Mi: Model Ashura in Zoros Case and something realated with Heat, Rotation or perhaps Passion in Sanjis Case.

                Now back to Oda:
As the writer you gave two protagonists a Devil Fruit in progress. But to this point in the story you did not played that card of explaining their abbilities. You professor, who will explain the mystery, is still not part of your story. But now, at 3/4 of your story the right time is coming slowly to explain the big mystery. But not in a ordinary boring, but awesome unpredictable way.

And here comes the second part of my theory.
The WG wants Sanjis Fruit in progress. Many in the fanbase assume, that Sanjis “only alive” status is due to a clear picture the Marines could get of Sanji. I believe his status is due to the actions of Sanji, after the Time Skip.

Their is a huge difference between Sanjis Diable Jambe and Zoros Ashura. After Enies Lobby the Diable Jambe became Sanjis signature move. He used it everywhere. Zoro on the other side pulled Ashura just twice and never again.
So in Enies Lobby only Kaku and Jyabura saw the techniques, no one else. Before the TS there was no marine who saw the Diable Jambe, except Sentomaru, who was not a marine to this moment and the Pacifista, which was barely scratched after the Flambage Muton Shot.
My point is, that the Diable Jambe and Ashura techniques were not confirmed by the WG before the TS. Even the finishing move was Lufffys Gigant Rifle which blow away all evidence of Ashura and Diable Jambe on that Pacifista.

After the TS Sanjis Diable Jambe broke the neck of a Pacifista and was seen by a whole branch of marines in Punk Hazard. The Diable Jambe was confirmed by the Marines and WG, whereas Ashura is still a mystery to everyone except Kaku and Sentomaru.

So why is Sanji wanted “only alive”?

I think there is a possibility, that the WG wants Sanji because they know, that he has a devil fruit in progress. It is possible, that they know, how to transfer abilities in progress to fruits and create new ones.
I even do think, that the national treasure, which Doflamingo knows about, could be a transfer method of Devil Fruits in Progress. (Sad: extracting abilities; Smile: implanting abilities)

This whole thought of me could be the reason why Sanji is wanted alive. If he would die, his ability would die with him.

I don’t know how, but I think that Oda will explain us the creation of Devil Fruits with Sanji and Vegapunk.

I don’t claim that this is the absolute thruth. Of course this theory could turn out to be absolute bull!@#t. Sanjis only alive wanted poster could be literally anything from noble blood theories or anything else. Oda could even pull a typical Okama CD card, who wants Sanji for himself :D
I also know, that this therory has quite sone flaws.
But if Oda takes Sanji serious this time, this could turn out to be true.

                  DONQUIXOTE SANJI Theory

This is a theory about Sanji being Donquixote.

                  • he called himself Mr. Prince
                  • was called Prince of dumbass kingdom
                  • he has an RH- bloodtype; it is theorized that those with RH- blood are actually world leaders who are aliens in disguise

Here is the timeline..don’t bother watching it

Trafalgar’s age is “26”, but he tells Doflamingo that he’ll pay for what he did 13 yrs ago, alluding to Rocinante’s death when Trafalgar was 10, and when we flash back 16 yrs ago Trafalgar was 7yrs 7 months, making him about 23 right now (chap.724 pg.19, chap.761. pg 13).

Age inconsistencies happen all the time in One Piece so it’s no big deal. Honestly, I would say all ages are approximate and have some wiggle room. I think it would make sense if Sanji was a little bit younger as well.

-Both blonde, and Sanji has those prize winning Donquixote family legs
-Sanji was born in the North Blue but grew up in the East Blue (chap. 227 pg. 7)
-Sanji has an unusually rare blood type, maybe it’s because he’s from an unusually rare bloodline?
-Only crew member who hasn’t lost a named loved one, and Oda wouldn’t miss a chance to kill off some kid’s family unless he had something bigger planned.
                  -Both hard smokers
-Rocinante caught himself on fire..just like Sanji’s leg xD – don’t take this seriously
-Sanji’s coat in Film Z is very similar to Rocinante’s
                  [IMG]

Why was Sanji working on The Orbit?

-Rocinante doesn’t want Doflamingo to find out about him, because Doflamingo has a habit of killing everyone. If things go sour and Rocinante is revealed as a marine, he would want his kid as underground as possible.

-Rocinante doesn’t want people to know Sanji is related to the Donquixote family because of their heritage. People hated and attacked them when they found out about their connection to the Celestial Dragons.

-He just wanted them to have a normal life and maybe that’s what Rocinante wants for his son too.

Or maybe it’s none of these, but one way or another he gets on that boat.

Rocinante’s personality suggests he may be a father. He loves kids, which is why he tries so hard to discourage Baby 5, Buffalo, and Law from joining the crew. He doesn’t want to see them get killed/arrested. On their quest for a cure, Rocinante treats Law like a son. Is it because he misses his own son?

You may say now that Sanji would know if he is Donquixote..no he wouldn’t know, simple because he doesn’t remember his father,he was still kid when guy left him

He tried to see Sanji for one last time before leaving – he got on fire Ch. 49 page 5
                  [IMG]

And by all this, Sanji will be king of Dressrosa.. someone made a theory that Zoro will be king of Wano Kuni.

                    SEVENTH SHICHIBUKAI FINALLY REVEALED

Others have tried to crack the seventh Shichibukai for awhile. Now it’s my turn. Who is the seventh Shichibukai? Many believe he is a brand new character, however, I only half agree. While the seventh character is new to the manga, he isn’t new to the OP universe. I’m talking about Shiki.

I mentioned Shiki’s return in another theory before, so I’ll transfer info here.

So first thing is first, why did Oda bothered mentioning Shiki? It doesn’t make any since for useless info to be added. Knowing Oda, he just doesn’t add unnecessary info to his story. Shiki has some kind of significant purpose outside his feat of breaking out of Impel Down.

We know Shiki is cannon thanks to Oda and that the early events before the story started actually occurred. The movie Strong World on the other hand is not cannon and should be completely disregarded. We also know Zephyr as a character is cannon, with his Z movie also not considered cannon like Strong World. Zephyr was an Admiral for the Marines until he left after losing his men to the very person who became the seventh Shichibukai.

                    Now look right here:
                    x
                    Now look here:

Shiki the Golden Lion has been around for a long time. Zephyr in the movie died at 74. He was an admiral at 38 and an instructor at 41. That’s a 36 year gap to be filled.

Now Shiki competed with Roger during his days of piracy. Considering how he talks to Whitebeard (example shown below) and the fact that he fought Roger on equal grounds comes to tell you that Shiki is no pushover. But what if Shiki was responsible for causing the incident to Zephyr and was the one who cut his arm off? Shiki is a swordsman after all, though now his swords are his legs.

Shiki marched straight into the former Marine HQ and slaughtered a mountain of marines. It took Sengoku and Garp to bring him down, and he still escaped after being thrown into the impenetrable fortress that is the Impel Down. So this doesn’t surprise me if Shiki toppled Zephyr in a fight.

Let’s continue about Shiki. Last time we saw him, he was on a jungle island somewhere in the Grand Line, it could be Paradise or the New World, it never mentioned which.
                    hy
But what if this island was actually Zou.

Yes, the mountains look slightly different with the 785 chapter showing an unusual tree species than the Strong World chapter. But also look here:

Who is he/she? (Looks like a she to me) She may be a result of Shiki’s planning.

Note a lot could change, and the mountain could have suffered physical alterations (highly doubt it), but keep Zou in mind. Say Shiki is on Zou, the seventh Shichibukai is yet to be fully revealed. Based on how Oda is introducing these new characters, I am expecting the seventh Shichibukai and third Admiral within the next two-to-four arcs.

                    Look here:
okAll these characters are only being shown their heads, not their full bodies. Notice what is under Buggy’s head, we have something “furry” of some sort shown. Some are saying that it’s part of Buggy’s shoulder wear. Others claim its Doflamingo’s coat. I say it is neither, it is the seventh Shichibukai. Let’s do an elimination, don’t we?
The marines and revolutionaries have their own panels, so I will eliminate any possibility of them being that “fur” thing. Here are the Yonko:
                    • Shanks
                    • Big Mam
                    • Kaido
                    • Blackbeard
                    Shichibukai:
                    • Doflamingo Donquixote
                    • Dracule Mihawk
                    • Boa Hancock
                    • Bartholomew Kuma
                    • Trafalgar Law
                    • Buggy
                    • Unknown Shichibukai
                    Worst Generation:
                    • Monkey D Luffy
                    • Roronoa Zoro
                    • Eustass Kidd
                    • Killer
                    • Basil Hawkins
                    • Scratchmen Apoo
                    • Trafalgar Law
                    • X Drake
                    • Urouge
                    • Jewelry Bonney
                    • Capone Bege

As you see, everyone above except the seventh and Doflamingo has their face shown. But that “furry” thing isn’t Doflamingo specifically because the pattern of Doflamingo’s coat and the “fur” object are different. It isn’t Jack either because he shares the same pattern as Doflamingo.

Notice how in both pictures, the coats appear more feather-like rather than a downward spike pattern. But look at Shiki’s hair:

A perfect match from a cone top to a spread as the pattern descends.

With the text bubble in the way, likely on purpose, any evidence of a steering wheel lodged in the way is none. This is likely as Oda doesn’t want us to guess who the last Shichibukai really is, and Shiki’s twenty year old plan will finally come to play during Luffy’s era.

An extra side note, unrelated to the theory, look at the head underneath Akainu next to Fujitora and Kizaru. No doubt that is the thrid Admiral. Keep your eyes out for character with curly dark hair.

Anyway, back to topic, Zephyr left the marines because of the injustice of allowing the seventh Shichibukai to join the ranks of exempt pirates. To be a Shichibukai you have to be well-known with a threat that can put fear among other pirates. But why would Shiki want to join the very group of people that were responsible for Roger’s death. Well he has something planned, and he means to show the world the true terror of a pirate. If you ask me, he will play a significant role in the initiation of the Throne Wars described by Doflamingo, and against the Worst Generation, the Yonko, and the Shichibukai, he will open a wrath unlike any other seen in One Piece. What is he planning? Whatever it is, he is likely pulling a Blackbeard in using his special status.

Before I end this, there begs one last question. Why would the WG allow Shiki to join the Shichibukai? Well he does meet the qualifications to become one, he is also on par with the Yonko as far as strength goes. If anything, the WG were probably desperate for the power needed to fill in the missing strength gap that Aokoji, Blackbeard, Gecko Moriah and Crocodile left vacant. This leaves the WG bouncing back from an almost ruptured power-struggle.

                    To rap things up:
                    • Shiki is back
                    • Shiki is the seventh Shichibukai
                    • Shiki is responsible for cutting Zephyr’s arm
                    • Shiki may be on Zou
                    • Shiki will be revealed in the next arc or two
