ZORO’S POWER UP

This is a very short theory.

We’ve all noticed Zoro’s injury in his left eye:

xcx

I’ve read theories from being an eye sealing a demon all the way to sharingan (Yep, despite it being obviously the wrong manga for this theory lol), but I think about something more simple.

What if Zoro’s power is far beyond what we’ve seen so far? And the only way for him to train his instincts and give him some sort of competition is by only using one eye?
Yep, I think that he cut around his left eye as a reminder not to open it unless he has too.
It also makes sense, so far, through the New World, he has yet to break a sweat, he is yet to be at his limits.
I think his true powers and abilities will be revealed probably at Wano, it is quite a consensus that Wano will be Zoro’s arc, and there he might meet powerful Swordsmen, and he’ll have to use everything he got.
It will be interesting to see Zoro giving all he can.
He will probably be far far quicker than he is now, I mean, in terms of brute force- not using one eye has no influence on that- but it probably restrains the speed by a lot and also forces him to rely more on his instincs and CoO Haki, as his left side is a blind spot.

So yeah, I know, quite basic, it’s just some random idea I had now.
What do you guys think?

I totally agree with this theory,he haven’t met any real swords man, pica is the only strong opponent he have face so far,an yet he’s still no match for zoro. Sanji and luffy are the only ones who face some tough opponents, sanji fight vergo which is a tough fighter also the demon Mingo.

    • i wont agree to you and the theory, at alabasta and cp9 member(i forgot the name) he was exhausted and pushed to his limits. remember the asura ogi? the strongest technique which invulnerability. and in alabasta when he learns how to cut steel and uncut the leaves. although not at extreme exhaustions but he is still pushed to his limits.

  2. I was thinking more along the lines of him equipping a fourth sword, like having two swords in his mouth, in a very tough fight. Just like how a chapter ended with Luffy initiating Gear Four, I can imagine a future chapter with Zoro doing a similar act but saying something like “Yontori” before he attacks his opponent, which would be illustrated in the next chapter. Only thing of concern however is Zoro’s three sword style is idiosyncratic; it’s his unique own style, so a four sword style might either be unorthodox and unwelcome, or perhaps progressive and evolutionary of his character.

I do agree and hope that in the Wano country arc, that we may see Zoro at his limits.

    • I don’t see zoro having 4 swords. I think maybe zoro got one of mihawks eyes after fighting and surpassing him. maybe mihawks eyes have some kind of power as he (eventually) is a vampire like pearson…just a guess :)

  3. Kaki used “Yontori” two swords in hand and storm leg cp9 technique I forget the name… To be honest he also barely used all three swords, he only recently used it against pica
I reckon the next arc he’ll bust out a haki enhanced Asura Ogi

  4. What about the scar in Rayleigh’s eye? Don’t you guys think it is a lot like Zoro’s scar? I think they are related.

  5. Luffy is the only one who put his life on the line until now, the others aren’t risking theirs. That’s just beacause luffy didn’t want to use immediatly all his strenght (maybe gear 5 or something like that) and so he got cornered by enemies wich were far stronger than others who opposed the mugiwaras but really weaker than him. I don’t want to believe that they are already at the top of their possibilities, but i hope there won’t be another timeskip, they’ll just keep training their haki and abilities during the travel. So i hope that zoro is only restraining himself (like zaraki of bleach). If you remember, during the saga of water seven when he was on the train his left eye sparkled when he went against T-bone.
Please don’t kill me if i said something foolish.

  6. I agree on your theory. It might be quite possible what you think. But you forgot to mention Raleigh. He got a got on his eyes that is equal to Zoro’s ; ) that’s no coincidence right? I mean, we still don’t know whether Sanji or Zoro will be vice-captain, but in my opinion, only Zoro has the power to be the second leader of the mugiwara. and in future he may take the same responsibilities as raleigh did when he conquered the grand line with roger.
