THEORIES & OPINIONS

THE MINKMEN, KAIDOU AND EDWARD WEEBLE CONNECTION: THE BATTLE & VOID CENTURY

Hello again everyone and welcome back to another theory for your entertainment. This time I shall be diving into Zou, the Minkmen and Edward Weeble.

Weeble is NOT WB’s real son. If he was, why are WB allies and Weeble attacking each other? Weeble is a man who had his body modified by Hogback to look like WB(the stitches and Absalom is covered in stiches and he is 100% alive and human).

[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Weeble is being tricked by mother. All she cares about is money and is using her poor son for her selfish greed. When WB died, Miss Bakkin took advantage and used WB’s and Weeble’s similarities to make him a Shichibukai. Miss Bakkin believes WB has a huge stash of treasure somewhere and is after the WB pirates not only to get the treasure, but to make sure the truth of Weeble not being WB’s son remains hidden.

The WB Commanders know that Weeble and Miss Bucking are bullshitting and they also have their won problems to deal with. The WB allies however don’t know everything about WB and hunted Weeble down(and vice versa) to get answers but were blown away. When Weeble defeats a WB ally, he causes a lot o civilian casualties and the WG turns a blind eye to it. This is one of the reasons Fujitora wants to destroy to Shichibukai system.

Weeble and his momma are now heading to Zou to get Marco’s location from Luffy.
******************
Edward Weeble, the 7th Shichibukai, is based off Obelix, a character from the FRENCH comic book series Asterix. (check the jolly roger too).

The outfit, build and hair are similar and not only that….

Obelix (Obélix in French) is a cartoon character from the French comic book series Asterix. He works as a menhir(which is French)sculptor and deliveryman, and is Asterix’s best friend. Obelix is noted for his fatness, the menhirs he carries around on his back and his superhuman strength. He fell into a cauldron of magic potion when he was a baby, causing him to be the only Gaul in Asterix’s village who is permanently superhumanly strong. Because of this already enormous strength, Obelix is not allowed to drink the magic potion ever again, a ban he regards as being tremendously unfair. Other characteristics are his simplemindedness, his love and care for his dog Dogmatix, his anger when someone refers to him as being “fat”, his enthusiasm for hunting and eating wild boars and beating up Romans. His catchphrase is: “Ils sont fous ces romains”, which translates into “These Romans are crazy!”, although he considers nearly every other nationality to be just as strange.

Sounds like Weeble no? Obelix also had a dog named Dogmatix

Dogmatix is a fictional character, a tiny white terrier dog who belongs to Obelix in the Asterix comics. Dogmatix is a pun on the words dog and dogmatic. In the original French his name is Idéfix, itself a pun on the French expression idée fixe (fixed idea) meaning an obsession. This pun is unusual for a translation in that it is remarkably close to the original meaning and adds to it (by inclusion of the dog- syllable).

Dogmatix is the only main character in the series that is not human(Chopper is the only non-human SH).

Weeble taking Chopper(often mistaken as a raccoon-dog) as a pet? Also, is Weeble French? I think we all know a popular character who is French….

The character Obelix had a crush on a girl named Panacea but she had a boyfriend named Tragicomix. Since Weeble is easily swayed, could he fall in love with Nami and possibly become jealosu of Sanji?

Prolix — A character who is traveling quack claiming to be able to predict the future, deceiving most of the villagers save Asterix until Getafix returns and proves him a fake. A little inspiration for Weeble? Could Hawkins show up?

Caesar is also one of the main villains in the comic book series.
**************************

The French series Asterix follows the exploits of a village of indomitable Gauls as they resist Roman occupation. I believe the Minkmen tribe draws inspiration from the Gauls and Kaidou’s crew draws a little inspiration from Rome.

Gaul/Roman helmet and Kaidou lackey helmet(top right).

[IMG][IMG]

Minkmen hates humans but why do they? Why was Kaidou’s men on Zou?

Minkmen hates humans because of the Void Century.

The giant Elephant(Minkmen’s home of Zou) is alive and is 1000 years old; it is older than the Void Century. In Sabody, you could see Minkmen on the auction list. They were allies of Joyboy but they were ultimately screwed over by the humans of the 20 Kingdoms. Not only do I think that there is a Poneglyph in Zou, but also that Luffy can communicate with the giant elephant using the Voice of All Things.

Next, why is Kaidou’s men in Zou? Not only do they represent Rome occupying Gaul, the Minkmen hates humans. Kaidou and his zoan army are technically not human; they are zoans aka fake minkmen. If they are not ‘friends’, then Kaidou’s men took Zou by force.

Now then, Law’s crew was captured by the Minkmen tribe and/or Kaidou’s men.

At first, I though Chopper was referring to Nami and Brooke but I’m not so sure. Law’s crew was captured and the Sunny team got separated because of this girl…

The fox/deer girl is of the minkmen tribe and Kaidou’s men and the minkmen think she was kidnapped by humans OR, Kaidou’s men took Zou by force and is looking to recapture the girl.

That’s pretty much it people. It seems Sanji and Chopper are the all stars of the Zou Arc. People are already linking Miss whatever to Big Mam and I already think Sanji and Big Mam has a connection. Weeble(or Kaidou’s men) crushing the Minkmen and Luffy saving them? The Minkmen, the man-beasts helping Luffy fight Kaidou’s army of man-beasts?

NEW VIEWPOINT ON SANJIS “ONLY ALIVE” STATUS

Why is Sanji wanted only alive?

Many people on this board and in the depths of the internet think it could be something related to his past, especially his bloodline.
Perhaps he is a prince, a CD or a son of a Gorosei.
I honestly dont’t believe that his “only alive” poster has something to do with this. There is just to small evidence this could be true.
I do not believe Rocinante survived and had a son who turned out to be a cook on the Odin, or anything related to this.
Of course there is always the possibillity that this could be true. That he is a prince of noble blood. But I just don’t think this could turn out to be true.

In my opinion there is something else. Since Enies Lobby I have a theory about Sanji and Zoro. And since Marinefort I think this theory could actually be true.

So what happened in Enies Lobby?
    This!

    [IMG][IMG]

Our M3 developed techniques they just pulled out of nowhere. In the whole series till to their first apperance there were no evidence or related techniques to G2/G3, Ashura and Diable Jambe.

In Luffys case we had the chance, that Lucci explained Luffys new gained abbilities. But what the hell are Ashura and Diable Jambe? Just why can Marimo and our shitty cook use such techniques?

In Zoros case I thought it could be because of his Kitetsu and the curse of it. In Sanjis case I thought it could be a Heat Dial. But again, to small or even no evidence. As the series did go on I always thought about this particular two techniques.

Also I always thought of one particular thing.
The OPverse Oda created has something I always appreciated: the OPverse is a magical world, without magic!

Every single ability in One Piece is explainable. Either with devil fruits, Haki, or Skill.
In the whole world there is not a single case of unexplainable “magic”.
Please keep this in mind as you go on.

So what the hell are Ashura and Diable Jambe?
To clear this, we have to go a looong way :D

    First we start with this:

    Oda on Devil Fruits:

D: Excuse me!! May I pose a serious question to the typically-vulgar SBS?? In Volume 46, Usopp said that the same power doesn’t exist twice. But this doesn’t make sense with what you said in the Volume 45 SBS… If theGomu Gomu no Mi was in a book of fruits, then Luffy HAD to have eaten at least the SECOND known example of the fruit! Now, most beautiful and intelligent Ei-chan, explain it all! ✩ P.N. Takafi

O: Very sharp of you. But I’m cool. I haven’t made any mistakes. As a hint, let me rephrase what Usopp is saying. “The same powers don’t exist twice AT THE SAME TIME”. How’s that? For more detail, you’ll just have to wait for a certain professor to make his appearance in the story, and explain exactly what the Devil Fruits REALLY are… Eventually.

This is from SBS 48. We can assume, that this certain professor will be Vegapunk himself. He will explain how Devil Fruits are created and work.

So why is this important for this theory?
Now put yourself in the situation of Oda. You thought, that your Manga will end shortly after Alabasta. But you and your Producers did created something extraordinary good. So you keep on going creating new content. You give it more and more story, and more and more background. One of the main, if not the main mystery in your story are the Devil Fruits. It would fit them, if you not just explain them, but connect the mystery of the Devil Fruits with your protagonists
Four of them already have one. But what would happen, if two more of the crew get fruits? And by getting you create more to their story than just eating them.

In Skypea the time was not right. Zoro had to get a slashing technique and Sanji… well… just wanted a little lighter.

The time to start explaining Devil Fruits came in the Water 7/Enies Lobby Saga.
Again, Zoro and Sanji pulled Ashura and Diable Jambe out of nowhere in a world without magic.
Now my theory: Oda started explaining the mystery of the Devil Fruits with Ashura and Diable Jambe.

Till the Dressrosa arc, both techniques are not explainable. Both are supernatural. But don’t forget, there is not a single supernatural case in One Piece. Everything is explainable.
During the Marinefort Arc I came to the conclusion that Ashura and Diable Jambe are the beginning of two Devil Fruits!
Zoro and Sanji will never eat Devil Fruits, both of them are in the process of creating two brand new Fruits!

But how did I pull that one?
    Because of Sengoku!
Just think about it: Sengoku has the Hito Hito no Mi: Model Daibatsu.
Heck, Zoro developed a technique that is basically the same. If you assume that his ability could be transfered to a Fruit, it could be named Hito Hito no Mi: Model Ashura.

So basically my theory to this point is, that Zoro and Sanji are in the process of developing two brand new Devil Fruits.
Something like Hito Hito no Mi: Model Ashura in Zoros Case and something realated with Heat, Rotation or perhaps Passion in Sanjis Case.

    Now back to Oda:
As the writer you gave two protagonists a Devil Fruit in progress. But to this point in the story you did not played that card of explaining their abbilities. You professor, who will explain the mystery, is still not part of your story. But now, at 3/4 of your story the right time is coming slowly to explain the big mystery. But not in a ordinary boring, but awesome unpredictable way.

And here comes the second part of my theory.
The WG wants Sanjis Fruit in progress. Many in the fanbase assume, that Sanjis “only alive” status is due to a clear picture the Marines could get of Sanji. I believe his status is due to the actions of Sanji, after the Time Skip.

Their is a huge difference between Sanjis Diable Jambe and Zoros Ashura. After Enies Lobby the Diable Jambe became Sanjis signature move. He used it everywhere. Zoro on the other side pulled Ashura just twice and never again.
So in Enies Lobby only Kaku and Jyabura saw the techniques, no one else. Before the TS there was no marine who saw the Diable Jambe, except Sentomaru, who was not a marine to this moment and the Pacifista, which was barely scratched after the Flambage Muton Shot.
My point is, that the Diable Jambe and Ashura techniques were not confirmed by the WG before the TS. Even the finishing move was Lufffys Gigant Rifle which blow away all evidence of Ashura and Diable Jambe on that Pacifista.

After the TS Sanjis Diable Jambe broke the neck of a Pacifista and was seen by a whole branch of marines in Punk Hazard. The Diable Jambe was confirmed by the Marines and WG, whereas Ashura is still a mystery to everyone except Kaku and Sentomaru.

So why is Sanji wanted “only alive”?

I think there is a possibility, that the WG wants Sanji because they know, that he has a devil fruit in progress. It is possible, that they know, how to transfer abilities in progress to fruits and create new ones.
I even do think, that the national treasure, which Doflamingo knows about, could be a transfer method of Devil Fruits in Progress. (Sad: extracting abilities; Smile: implanting abilities)

This whole thought of me could be the reason why Sanji is wanted alive. If he would die, his ability would die with him.

I don’t know how, but I think that Oda will explain us the creation of Devil Fruits with Sanji and Vegapunk.

I don’t claim that this is the absolute thruth. Of course this theory could turn out to be absolute bull!@#t. Sanjis only alive wanted poster could be literally anything from noble blood theories or anything else. Oda could even pull a typical Okama CD card, who wants Sanji for himself :D
I also know, that this therory has quite sone flaws.
But if Oda takes Sanji serious this time, this could turn out to be true.

KAIDO WILL DESTROY WEEBLE WITH EASE

I’m not going to go so in depth as to why I believe this, but here are a couple important things to help back up my claim:

      1
It’s been a week since they first set sail to Zou. Kaido definitely knows what happened to Doflamingo and who brought him down by now.

      2
Not only that, but I bet he’s also been told about the location of “The Curly Hats” most likely from that woman.

Basically what I’m getting at is that Edward Weeble looks lame as hell and even his name sounds lame as hell. Plus, we’ve just seen Luffy take down a shichibukai in the previous arc so what would be the point in Luffy defeating another so quickly? I just really don’t see the point of Weeble being added to the story right now other than to feed Kaido’s hype.

      3
Right here we have Kizaru hyping him up to be at the level of a young Whitebeard. Also, think about it…he’s a self proclaimed son of Whitebeard, tries to look like Whitebeard, and around the strength of a young whitebeard?…And who do we know to have a grudge against Whitebeard?

      4
Kaido, of course. Many speculate it’s because he’s jealous of Whitebeard being able to die and him not being able to, but we don’t know for sure. Kaido also tried to intercept Whitebeard before the Marineford war happened for an unexplained reason too. I’m not saying he’s going to destroy Weeble as an act of revenge, but as OJ loves to say…IT’S FORESHADOWING.

How I see it playing out:
Luffy and co have a mini scuffle with Weeble (Who Displays incredible power and gives them a good fight) to where it eventually ends (By Weeble realizing what his mom is trying to do and becoming friends with the minks or something) and the Straw Hats decide to leave Zou and head for Wano. Just as they leave for Wano, Kaido arrives at Zou claiming something like, “Damn, where the hell are they? Would have gotten here sooner if this stupid Elephant wasn’t constantly on the move.” He ends up running into Weeble (who gave Luffy and co a good fight) and immediately Kaido’s fueled with rage because of Weeble’s resemblance to Whitebeard (which reminds Kaido of the hatred he has for him). Because of this rage, Kaido decides to attack Weeble and destroys him with ease thus fueling the Kaido Hype Train even more.

It’ll most likely play out a bit differently than what I posted above^, but the point I’m trying to make is that Weeble is nothing more than fodder to help fuel Kaido’s hype. He’s going to look tough in the Zou arc when he fights Luffy, but will be destroyed with ease by Kaido in the end. And we may even get the explanation for Kaido’s grudge against Whitebeard in the process.

EDWARD WEEBLE IS A PUPPET FOR BIG MOM

So the 7th Shichibukai has been revealed and it wasn’t any character that we have known, it’s a new character revealed to be the son of Edward Newgate. Weeble is a strange character that doesn’t seem anything like his dad, Whitebeard, and is a lot more comedic and less epic than him. It would seem strange for Oda to leave a successor to Whitebeard who was so inadequate but I think the interesting thing here is that Weeble was not a member of Whitebeard’s crew. Whitebeard always talked about how all he ever wanted was to have a family so if he had a son of his own flesh and blood why wouldn’t he let him join his crew and be a part of his family?

One explanation is that Weeble is too evil and Whitebeard would not accept him as his son due to his lack of morals since we know Whitebeard is a very principled man due to how he reacted to Blackbeard’s treachery. This seems plausible since Weeble is violent and seems like he is going to be a villain as he casually pillages towns and oppose the remaining Whitebeard pirates.

The other possibility which I think most people would agree with is that he is simply not Whitebeard’s son and that Whitebeard didn’t accept him because he didn’t know about him. While Weeble does have some physical resemblance to Whitebeard in size and facial hair his personality is nothing like him. So why does Weeble think he is Whitebeard’s son? Because his mother is tricking him. His mom, Miss Bucking, already seems like a shady character and since Weeble is most likely a simpleton (mentally handicapped) it would be easy to lie to him about his heritage. There is an important clue that Weeble and Bucking are not actually related to Whitebeard as Oda chooses to introduce them as “self proclaimed” family instead of simply stating that they are his son and lover.

But what is the whole goal of this besides simply gaining power for her and her son? Now this is where I get into my theory which right now I’m still waiting on some more hard evidence. That Weeble’s mom is connected to the Yonko, Big Mom. When they are leaving the island Miss Bucking mentions that she needs to hear what their next assignment is. Centre right panel

Thus thats a strong indicator that Miss Bucking isn’t just manipulating her son for her own gain but is in fact taking orders or at least directions from someone else who tells her where/who Weeble should attack next and I believe that person to be Big Mom.

There are some immediate strange similarities between Weeble’s mom and the Big Mom Pirates as she is a weird looking woman who wears heavy lipstick just like Big Mom herself and Lola who is likely to be apart of the crew as well. Weeble’s mom also seems similar in character to Big Mom as she is looked up to and relied upon as a mother and she is greedy and interested in material things like money just like how Big Mom wants candy when most other characters in the series just want power in terms of control and strength.
The more important distinction however are her sunglasses, now plenty of characters wear sunglasses but her glasses specifically look like the same ones worn by Big Mom’s subordinates Pekoms and Baron Tamago.

Besides some coincidental similarities in appearance my next clue is that Weeble’s actions directly seem to benefit Big Mom. Weeble hates Blackbeard since he killed his “dad” so he would be willing to fight Blackbeard who as one of the other Yonko is one of Big Mom’s biggest enemy. The more important thing that Weeble is doing though is fighting the Whitebeard pirates, because he is jealous of them, which has resulteded in destroyed towns. But what towns would the Whitebeard Pirates be fighting at? Most likely they would be trying to defend Whitebeard’s former territories to continue his legacy. Now what islands do we know that used to Whitebeard’s former territories? Fishman Island which we now see after the TS is not being defended by the Whitebeard Pirates but is now coincidentally owned and extorted by Big Mom. Weeble’s Mom also seems to specifically want her son to take out the Whitebeard Pirates because they gain money from it. I don’t see why fighting the Whitebeard Pirates would provide more money then taking down any random group of strong pirates so it seems Bucking and her constituents are interested in the systematic destruction of the Whitebeard Pirates. If this theory is true it would be because Whitebeard’s territories are a great opportunity for Big Mom’s schemes and she will pay Weeble’s mom for Weeble clearing them.

        tl;dr
Edward Weeble may not be Whitebeard’s actual son and his mom is an associate of Big Mom who is tricking him into unintentionally fighting Big Mom’s enemies namely the Whitebeard Pirates so Big Mom can sweep into his former territories and “give them protection”/run a racketeering scheme.

WEEBLE: How is he related to Whitebeard? What are his powers?

          ***SPOILER ALERT***

Here are a few things about Weeble that I have noted. Now, I know I’m totally unique in making a Weeble theory, not like I’ve seen five of them already, all of which seem to be very concrete. So here, I’m going to talk about Weeble’s fighting style and powers as well as his relation with Whitebeard.

So, part 1: how is Weeble related to Whitebeard?
I personally believe that Weeble is infact a Zombie. Many people think he is a hoax. And my idea blends two palinodes of the spectrum together. He is a Zombie, who is made of parts of Whitebeards body, technically making him Whitebeards own flesh and blood, quite literally. The Hoax is in Bucking, whom is not a lover but rather a subordinate from somebody’s crew…

          Now, let’s have a look:

          [IMG][IMG]

He has stitches like Moriah’s Zombies! One thing I also noticed was his Moustache is around the same size as Whitebeards moustache. Or rather, half of his moustache. It looks bigger on this fella because he is smaller but I genuinely think that is Whitebeard’s moustache.

Now you may ask, why would Moriah make a Zombie out of Whitebeard? Why didn’t he use the entire corpse? If he is a Whitebeard Zombie he should look like Whitebeard, right? Well, to answer the latter, Whitebeard was completely #rekt by the end of the war. This is why Moriah only used certain pieces of Whitebeards body: explaining the immense difference in appearance.

Now, remember the insane strength that Kizaru mentioned?

That is literally Whitebeard’s strength. They have the same arms. Moriah made Weeble because he needed a new super powerful Zombie. Initially wanting to use Oz, he had a far better and more powerful corpse to use: should he ever find the location of it’s gravesite: Whitebeard’s. This is in order to seek vengeance upon Kaidou, and his old crewmember, the sole survivor from Kaidou’s attack; Bucking, was in on this plan and keen to reap vengeance too.

Of course, given such tiny evidence, it’s still very much in the balance.

Now, part 2: what are his powers and how does he fight?
Like all Shichibukai (except Buggy), he has a Animal theme. The strength of the themes of each Shichibukai varies from one to another (e.g. very weak with Law, very strong with Hancock and Jinbe), I believe that Weeble is very strongly related to his animal theme: Weevils.

          As we know:
Dracule Mihawk = Hawk (Hawk eyes….)
Crocodile = Crocodile (In his name, Bananadiles, Most crocodiles live in rivers in desert habitats)
Donquixote Doflamingo = Flamingo (Pink feather coat, long legs and awkward positions)
Bartholomew Kuma = Bear (Kuma means bear, paws)
Gekko Moriah = Bat + Gecko (Shadows, bats are signature move, Gecko is in his name)
Boa Hancock = Snake (Snake Princess, pet snake Salome)
Jinbe = Whaleshark (A Whaleshark fishman, summons Whalesharks like Gandalf summons eagles)
Trafalgar D. Water Law = Tiger (“Torao”… will fight Fujitora, Whisteria tiger in future, in my opinion)
          Edward Weeble = Weevil

Now, why is Weeble based on Weevils? Well: firstly, his name is very similar. Secondly, his body is also shaped similarly to a Weevil. His moustache also reminds me of Antennae.

What is interesting about this link is that some Bats and Gecko’s both eat Weevils among other pray. These animals are Moriah’s themes. This strengthens the links between Moriah and Weeble. Now, knowing this, assuming he is a zombie he automatically has the following traits:

          • No sense of pain
          • No fatigue

Now, this being said, given his shape and size, he likely uses his body in a similar fashion to the likes of Machvise, this is only strengthened and used intelligently as he has no sense of pain: making it easy for him to fight putting his body on the line.

Now, this being said, as he is partly made of Whitebeard, he will likely have immense stamina and power. His muscular strength is almost innumerable and incalculable, as can be seen by the ship in the middle of the town in the background:

He has another benefit from Whitebeard’s flesh. He is likely similar to Kaido in a sense that his skin is likely to be far more impenetrable than normal skin, due to Whitebeard’s muscularity it will help to avoid injury, making him very much like a total tank, it will take a lot to hurt this guy, and even then he won’t feel the pain.

With the everincreasing importance of SMILE devil fruits, it’s also very plausible that to further strengthen his new Zombie, Moriah will have fed a SMILE devil fruit to Weeble. This Devil Fruit, believe it or not is a Weevil devil fruit. The Mushi Mushi no Mi Model: Zoumushi. (Oh yeah, Elephant Beatle likely symbolises he will be involved on Zou, if not, then it at least resembles the arc of his introduction). What benefits would he have a Weevil-Man?

          Weevils:
-Immense appetites, given his size, he could have a huge appetite as is symbolic of and stereotypical of large guts. This is just one means of being destructive.
-His shell is immensely strong, making him even more of a tank than before
-Six limbs just gives him even more ability and means to destroy things, his strength will be even more devastating

Now, I’m sure there’s one question on everyone’s minds: If he’s a Zombie then how did Bucking hurt him?

That’s because I believe that Weeble is in fact still partly alive, as in the fact that his legs and body do not go together makes me think his legs are his weak spots. They look frail too. I believe his legs were preserved and kept alive by Hogback after an incredible discovery (which will later aid Chopper to cure any disease or injury including amputations).

Now, I know a lot of this is a longshot, but it would be amazing if this was true.

            THE PEOPLE ON ZOU

Theory on how the people on Zou got on the back of the elephant.

            1
The elephant originally lived on an inhabited island and the villagers adored it.

It kept growing and eventually couldn’t fit on the island anymore, but lived in the waters around the island. (Possibly used by the people for transportation between islands?)

The island was attacked by pirates/marines(Something about the void century? Ponoglyph on the elephant?) and the inhabitants fled the island on the elephant.

They hated people because they thought them scum (if attacked by pirates) or saw how the government easily betrayed their own and decided to create and army/live in seclusion. (if attacked by government.)

The elephant wanders around the ocean to lose their pursuers and continued to do so. (Might be running and the reason for their being attacked because they were a part of the old kingdom that was destroyed.)

So what do you guys think?

ZORO THE DRAGON BUDDHA: CROSSING THE TEN PATHS

Hello once again everyone and welcome back to another theory for your constipation. This time I shall be diving into the path to purification of Roronoa Zoro.

Luffy, Zoro and Sanji; the defiance, the demon and the devil; the monkey, the dragon and the phoenix; Sun Wukong, Ao Guang and Yama.

You all are probably wondering what I mean when I say “dragon Buddha” and half of it is just Zoro’s future animal spirit. I believe Zoro is becoming a dragon and is on a path to Buddhahood. From Shark, to tiger, to Dragon, to Buddha.

Hold on….isn’t Sengoku already a Buddha? Yes, but he’s not a real one. The real Buddha is skinny.

Sengoku is the fat laughing Buddha; one of the 7 Lucky Gods of Fortune.

In the popular Chinese novel Journey To The West(plan on doing a topic on Sun Wukong-OP connection soon), Sun Wukong, The Monkey King was on a rampage on the only one who was able to keep him in line was Buddha. Luffy is obviously based off Sun Wukong(like DBZ Goku) and Zoro acts as Luffy’s “Buddha.”

Okay then….Zoro is crossing the ten paths of Buddhahood and he is waling multiple paths at once. The following paths(also known as worlds) are as follows:
              (1) hell
              (2) hungry spirits
              (3) animals
              (4) asuras
              (5) human beings
              (6) heavenly beings
              (7) voice-hearers
              (8) cause-awakened ones
              (9) bodhisattvas
              (10) Buddhas

Paths 1 through 4 are known as the evil paths and for most of pre-TS, Zoro was a shark(keep this in mind).

(1)Hell indicates a condition in which living itself is misery and suffering, and in which, devoid of all freedom, one’s anger and rage become a source of further self-destruction.

Zoro has yet to be consumed by his rage(I believe he will in Wano) but he does get really angry when it comes to Sanji….and Nami…..and Luffy……and Usopp…..

              (2) The world of hungry spirits. Also called the world of hunger. A condition governed by endless desire for such things as food, profit, pleasure, power, recognition, or fame, in which one is never truly satisfied. The above work reads, “Greed is the world of hungry spirits.”

Zoro wants power to be able to achieve his dream. Eevn when he makes a breakthrough, he is still unsatisfied with himself cause he believes do better.

Remember when I said Zoro was a shark? All sharks do is eat and lets not forget the most important thing; Zoro loves booze.

              (3) The world of animals. Also called the world of animality. It is a condition driven by instinct and lacking in reason, morality, or wisdom with which to control oneself. In this condition, one is ruled by the “law of the jungle,” standing in fear of the strong, but despising and preying upon those weaker than oneself. The same work states, “Foolishness is the world of animals.”

Zoro became infamous in East Blue by hunting pirates weaker than him and referred to as a blood-thirsty demon. Zoro was also very foolish in challenging the WSS at the Baratie.

              (4) The world of asuras. Also called the world of animosity or the world of anger. In Indian mythology, asuras are arrogant and belligerent demons. This condition is called the world of animosity because it is characterized by persistent, though not necessarily overt, aggressiveness. The Object of Devotion for Observing the Mind states, “Perversity is the world of asuras.” It is a condition dominated by ego, in which excessive pride prevents one from revealing one’s true self or seeing others as they really are. Compelled by the need to be superior to others or surpass them at any cost, one may feign politeness and even flatter others while inwardly despising them. The worlds of hell, hungry spirits, animals, and asuras are collectively called the four evil paths.

Arrogance, pride, aggressiveness, ego. a fraking asura….do I even need to explain? I mean Zoro is SOOOO arrogant that….

              [IMG][IMG]

I’ll now have to talk about the swords Zoro had during his travels of the 4 evil paths.

Zoro’s first sword was the Wado Ichimonji which means “Straight Path of Harmony.” Its pure white sheath represents purity, enlightenment and good.

Zoro’s 2nd sword was the Yubashiri which means “Song of My Skin.” It is a very sharp, light and easy to manage sword that it symbolized with its golden pattern.

Zoro’s 3rd sword is one that symbolizes the evil paths; The cursed Sandai Kitetsu which means “Third Generation Demon Cutter.” The grip and scabbard of the sword is almost completely red which symbolizes rage, anger and blood( Off topic but Shiliew’s sword sheath is white but is red at the bottom with a few red spots. It symbolizes tainted purity).

From the get go, Zoro knew the sandai was a cursed sword and liked it.

              [IMG][IMG]

Lastly, as for the evil paths, did you know that Zoro actually feared death? That’s right. Zoro was afraid to die at one point because he wanted to achieve his dream that badly.

              [IMG][IMG]

              ***********************

Paths 5 and 6 goes along with paths 1 to 4 and make the 6 paths of uncertainty. More on this later.

              (5) The world of human beings. Also called the world of humanity. The same work reads, “Calmness is the world of human beings.” In this state, one tries to control one’s desires and impulses with reason and act in harmony with one’s surroundings and other people, while also aspiring for a higher state of life.

Zoro constantly scolds Luffy on remaining focused and curses himself when he ‘loses his cool” during his fights like with square Kaku and high-pitch Pica. Zoro knows he has to stay focus or his dream of being WSM will bite the dust.

              (6) The world of heavenly beings. Also called the world of heaven. The same work states, “Joy is the world of heaven.” This is a condition of contentment and joy that one feels when released from suffering or upon satisfaction of some desire. It is a temporary joy that is dependent upon and may easily change with circumstances. The six worlds from hell through the world of heavenly beings are called the six paths. Beings in the six paths, or those who tend toward these states of life, are largely controlled by the restrictions of their surroundings and are therefore extremely vulnerable to changing circumstances.

All of Zoro’s victories and joy is short lived. He defeated Mr 1 but his joy of victory didn’t last long and he did not know what his path led from there; He managed to defeat Kaku and save Robin in EL but his sowrd Yubashiri was destroyed; Moriah was defeated and Zoro got a new sword, but Kuma appeared and Zoro almost died.

By the time Thriller Bark came along, Zoro became a tiger.

A tiger is actually very passive and only gets aggressive when its on the hunt or is protecting its cubs. If it doesn’t see you as a threat, it’ll let you go. Living up to the paths of humanity and now being a tiger, Zoro tried to sacrifice himself to protect Luffy.

              *****************

Paths 7 to 10 are known as the 4 noble paths.

              (7) The world of voice-hearers, a condition in which one awakens to the impermanence of all things and the instability of the six paths. Also called the world of learning. In this state, one dedicates oneself to creating a better life through self-reformation and self-development by learning from the ideas, knowledge, and experience of one’s predecessors and contemporaries. “Voice-hearers” (shrāvaka) originally meant those who listen to the Buddha preach the four noble truths and practice the eightfold path in order to acquire emancipation from earthly desires.

For starters, Zoro can hear the breath of all things(needs work though).

Zoro completely swallowed his pride to beg Mihawk to train him. He decided to better himself for the sake of his captain more so than his own dreams.

              [IMG][IMG]

As you know, after the TS, Zoro overcame the uncertainties of the six paths; thanks to his 2 year training, he has crossed the six paths and is now on his path to becoming a dragon. Overcoming the 6 paths has been symbolizes with this panel.

Zoro has crossed the six paths of uncertainty; his path is clear. Zoro aims to be the WSS and knows that if he cant help his captain become the Pirate King, then he isn’t worthy of becoming the WSS. Zoro is now a full fledged tiger and is one his journey to becoming a dragon.

Zoro’s 4th sword, Shusui symbolizes his clear path. Shusui means “Clear Autumn Water” and autumn is the season of change. Shusui is the national treasure of Wano and Wano seems to follow Shinto and Buddhist religion and dragons are viewed as snake-like water serpents that should be slain.

The crossguard is also shaped like a lotus; a chrysanthemum lotus to be exact which is the Imperial Seal of Japan.

Ryuuma, the previous owner of the Shusui, slayed a dragon using the blade. In Punk Hazard, Zoro used the Shusui to slay a dragon.

Also in Punk Hazard, Zoro “slayed” another creature from Shintoism with a move called “Great Dragon Movement,” calling himself a beast.

              [IMG][IMG]

Lastly, Shusui is heavy and destructive, symbolizing the burden Zoro willingly carries on his back toward his dream as well as his captain’s. Have you noticed that it has become Zoro’s favorite blade for itoryu techniques over the TS? Shusui is also a black blade with a flowing red pattern.

Black represents power, fear, mystery, evil, death, authority, elegance, formality, strength, rebellion and sophistication. The color black surrounding the flowing red pattern symbolizes Zoro’s control over his bloodlust and the Sandai Kitetsu.
              **************************

Paths 8 and 9 will be Zoro’s complete transformation into a dragon(in Wano).

              (8) The world of cause-awakened ones, a condition in which one perceives the impermanence of all phenomena and strives to free oneself from the sufferings of the six paths by seeing some lasting truth through one’s own observations and effort. Also called the world of realization. “Cause-awakened ones,” also known as “self-awakened ones” (pratyekabuddha), originally meant those who attain a form of emancipation by perceiving the twelve-linked chain of causation or by observing natural phenomena. Persons in the worlds of voice-hearers and cause-awakened ones, which are together called persons of the two vehicles, are given more to the pursuit of self-perfection than to altruism. They are also willing to look squarely at the reality of death and seek the eternal, in contrast to those in the world of heaven, who are distracted from life’s harsh realities.

              (9) The world of bodhisattvas, a state of compassion in which one thinks of and works for others’ happiness even before becoming happy oneself. Bodhisattva, which consists of bodhi (enlightenment) and sattva (beings), means a person who seeks enlightenment while leading others to enlightenment. Bodhisattvas find that the way to self-perfection lies only in altruism, working for the enlightenment of others even before their own enlightenment. Nichiren states in The Object of Devotion for Observing the Mind: “Even a heartless villain loves his wife and children. He too has a portion of the bodhisattva world within him”.

              (10) The world of Buddhas, or Buddhahood. This is a state of perfect and absolute freedom in which one realizes the true aspect of all phenomena or the true nature of life. One can achieve this state by manifesting the Buddha nature inherent in one’s life. From the standpoint of the philosophy of the mutual possession of the Ten Worlds, Buddhahood should not be viewed as a state removed from the sufferings and imperfections of ordinary persons. Attaining Buddhahood does not mean becoming a special being. In this state, one still continues to work against and defeat the negative functions of life and transform any and all difficulty into causes for further development. It is a state of complete access to the boundless wisdom, compassion, courage, and other qualities inherent in life; with these one can create harmony with and among others and between human life and nature. In the above work, Nichiren states, “Buddhahood is the most difficult to demonstrate”, but he also says, “That ordinary people born in the latter age can believe in the Lotus Sutra is due to the fact that the world of Buddhahood is present in the human world”.

This is reserved for when Zoro achieves his dream and is relieved of all burdens.

                RYOKUGYU’S DEVIL FRUIT POWERS

To begin, we have to look at the possible patterns Oda is trying to implement in the new trio of Admirals. The two obvious ones to me are:

                – Physics based
                – Each with their own type of fruit

Lots of people think that Ryokugyu will have a Bull or Minotaur Zoan, which I don’t believe makes any sense. For starters, none of the Admirals have powers that are in any way related to the Animal half of their code names. And secondly because we’ve already seen a Minotaur (Minotaurus in Impel Down), who also ate the Ushi Ushi no Mi, and Dalton has been shown with his Bison fruit which is also very similar. Having such a weak fruit in comparison to the other Admirals would be very undermining and to be quite honest; disappointing.

                Patterns of the Admirals
All Admirals have a codename comprised of two parts. A colour that reflects or relates to their abilities, and an animal which relates to their personality. So far we’ve seen:

                – Kuzan, named Aokiji (Blue Pheasant), with the power of the Hie Hie no Mi and a rather lazy temperament, although always with justice in mind. He follows Lazy Justice
                – Borsalino, named Kizaru (Yellow Monkey), with the power of the Pika Pika no Mi, he’s very unpredictable and acts in his own interests. He follows Selfish Justice
                – Sakazuki, named Akainu (Red Dog), with the power of the Magu Magu no Mi. Sakazuki is an absolutist and extremely radical, you could even say unrelenting. He follows Absolute Justice
                – Issho, named Fujitora (Whisteria Tiger), with the power of his unnamed Gravity fruit, he’s very instinctive and will do what he feels is right, and it’s not always a just cause. He follows Blind Justice

So we’re left with just Ryokugyu which means Green Bull. Green, as we in western culture see it is a very calming colour. However, in Japan Green is regarded as a demonic colour. This is why Zoro’s hair is green as he is commonly regarded by other characters as demonic.

Due to his or her name, we can gather that Ryo’s power will relate to the colour green and that his personality is likely very spontaneous and/or aggressive. Since his powers relate to the colour green and he will fit a pattern as previously mentioned being either science related or a Zoan fruit (as Borsalino has a Logia and Issho has a Paramecia).

                The Scientific Possibility
Borsalino’s power is Light. Issho’s power is Gravity. Hence it’s probable that Ryo will have a science based fruit relating to the colour Green. Personally, I think of Radiation. The spontaneity of Radiation also matches his personality. One of the main archetype of Justice yet to be followed by an Admiral is “Corrupt Justice”, which green CAN represent in some cultures. And since Radiation can effect the properties of different elements or substances, this can be seen as “corruption”.

The Radiation fruit would be a Paramecia and allow Ryo to create Radioactive waste from his body, and produce endless quantities. This would be a formidable power for the following reasons:

                1. Fighting him/her, even being close to him/her would be dangerous and incredibly risky

                2. Radiation has a plethora of uses. It can be extremely destructive and corroding as seen with Nuclear Bomb blasts but also has Medical properties such as X-Rays

                3. Upon ignition the fruit could be more explosive than any Magu Magu no Mi or Hie Hie no Mi attack
                4. He can weaken opponents through mere contact, much like Crocodile

                5. By contaminating the area around him, much like Magellan, he will become much harder to fight

Damn son. That’s one helluva Devil Fruit!

                The Zoan Possibility
As the Pika Pika no Mi and Issho’s fruit are of different types, it’s possible that Ryo’s power will be a Zoan. The last type to be seen in an Admiral (And Sengoku doesn’t count!). Given the name and colour, I deduced two things: Zoans relating to green are either Reptiles of today or prehistoric, or Mythical. The prospect of a Mythical Zoan is quite appealing, and would most likely be far more overpowered and worthy than an Ancient or regular Zoan. Given the animal in his codename is “Bull”, with the common urban legend that Bulls panic or attack when they see red (out of fear), I believe his weakness could be intense heat. Another of the archetypes of Justice Oda has yet to explore is “Pacifistic/Peaceful Justice”, a theme Green CAN represent depending on culture.

What is weak to heat and green?

Yeah. Ryo could be a Tree-Ent Zoan. With the ability to transform partially or fully into a sentient tree… Doesn’t sound great, but it’s powers certainly are

                1. Ability to grow trees and other forms of plant life almost instantaneously

                2. This can be used for both offensive and defensive means, the possibilities are limitless
                3. It would have medical properties, as most medicines contain ingredients from plants

                4. He/she will be able to absorb water, one of his own weaknesses, similar to Crocodile
                5. Self regenerating, although at a slower rate than Marco, afterall, Trees can grow

                That’s also extremely powerful

                Is this foreshadowing?

[IMG] There is an Elephant, Sakazuki is growing a plant and a large tree in the background

                Conclusion:
Ryokugyu will have one of two possible fruits: The Radiation Fruit (Aru Aru no Mi – Abbreviation of Alpha phoneticised to Japanese pronunciation) or the Tree Ent Fruit (Tsuri Tsuri no Mi). Either one is incredibly overpowered and versatile for offence, defence and medical purposes. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed

                  DONQUIXOTE SANJI Theory

This is a theory about Sanji being Donquixote.

                  • he called himself Mr. Prince
                  • was called Prince of dumbass kingdom
                  • he has an RH- bloodtype; it is theorized that those with RH- blood are actually world leaders who are aliens in disguise

Here is the timeline..don’t bother watching it

Trafalgar’s age is “26”, but he tells Doflamingo that he’ll pay for what he did 13 yrs ago, alluding to Rocinante’s death when Trafalgar was 10, and when we flash back 16 yrs ago Trafalgar was 7yrs 7 months, making him about 23 right now (chap.724 pg.19, chap.761. pg 13).

Age inconsistencies happen all the time in One Piece so it’s no big deal. Honestly, I would say all ages are approximate and have some wiggle room. I think it would make sense if Sanji was a little bit younger as well.

-Both blonde, and Sanji has those prize winning Donquixote family legs
-Sanji was born in the North Blue but grew up in the East Blue (chap. 227 pg. 7)
-Sanji has an unusually rare blood type, maybe it’s because he’s from an unusually rare bloodline?
-Only crew member who hasn’t lost a named loved one, and Oda wouldn’t miss a chance to kill off some kid’s family unless he had something bigger planned.
                  -Both hard smokers
-Rocinante caught himself on fire..just like Sanji’s leg xD – don’t take this seriously
-Sanji’s coat in Film Z is very similar to Rocinante’s
                  [IMG]

Why was Sanji working on The Orbit?

-Rocinante doesn’t want Doflamingo to find out about him, because Doflamingo has a habit of killing everyone. If things go sour and Rocinante is revealed as a marine, he would want his kid as underground as possible.

-Rocinante doesn’t want people to know Sanji is related to the Donquixote family because of their heritage. People hated and attacked them when they found out about their connection to the Celestial Dragons.

-He just wanted them to have a normal life and maybe that’s what Rocinante wants for his son too.

Or maybe it’s none of these, but one way or another he gets on that boat.

Rocinante’s personality suggests he may be a father. He loves kids, which is why he tries so hard to discourage Baby 5, Buffalo, and Law from joining the crew. He doesn’t want to see them get killed/arrested. On their quest for a cure, Rocinante treats Law like a son. Is it because he misses his own son?

You may say now that Sanji would know if he is Donquixote..no he wouldn’t know, simple because he doesn’t remember his father,he was still kid when guy left him

He tried to see Sanji for one last time before leaving – he got on fire Ch. 49 page 5
                  [IMG]

And by all this, Sanji will be king of Dressrosa.. someone made a theory that Zoro will be king of Wano Kuni.

                    SEVENTH SHICHIBUKAI FINALLY REVEALED

Others have tried to crack the seventh Shichibukai for awhile. Now it’s my turn. Who is the seventh Shichibukai? Many believe he is a brand new character, however, I only half agree. While the seventh character is new to the manga, he isn’t new to the OP universe. I’m talking about Shiki.

I mentioned Shiki’s return in another theory before, so I’ll transfer info here.

So first thing is first, why did Oda bothered mentioning Shiki? It doesn’t make any since for useless info to be added. Knowing Oda, he just doesn’t add unnecessary info to his story. Shiki has some kind of significant purpose outside his feat of breaking out of Impel Down.

We know Shiki is cannon thanks to Oda and that the early events before the story started actually occurred. The movie Strong World on the other hand is not cannon and should be completely disregarded. We also know Zephyr as a character is cannon, with his Z movie also not considered cannon like Strong World. Zephyr was an Admiral for the Marines until he left after losing his men to the very person who became the seventh Shichibukai.

                    Now look right here:
                    x
                    Now look here:

Shiki the Golden Lion has been around for a long time. Zephyr in the movie died at 74. He was an admiral at 38 and an instructor at 41. That’s a 36 year gap to be filled.

Now Shiki competed with Roger during his days of piracy. Considering how he talks to Whitebeard (example shown below) and the fact that he fought Roger on equal grounds comes to tell you that Shiki is no pushover. But what if Shiki was responsible for causing the incident to Zephyr and was the one who cut his arm off? Shiki is a swordsman after all, though now his swords are his legs.

Shiki marched straight into the former Marine HQ and slaughtered a mountain of marines. It took Sengoku and Garp to bring him down, and he still escaped after being thrown into the impenetrable fortress that is the Impel Down. So this doesn’t surprise me if Shiki toppled Zephyr in a fight.

Let’s continue about Shiki. Last time we saw him, he was on a jungle island somewhere in the Grand Line, it could be Paradise or the New World, it never mentioned which.
                    hy
But what if this island was actually Zou.

Yes, the mountains look slightly different with the 785 chapter showing an unusual tree species than the Strong World chapter. But also look here:

Who is he/she? (Looks like a she to me) She may be a result of Shiki’s planning.

Note a lot could change, and the mountain could have suffered physical alterations (highly doubt it), but keep Zou in mind. Say Shiki is on Zou, the seventh Shichibukai is yet to be fully revealed. Based on how Oda is introducing these new characters, I am expecting the seventh Shichibukai and third Admiral within the next two-to-four arcs.

                    Look here:
okAll these characters are only being shown their heads, not their full bodies. Notice what is under Buggy’s head, we have something “furry” of some sort shown. Some are saying that it’s part of Buggy’s shoulder wear. Others claim its Doflamingo’s coat. I say it is neither, it is the seventh Shichibukai. Let’s do an elimination, don’t we?
The marines and revolutionaries have their own panels, so I will eliminate any possibility of them being that “fur” thing. Here are the Yonko:
                    • Shanks
                    • Big Mam
                    • Kaido
                    • Blackbeard
                    Shichibukai:
                    • Doflamingo Donquixote
                    • Dracule Mihawk
                    • Boa Hancock
                    • Bartholomew Kuma
                    • Trafalgar Law
                    • Buggy
                    • Unknown Shichibukai
                    Worst Generation:
                    • Monkey D Luffy
                    • Roronoa Zoro
                    • Eustass Kidd
                    • Killer
                    • Basil Hawkins
                    • Scratchmen Apoo
                    • Trafalgar Law
                    • X Drake
                    • Urouge
                    • Jewelry Bonney
                    • Capone Bege

As you see, everyone above except the seventh and Doflamingo has their face shown. But that “furry” thing isn’t Doflamingo specifically because the pattern of Doflamingo’s coat and the “fur” object are different. It isn’t Jack either because he shares the same pattern as Doflamingo.

Notice how in both pictures, the coats appear more feather-like rather than a downward spike pattern. But look at Shiki’s hair:

A perfect match from a cone top to a spread as the pattern descends.

With the text bubble in the way, likely on purpose, any evidence of a steering wheel lodged in the way is none. This is likely as Oda doesn’t want us to guess who the last Shichibukai really is, and Shiki’s twenty year old plan will finally come to play during Luffy’s era.

An extra side note, unrelated to the theory, look at the head underneath Akainu next to Fujitora and Kizaru. No doubt that is the thrid Admiral. Keep your eyes out for character with curly dark hair.

Anyway, back to topic, Zephyr left the marines because of the injustice of allowing the seventh Shichibukai to join the ranks of exempt pirates. To be a Shichibukai you have to be well-known with a threat that can put fear among other pirates. But why would Shiki want to join the very group of people that were responsible for Roger’s death. Well he has something planned, and he means to show the world the true terror of a pirate. If you ask me, he will play a significant role in the initiation of the Throne Wars described by Doflamingo, and against the Worst Generation, the Yonko, and the Shichibukai, he will open a wrath unlike any other seen in One Piece. What is he planning? Whatever it is, he is likely pulling a Blackbeard in using his special status.

Before I end this, there begs one last question. Why would the WG allow Shiki to join the Shichibukai? Well he does meet the qualifications to become one, he is also on par with the Yonko as far as strength goes. If anything, the WG were probably desperate for the power needed to fill in the missing strength gap that Aokoji, Blackbeard, Gecko Moriah and Crocodile left vacant. This leaves the WG bouncing back from an almost ruptured power-struggle.

                    To rap things up:
                    • Shiki is back
                    • Shiki is the seventh Shichibukai
                    • Shiki is responsible for cutting Zephyr’s arm
                    • Shiki may be on Zou
                    • Shiki will be revealed in the next arc or two

                    And done…
