Shanks and Blackbeard

Here is a guess about these two characters.

I find it suspicious how Shanks was implicated into the whole Ace and Teach fight. We know that Rayleigh knows about the void century, the will of D, he knows everything. It is the same for Shanks, problably, since he was in Roger’s crew as well.
Going with this, I believe that Shanks try to find “that man” that Crocus, and Whitebeard were talking about. Of course we know it’s Luffy, but Shanks as a character, I think his duty is to find that man, and he kinda did it with Luffy and the whole bet about the new generation.

Here is another example of Shanks ‘duty’ when he says to Cody that these few seconds of courage “have just made a huge difference in the fate of the world”, and these seconds of courage have indeed, distracted Kizaru’s shot that was going to finish Luffy. Shanks definitely sees luffy as the man that will change the world, the man awaited by Roger and co.

Now about the Ace vs Teach confrontation. Why did Shanks want to prevent this? “It’s not yet time for them to face each other!!” What is the meaning of that line? Is it the idea of two “D” confronting each other? It make me think about Luffy vs Teach. Two “D” confronting each other might inevitably lead to big changes in the world? That’s the case for Ace vs Teach, and it will probably be the case when Luffy will face Teach.

Now about the relationship between Shanks and Teach:

Why is he so concerned about Teach? Yes, there is the scar, but that’s it? I think it goes way beyond that. Now, theory time. I think that Shanks was friend with Teach.

I don’t think that Shanks could have deduces all of this, simply by having a fight against Teach. Shanks knows him pretty well, his ambition, his dream, his real power and so on. Why didn’t he say all of this to WB? First, because WB would not care and Shanks knows it, secondly, Oda might keep all of this for a flasback involving Shanks and Teach.

Now about the scar, the most important element:

“What ashes me now, is this one”. Really? Shanks lost his arm, suffered various wounds, he is an emperor, yet this simple scar would hurt him? I think the meaning behind this line, is that Shanks suffers from this scar because of the meaning behind it, not physically. If they were friends, I can totally imagine Teach betraying Shanks for some reasons.

But when would they meet? Why would they talk each other? Why would they become friends?

“This wound isn’t from my adventures”. I think it’s safe to say that by “adventures” Shanks means his journey with Roger, and his journey with his own crew.
Here is a timeline:

I think that longtime ago, after Roger’s death, Shanks met Teach and have seen in him the man that was awaited by Roger and co. Teach is a D, and Shanks could have been interested by him just like he was with Luffy. Shanks made a mistake and picked the wrong guy, that’s my guess. Why is Teach so confident about his fate? What does he know about the D? I think he knows almost everthing, thanx to Shanks. And that’s why Shanks might be so concerned by Teach. He was still young, and he made a mistake. He told him everything. Learning from his mistakes, he then did the opposite with Luffy, telling him nothing but just giving him hope and motives.

Why did they fight? Being a nobody (Teach’s childhood picture), I guess that knowing all of this story and his incredible fate, it changed him. He might have become greedy and power hungry from this moment.

And now:

They will probably end all of this with a fight.
So yea, that’s my 2cents about this.

    Blackbeard, Whitebeard and Thatch Connections

Blackbeard’s real name was Edward Teach he was called Thatch until he became Captain of his own pirate ship and created Blackbeard.

In One Piece Marshall D Teach, Thatch, and Edward Newgate (whitebeard) all trace back to Edward Teach, Blackbeard is know as Teach until he murders Thatch and leaves that name, becoming Blackbeard with the killing of Whitebeard no longer “Teach”

HOW DEVIL FRUITS ARE MADE AND WORK/WHY BLACKBEARD CAN USE MORE THAN 1 FRUIT

      blackbeard__marshall_d__teach_by_tien1990pirate-d4w4apl

When we were introduced to Artificial Devil Fruits I didn’t really think about what this actually meant. It wasn’t until recently when I saw Sheepshead using horns for arms that I thought, how’s he doing that?! Then I thought, well Vegapunk and Caesar must have some scientific knowledge of how Devil Fruits work, but that must mean Devil Fruits are made logically and scientifically, and aren’t supernatural. This got me thinking, how can all these crazy ass Devil Fruits not be supernatural?! It was from this question that I started this theory, I undertook a scientific approach as to how Devil Fruits are made and how they work.
It’s a LONG theory as I wanted to be as thorough as possible, taking a step by step approach. From this I drew a number of conclusions, ones which made me want to analyse Blackbeard through new eyes. After doing so, I now believe I know how Blackbeard can use more than 1 Devil Fruit. Let’s begin!

Let me start with a few propositions that I’ll explain fully throughout the theory:
      1) All Devil Fruits are made from a specific aspect or aspects of the One Piece universe.
      2) Devil Fruits are created by a Devil Tree, the fruits are created through a scientific process with scientific components.
      3) Devil Fruits need a Soul and Body to fuse/conjoin with for the Fruit to come to life.

I imagine some of you will be wondering why I’m explaining Devil Fruits as ‘aspects of the One Piece universe’. The main reason is because all Devil Fruit abilities can be explained by our understanding of the One Piece universe, both scientifically and creatively. I’ll explain this further by labelling 6 aspects of the this universe which are used to create Devil Fruits:

      1 Biology (life forms)

A Devil Fruit that’s formed using the biology of a specific life form, basically DNA and other biological aspects that make a particular existence. This means Zoans and Ancient Zoans, i.e. Lucci’s Leopard Fruit.

      2) Chemistry (chemical compounds/elements etc)

A Devil Fruit that’s formed using atomic structures and other aspects of chemistry that account for the inanimate matter of the One Piece universe, i.e. Luffy’s Gomu Gomu no Mi, how he can stretch etc.

      3) Physics (natural laws/physical occurences of the universe)

This aspect is abour matter and it’s motion in relation to the OP universe. This being phenomena like electricity/gravity/light, i.e. Issho’s Fuwa Fuwa no Mi, being able to attract mass to mass.

Until now, the aspects I’ve mentioned can all be attributed scientifically to real life, the next two aspects will be in relation to human creation. However, I will explain how all Devil Fruits the next two aspects can be explained by biology, chemistry and physics.

      4) Artificial Life Forms (mythical creatures)

This aspect basically explains how Mythical Zoans are created, by using myths humans of One Piece have created and scientific components to create them. I will now break down Marco’s Phoenix Fruit. A Pheonix takes its biological attributes from birds. The creation of wings, birds feet, a beak etc, and how they function. His blue flames have the properties of actual flames. The regenerative aspect will be based on human’s ability to heal wounds, essentially the idea of restoration is restoring that which already existed. Another example is Sengoku’s Daibutsu Fruit using shockwaves, this is an example of the physics aspect.
One question you may ask though, how do you create flames that don’t burn? I will answer this when I explain how the Devil Tree works.

      5) Artificial abilities/actions

This aspect will draw upon the first 3 aspects once more, but the question ‘how is it possible’ will be asked again, therefore the ablilities here are those which could artificially work in theory (again this will be clear when I explain how the Devil Tree works).
First example, Wapol’s Baku Baku no Mi, this is an interesting fruit because I believe it mirrors a function of the Devil Tree. Wapol can take any physical objects/beings in the world, eat them, conjoin/fuse them, and create artificial objects, be them weapons or toys. A unique Fruit indeed! It’s this type of fusion that I believe the Devil Tree is capable of when creating fruits.
Another example is Kanjuro’s Devil Fruit, again I think it’s based on an aspect of the Devil Tree. Kanjuro can bring drawings to life, artificial creation. Be it a bird flying or food to eat, Kanjuro can create life forms or matter with real physical functions. The Devil Tree is similar because once a person eats a Devil Fruit the Fruit has life through the person, and therefore has physical functions, i.e. Luffy being able to stretch.

The last aspect is vitally important, because it’s not something, as of yet, we can scientifically confirm as existing. Philosophers have theorised for hundreds of years on this subject and it’s hard to believe we’ll ever be able to know. What I’m talking about is Souls. However, Oda has confirmed through a few different characters that Souls exist, but actually shows us how they work. In other words, in the universe of One Piece, Souls work scientifically.

      6) Spirituality (Souls)

I’m going to analyse 3 characters who will shed some light on how Souls function in One Piece. They are Brook, Gecko Moria and Trafalgar D. Law.

I’m going to start with Brook and the Yomi Yomi no Mi, beginning with a quote from the One Piece wikia:

‘(The Yomi Yomi no Mi) enhances the users Soul to the point where they can come back after dying once, remaining alive until sufficiently damaged, and to use several other soul-based attributes’.

Brook’s body clearly has no brain (mind), so he definitely has a Soul. One could attempt to counter this by saying Brook’s Fruit has an ‘Artificial Life Form’ as humans have created the myth of humans having Souls. I’d counter by saying you can’t
scientifically create something that doesn’t physically exist (in terms of biology, chemistry and physics). We know Brook has a physical version of his Soul because we’ve seen it leave his body, to our knowledge we don’t know the make-up of Brook’s soul, but we do know it exists. Therefore, I believe spirituality is a branch of science in One Piece. I guess you could say his Devil Fruit is magical but in the next two examples I’ll explain why I don think this is the case.

Secondly, I’ll explain Moria’s ability, again with a quote from One Piece wikia:

‘(Kage Kage no Mi) gives the user the ability to manifest and control shadows, as a tangible physical form… the shadow follows the soul of it’s owner’s movement’

The word to focus on here is ‘physical’. Assuming their is no such thing as a Soul in One Piece, why would Oda allow shadows to mirror a human’s mind? I think it must have to do with how Souls scientifically exist in One Piece. Usually a shadow ‘follows the soul of its owners movements’. Let’s assume ‘soul’ is the wrong term here and a shadow is actually just your your body blocking out the light, why would Oda allow a person’s shadow to be a second personality of that person? I think this has to be beacuse in the world of One Piece shadows hold a conjoined physical relationship with a person’s Soul and Body.

And lastly I’ll explain Law’s Devil Fruit, again with a quote from One Piece wikia :

‘In the case of switched souls Devil Fruit powers are maintained within the original physical body’

This is in relation to Law using his Ope Ope no Mi to switch either Souls or minds between two different people. The Soul notion is backed up when Sanji used Kenbunshoku Haki in Nami’s body. This Haki has been described as ‘spiritual energy’ and I think it can be scientifically explained in the field of spirituality. I also think Busoshoku Haki and Haoshoku Haki can be explained using the Soul. In some kind of scientific way people with strong fighting Souls can harden their body via the Body and Soul connection and those with Haoshoku Haki can use their Soul to intimidate etc.
In relation to the quote, the fact that Law cannot operate on Devil Fruits when switching bodies implies that once a Devil Fruit has fused with a Body it cannot leave it until the Body has no Soul. Chopper didn’t lose his Devil Fruit when his Soul was swapped with Franky’s because Franky’s Soul kept it connected to Chopper’s Body.

      The Devil Tree

I believe Devil Fruit’s come from a Devil Tree for the same reason that has been proposed in numerous other theories. It’s because biblical named Trees exist or have existed in One Piece and it just seems logical a Devil Tree will exist.
From my research I’ve come to the conclusion that the Devil Tree is God-like, I think it’s a omnipotent and omniscient Life Form that is connected to everything in the One Piece universe. I believe the Devil Tree functions like nothing else in One Piece and is capable of using all aspects of the One Piece universe like ingredients to operate with when creating Devil Fruits (similar to how Law can operate in a sphere, in fact I believe Law’s Ope Ope no Mi is scientifically linked to this process). I then believe it scientifically fuses/conjoins the aspects of the One Piece universe together to create the Devil Fruits (I’ve already mentioned how this is similar to Wapol’s Baku Baku no Mi, again I believe this Fruit is a specific aspect of this scientific process). Finally, the Devil Fruit will be eaten and will fuse/conjoin with a Soul and Body (I’ve already mentioned how Kanjuro’s Devil Fruit is similar to this phenomenon, I believe Kanjuro’s ability is to bind a type of Soul to his drawings and that’s why come to life. I think Kanjuro’s Fruit is an aspect of this scientific process.
Just to be clear, when I’m saying every Devil Fruit is a scientific process of scientific components, it’s true of what is scientifically possible in the world of One Piece. I think Vegapunk has some knowledge of the Devil Tree, that’s why Momonosuke can create clouds he can walk on and is a type of dragon, Vegapunk will have been able to replicate the process by using components of the clouds in a Sky Island with the biology of some kind of dragon.

Why Blackbeard can use more than 1 Fruit

I’m going to show a quote by Blackbeard which I think holds a deeper meaning than what’s shown on the surface:

Darkness is gravity! The power to pull everything in… and space not even a ray of light!… Infinite gravity!

We all know Blackbeard has a unique Logia in the Yami Yami no Mi. He can use his ‘infinite gravity’ to gravitate all living things/objects toward him. His darkness can suck all this in like a vortex where he can store them, and he can nullify all Devil Fruit users when touches them.
As you’ll know I already believe that for a Devil Fruit to work it has to be fused/conjoined to a Body and Soul, I also mentioned how Law couldn’t separate a Devil Fruit from a body, this is because the Soul must die first.
If we accept what I’ve said about Souls and how they scientifically work in One Piece, and we focus on the Blackbeard quote, ‘the power to pulleverything in… not even a ray of light!‘. I believe Blackbeard has the ability to suck in Souls! What?! Well, from a dead body. I also believe he can separate the three way relationship between the Body, Soul and Devil Fruit. Blackbeard can suck Devil Fruits toward him when he touches a Devil Fruit user, if he wasn’t touching the user he would be sucking the Body toward his darkness because, as I’ve said, he cannot separate Devil Fruit from an alive person as the Body and Fruit will be fused together. So what he can do is separate the Soul and Devil Fruit connection when he touches them, that is why their abilities are nullified. If a Fruit user is alive the Body and Soul won’t be separated, it works exactly like the Body and Devil Fruit connection. Even if Blackbeard could somehow suck in somebody’s Devil Fruit, he would die. Then, you may ask, how can Blackbeard use at least 2 Devil Fruits?
I’m now going to elaborate on how the Yami Yami no Mi works differently on someone who is alive and someone who is dead.
Now, if the person is dead, for example when Whitebeard died, Blackbeard would be able to suck in both Whitebeard’s Devil Fruit and Soul as they wouldn’t be fused together with the Body. Blackbeard would be able to store Whitebeard’s Soul and Gura Gura no Mi while attatching both to his body! That’s why Blackbeard doesn’t die, and that’s why it’s the most evil Devil Fruit. In this scenario Blackbeard would have 2 Souls for 2 Devil Fruits, but I believe he has 3 Souls!

This is obvious but I’ll say it anyway, Blackbeard is based on the real life pirate Blackbeard. What’s interesting though is that the real life pirate was known as Edward Teach, and also went by the name Thatch. The 2 people Blackbeard has killed are called Thatch, Edward Newgate, and of course Blackbeard himself is known as Marshall D. Teach. They all make up Blackbeard because Blackbeard has control over all 3 Souls!
I’ll end the theory by saying that no matter how many Souls Blackbeard can suck in I don’t think he can have more than 1 Devil Fruit from each class, meaning I believe Blackbeard will add a Zoan to attach to Thatch’s Soul. The Blackbeard Pirates are known to sneak in and take advantage of situations (like cowards!), such as at Impel Down and Marineford. Even Burgess attempted to take Luffy’s Gomu Gomu no Mi when he was exhausted against Doffy. So I believe Blackbeard will kill Monkey D. Dragon and steal his Devil Fruit or will sneak in once Luffy defeats Kaido, kill Kaido and take his Zoan.

        THEORY BEHIND BLACKBEARD’S BODY STRUCTURE

Hello everyone! I’m here today with a theory on Blackbeard’s Body Structure, his DF and so on and so forth. Let’s get started!

        • The first point I would like to start off with is of Blackbeard as a kid, it might be far fetched but here goes. I think Teach might have suffered from a mental disorder, basically split personalities which confused him at a young age since he couldn’t comprehend it and left him depressed as we see above. He might have been born with split personalities or may have retained it through severe trauma as a child. This could also explain why he can wield 2 or more DF’s. His split personality counts as multiple people which acts as a loophole for being able to use more than 1 DF. He may switch to his other personality to use the Gura Gura No Mi, and go back to original mindset when using the Yami Yami No Mi.

        • Another character I’d like to mention is Shinobu Sensui from Yu Yu Hakusho. His mental disorder is later mentioned later on but basically he has 7 split personalities with different abilities. His Red personality in general is the more aggressive one and he forms a machine gun of some sort around his hand when this personality takes over. How does this relate to Blackbeard you might ask? Well what if he uses 2 DF in a way similar to how Sensui gains alternate skills with each personality. Lets say Blackbeard’s main personality wields the Yami Yami No Mi and on the other hand, one of his split personalities is counted as another person in whole and controls the Gura Gura No Mi. In accord to his body structure, this might also explain why he can take hits so well and has different reactions to pain on certain occasions. For example lets say one personality when getting attacked tanks the hit and doesn’t think much of it. While another one of his personalities overreacts when hit and flails around for a slight moment.

        • Now this next point is for the people who are skeptical on my second point of how one personality holds the Yami & the other wields the Gura. Maybe Blackbeard learned how to control his multi personalities in a way similar to Sensui? Sensui could communicate with his other personalities without them taking over at any point in time unless the main personality gave the others his approval. Maybe Blackbeard can switch between personalities at will or keep a certain level of balance/synchronization between the 2 to dual wield both of them at once in certain instances?

        • Another theory is solely based on the Yami Yami No Mi alone and the nature of black holes in general. We know that Black Holes absorb matter, even light particles can’t escape dark matter. What if instead of Blackbeard eating the Gura Gura No Mi after taking it out of Whitebeard’s body, the Yami Yami No Mi absorbed it and was still somehow able to fully use it’s powers but as a trade off he can only use it with his left hand and can no longer use the Yami Yami No Mi in that hand. We know the Yami nullifies the abilities of all DF’s, it would make sense that it can nullify it to a point where it wouldn’t be a threat on the body of the wielder if they have already eaten a DF but can still take control of it’s powers to a certain extent.

I don’t know how Luffy & Zoro were able to detect that, I hope we get a flashback on this when the time comes for more BB in the future.

Then we have BB’s Jolly Roger with 3 skulls on it, in my opinion this foreshadows his multiple personalities along with his plan to get a 3rd DF in the future.

That’s the end of my theory, I hope you enjoyed it since it’s my first!

        *Theory by Ace D. Sosa

MEANING OF THE “D”/IT’S NOT THE DEVIL

We all have been reading so much theories surrounding the letter D in names of important characters in OP. And mostly they say it stands for DEVIL, the ones who oppose Gods or should we say now Royalties. What i think is a bit different. The letter D stand for Death. The reason behind this is that so far we’ve got to know 9 different characters who have letter D the in their names.
          Immagine
You can see in the picture that i uploaded, 4 of 9 characters are already dead. So my theory is that the D or should i say curse brings violent death to them or to people whom they love if they don’t sacrifice themselves instead. Maybe that’s what Roger knew (hearing the poneglyphs) and that is the reason why Gol D. Roger surrendered himself to Marines, because he didn’t want that curse to affect his kid – Portgas D. Ace. Perhaps they are destined to die while protecting others and there is no other way to escape death and that’s why Roger died by the hands of Marines, to protect his son. And the reason why he entrusted Ace to Garp because he Roger knew the secret behind the name and was sure that the Garp was the best choice to protect Ace considering D in his name and what it stands for. Maybe the D has a double meaning – Death and Defending (the ones you love). Garp eventually didn’t sacrifice himself to protect Ace, and Ace died – and we all now how important and loved Ace and Luffy were by Garp, even if he didn’t show it. Perhaps in future Luffy will be in mortal danger and Garp or Dragon will  die to protect him.
Now if we look upon other characters who also died in OP, we can see that they died while protecting others. So Roger and Portgas D. Rogue died protecting their son, Jaguar D. Saul died protecting Nico Robin and finally Ace died while protecting Luffy. Trafalgar D. Law was a kid and couldn’t save the ones he loved. that is the curse considering D or should i say Death of the name bearers.

BLACKBEARD’S LIE, HIS TRUE POWERS AND 1ST FRUIT

            Immagine

I’m here to post my own theory on our newest Emperor, Blackbeard. Now I know there are tons of content and ideas about this guy, ranging from Cerberus to split personality to the ceremonial dagger. So I just wanted to throw my hat into the ring and see how it goes. Warning, this might be a pretty long post. Hang in there with me guys.

So the first thing I wanted to address is how BB is in fact a genius. I think he is the mascot for people who are super smart but act super dumb. The sheer number of things he was able to predict/manipulate is staggering. And I think he would be the the kind of person who would actively lie about his own abilities to get an advantage. (ie Trebol)

The core of the theory then is that Blackbeard’s power does not function the way he tells us it does. He tells us exactly what he needs to for us to hang ourselves in assumptions. What do I mean? Let’s take a look at his powers and our assumption about them.

            1. BB is able to suck in anything into what appears to be an alternate dimension and can push it out of said dimension.
            2. BB does not have normal Logia functions like regeneration or intangibility.
            3. BB suffers more pain than a normal human being, yet can survive some serious damage.
            4. BB can cancel out the effects of other fruits.
            5. We assume that all of these effects belong to the Yami Yami no Mi.

We assume this, because that’s what Blackbeard tells us. But what if he is lying? What if the Yami Yami no Mi is not solely responsible for all these exceptional powers? What if number 3 and 4 is a separate ability all together?

I know this is a pretty bold claim; I’ll admit, it’s pretty far out there. But here’s a few hints that led me to this conclusion.

When BB fought Ace, he said a few interesting remarks. Chief among them are “This power chose me.” and “My body absorbs much more pain than a normal human’s.” and “This power is the most evil.” Now we automatically attributes the extra damage anomaly to the Yami Yami no Mi, but I no longer think it is the case. And why would BB say that this specific fruit chose him? And why is the Yami Yami no Mi so evil? I believe he said all these things because he is hiding the fact that the Yami Yami no Mi is his 2nd fruit, not the first one.

So here’s a little scenario I constructed. I think that BB ate a very useless fruit as a young child like Luffy. I know, I know, we all love the Gumo Gumo no Mi. But comon, stretching like rubber is pretty tame in comparison to some of the overpowered fruits we have come across. But instead of embracing the power as Luffy have, BB’s fruit made him extremely sad and depressed. Which is why he was crying as a kid.

What is this useless fruit? I think that it is similar to Urouge’s fruit. It would have the effect of amplifying pain in exchange for toughness and the ability to cancel out other fruits like a powered up sea stone. As a kid, pain amplification might have been the only effect that BB knew and it overwhelmed BB, which is why he set out to find the Book on Devil Fruits, hoping that it might help his situation.

Instead of a cure, he found information on the Yami Yami no Mi. I think that this book held the true information on what his fruit and the Yami Yami no Mi does, and one of Dark traits is that its power is self-destructive. I think that this fruit is so evil, because it kills its own user with its power. But then there might be a footnote on the page where it states that the Author (assumed to be Vegapunk) theorize that another fruit might be out there which could allow the user to use and control the Yami Yami no Mi. And this here is why BB thinks this power chose him. Because it just so happens that his first fruit can handle the power of absorbing another fruit and the Yami Yami no Mi.

Then with this new information, he came under Whitebeard and begun his search for the Yami Yami no Mi.

So then how does this work? And why does it matter? Well I think it matters for a few different reasons.

Thematically, this would bring BB one step closer to Luffy. Both ate a ‘bad’ fruit early in life, but one rejected it and one embraced it. It could bring out more character development for Luffy by setting up BB as a foil.

Story wise, I think it’d be a pretty killer plot twist. It would explain BB’s pirate flag and set up Vegapunk to be a critical element in bringing down BB. Because Luffy and crew need to know this final trump card up BB’s sleeve to defeat him. It would be essential come up with a plan to deal with his insane endurance.

It would also explain a couple of BB’s tendencies. Ever notice how he is really slow in battle and talk alot, specifically to provoke his opponents? And I think he almost always get hit first. I think he needs to feel pain in order to evoke his first fruit’s power to control his 2nd and 3rd fruit. And in the case where his opponents don’t fight first, he could grind his missing teeth to generate pain to fuel his powers.

So there it is, that’s roughly my idea on how BB’s powers works. I know it’s really out there, but it does connect a few dots for me personally.

            What do you guys think?

What Blackbeard has originally supposed to be

In One Piece green databook it is written that Blackbeard was originally supposed to be so strong that he was even unbeatable by the three admirals.

The truth is, this statement is actually a misinterpretation.
In the original setting for BB’s power, Oda did make him very strong. In his early design, BB was unable to feel hot, cold, pain or even numbness. His only weakness was being unable to swim..

Taking this information into consideration, the editor who wrote the databook just assumed that maybe he could even take out the three admirals with his powers..

Furthermore, Marshall D Teach was originally named as Everything D Teach. There were crewmates such as King Joker, Lape Jesus, Basurero Shot, Van Faggot, Kitsune (it means Fox in Japanese) and Last Lion.

Teach is currently 40 years old. He was 38 before the time skip. Teach was on WB’s ship for 25 years which means he was 13 years old when he first joined WB. Until then, Teach already had his plan in motion. Teach had already made his crew and the original members are Jesus Burgess, Van Auger, Lafitte, Doc Q and Avalo Pizzaro. Yes Avalo. I’ll get to him later. The original BB pirates are HEAVY believers in fate and there is a reason for that. Also, each BB pirate represents something negative or sinister. I’ll explain everything in a timeline scenario to better organize things.

The Ancient Kingdom(who are all Ds) was defeated by the 20 Kingdoms. One of the things that led to the D Kingdom of Ancient’s downfall was the betrayal of the Marshall D family. They feared the D kingdom would lose the war so they stole the ancient weapon Uranus and gave it to the men who would later become the Gorosei. They wanted to remain wealthy but instead of being rewarded for their help, the Marshall D family were killed off to near extinction. One of the killed Marshall Ds was the most evil and its soul forced its way inside the wand of Uranus and when the Gorosei transferred harvested souls into fruits, the Marshall D soul moved on its own and possessed a fruit, becoming the first and most powerful Devil Fruit; The Yami Yami no mi. This action was most secretly witnessed by one or more Marshall Ds, and he(they) memorized the fruit’s pattern and the Yami fruit awaiting the day when the rightful Marshall D. comes to claim it. The Marshall D family passed this information from generation to generation hoping a Marshall D will find the Yami fruit and fulfill their will of taking their world back.

Generations passed on and eventually, fate had an eye out for someone

Kid Teach looks miserable by why? Because he was an outcast. Teach was born with a birth defect called Chimera Disease. He has twins living inside his stomach like a parasite which technically means he has 3 souls. This caused him to have a bloated stomach and toss in his large nose and face, he looks like an ogre. Teach was probably teased by the other kids for looking like a freak. Not only that, Teach had a DF. Mythical Zoan: Model Oni. Oni are fat, has 3 fingered claws, has 3 eyes and their teeth fall out a lot. Fate is cruel. However, it was Teach’s time to learn about the truth of his family. His guardian told him the truth and Teach realized that is curse was actually a blessing. Instead of aimlessly hunting down the Yami fruit like his ancestors, Teach was smart. He thought of a long, clever and calculating plan for becoming the strongest. The first step is building a crew.
                ——-

                “Champion” Jesus Burgess
No Restraint/Self Control, Show Off, Overconfidence

I’m assuming Burgess was Teach’s first recruit since he is currently the 1st Division commander of BB’s fleet. Burgess’ epithet is “Champion”, he is a show off, wears a championship-like belt and is very muscular. No doubt he reminds people of a professional wrestler but I more so think Burgess is more a no holds barred type of fighter. Burgess fought in underground fighting arenas but due to his brutality and tendency to get the crowd involved, he was blacklisted because fighters were too scared to face him and fans were worried about their own safety. Fate is cruel. Burgess loved to shoe off his strength but he an’t do it anymore. However, he meet Marshall D. Teach who was impressed by Burgess’ strength. Teach recruited Teach with the promise of being able to show off and give the world an unforgettable show. Burgess accepted the offer after Teach told him his plans.

Also, his size? His super strength? Him dressing like a Gladiator? Burgess is almost a mirror reflection of Hercules in Greek Mythology. Hercules was a wrrior who killed anyone who disrespected the gods and Burgess was said to “someone who would silence even crying babies.”

                “Supersonic” Van Auger
                No Attachments

The most bland BB member. His origins are completely unknown to for me, his name and attire are giveaways. Van Augur’s name and the way he was introduced point to Roman mythology. An augur was a type of omen reader who read the future by interpreting the flight patterns of birds, much like how Augur was shooting seagulls to see which ones were fated to die painlessly. In both his appearance and abilities, Van Augur bears a number of similarities to the character Adolphus from Terry Gilliam’s film “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen”. Adolphus is one of the eponymous Baron’s henchmen, and has incredible eyesight and amazing shooting skills, able to detach an apple from a tree about nine hundred miles away. Van Augur’s hat, glasses, hair, cape and rifle all contribute to this resemblance. The film is set in 1700s Britain and Auger’s attire is that of a typical French explorer. However, Auger was intrigued by the world despite his position. Fate is cruel. BB meet Auger by chance and gave him an invite by promising him amusement and Auger accepted. “Supersonic” refers to Auger’s incredible foot speed and reaction time.

                Laffitte
                Gullibleness

Lafitte was a policeman in West Blue who was exiled for being too cruel. Question is, was he so cruel because he enjoyed it? Or because he was frustrated? I believe in the latter. From his slim build to his tap dance shoes, its easy to assume that Laffitte was atleast an entertainer and that he enjoyed being able to entertain. However, his abilities were more suited for combat and so the leader of his kingdom forced him to become a police officer instead. Fate is cruel. It was hard for me to figure out what his abilities were until I read a series called Rosario+Vampire. One of the creatures in that series is called a Siren. Sirens are female humanoid like creatures with a large wing span and a hypnotic voice that leads gullible sailors to their doom. Laffitte is a mythical Siren zoan. Its the reason why Laffitee looks feminine. Teach ran into an exiled Laffitte, who developed navigational skills from being on his own, and offered him a place on his ship as an entertainer. Of course, Lafitte couldn’t refuse.

                “God of Death” Doc Q
                Death, Pain, Fear

Probably the funniest and creepiest BB member. Everything about Doc Q screams death. Doc Q’s epithet “God of Death” also means Grim Reaper. The grim reaper’s purpose is to reap souls and spread death. Doc Q looks eerily similar to an undertaker whose job is to cremate dead bodies. Doc Q has the Death Death no mi. Doc Q can control the aspects of death. By touching you, he can infect you with a way of death but each death is ineffective against someone strong so he has to stack it overtime.

In this scan, Doc Q was referring to Luffy not being blown up by his explosive apples(death by explosion). That rope around his neck is a noose which is “death by hanging/suffication.” He can also cause “death by disease.” The reason Doc Q is so sick is because of the side effect of eating the Death Death no mi. He feels all the ways of death the fruit allows and he can’t die from it. His horse Stronger is always sick because Q is always touching him.

Because of the side effects, Doc Q became a doctor so he can ease his own pain but it was ineffective. Or you can say Doc Q was already a doctor(who’s purpose to save lives) and eating the Death Death no mi permanently made him sick and a being who’s purpose is to take lives. Either way, Fate is cruel. Teach was impressed by Q’s strength and medical skills and invited him with the promise of relieving Q of his pain. Like the others, Teach told Q of his plans to unlock the secrets of DFs which would help Q’s condition. With that, Q was able to get used to his condition and joined the BB pirates.

                Avalo Pizarro “The Corrupt King”
                Corruption, Arrogance

Avalo is a special case. Unlike the other original BBs, Avalo Pizzaro probably doesn’t think too much about fate but his strength more than impressed Teach. Avalo Pizzaro has the Drill Drill fruit. He can turn his hands into drills and those gauntlets? They work as generators to increase heat and piercing power. We know Pizzaro was a Impel Down prisoner and that someone dug Level 5.5. Also, Pizarro was never wearing priosn rags. As I said earlier, Pizarro has always been a BB pirate. I’m assuming Pizzaro was literally a king running his kingdom into the ground. Drills are used to stab, skewer and impale and Pizzaro’s epithet is Corrupt King.” Avalo Pizzaro reminds me of the brutal and corrupted Vlad The Impaler. I don’t how exactly BB convinced Pizzaro, but Teach told Pizzaro his plans after defeating him and Pizzaro agreed. Pizzaro took his corruption to the seas but hid his DF ability. He needed to into Impel Down to confim the existence of a Level 6 via dendenmushi.

The BB pirate’s plan was now in motion. They temporarly disbanded and Teach set his sights on joining WB’s ship to increase his chances of finding the Yami Yami no mi. Everything was up to fate. Will it be cruel? Or will be lucky?

Before he could join WB joined though, Teach ran into a man well know very well; Shanks(22). Shanks tired to test Teach to see if he was “The One” but Teach’s turned out to be treacherous and attacked Shanks with his Mythical Oni zona which gave Shanks his scar. Many people think it was because of Teach’s claws, but not only does the claw has 4 blades, blades scars leave thin scars.

                ———
As your know, fate was looking out for Teach yet again. He has done it. Teach has done what his predecessors couldn’t and found the Yami Yami no m

The first and most powerful DF there is and what luck. He runs into the 2nd division commander of the WB pirates when he wants to become a shichibukai and take WB’s powers.

The Yami Yami no mi is the strongest shield. When mastered, Blackbeard can have the footing around him covered in darkness as well as have a cloud of darkness covering his body. Any attack coming at him will get sucked into empty space but there will be gaps in the darkness clouds of course.

The Yami fruit also has a great radius. BB can send a hurtling mass of darkness flying at his enemies.

                ——————

Blackbeard became a shichibukai and set the next step of his plan in motion; breaking into Impel Down and recruiting the strongest people in Level 6. Once again however, Blackbead was in luck. Monkey D. Luffy did all the work for him and out of all the people in the Impel Down arc, Blackbeard was the true winner.

                Shiryu “of the Rain”
                Bloodlust, Curses

Shiryu wields a sword called the cursed Kusenagi which means “Grass Cutter Sword.” Those who wields the Kusenagi blade are cursed to always have it in their position, for getting into a battle without the blade means certain doom. It is unknown why he became a jailer, but its most likely to satisfy his bloodlust. His epithet “Of the Rain” is quite suspicious. We have “Foxfire” Kinemon and Jigoro “Of the Wind” who both are samurais from Wano. Could Shiryu be from Wano? Could these elemental epithets represent villages in Wano?

Catarina Devon “The Crescent Moon Hunter”
                Denial, Judgment, Bewitchment

Her epithet “Cresent Moon Hunter” speaks volumes for Ms. Devon. In Marineford, she said “You’ve all been bad boys *heart*” and attacked WB with a spear. Its like she’s delivering judgment on those she deemed have sinned. The cresent moon(left) represent the maiden turning inot a woman. The cresent moon(right) represent the mother becoming one with death. Is this foreshadowing of Big Mam dying and her DF going to Catarina Devon? Not good enough? Well then, you all should know about Witch Hunts right? In witch folklore, it was believed that witches are at their most powerful during a full moon and at their weakest during a crescent moon.

                “Heavy Drinker” Vasco Shot
                Addiction

This drunken bastard doesn”t look human…like at all. He is a fishman. Those piercings are conveniently placed on his neck where his gills would be. As a fishman, he must know fishman karate but he uses alcohol instead of water and has a Drunken Fist-like style. The drunker he gest, the more powerful Vasco becomes. When the BB pirates were first shown in the NW, all Vasco thought about was booze. He is addicted to the stuff and would kill anyone to get his hands on some more.

San Juan Wolf “The Great Battleship”
                Destruction

The largest creature in the world.

Honestly, I have no idea what Wolf is. I can’t say where he came from without it being 90% speculation. A special Elbaf giant perhaps? Bah. What I do know is that San Juan Wolf represents the Titans in Greek Mythology and the titans were the God’s greatest enemy. Maybe Saul is an extremely rare giant that is born with Titan proportions once every couple generations.

With his newly improved crew, Blackbeard kill Whitebeard…..

…and pulled off the most insane stunt in the history of the world. He has 2 DFs(3) and the 2nd major point of his plan was now complete. With his defect, the soul of the Gura would naturally nest inside the remaining parasitic twin and it did. But do to the Yami fruit being able to claim dominance over any other DF souls, it allowed Teach to use the Gura power.

                ———–
Two years past and the world is now in the dawn of the Worst Generation era with Blackbeard as the forerunner and he is currently on a DF hunt.

Did you guys know that the original 4 Yonkou WB, Shanks, Big Mam and Kaidou are represented by the 4 Holy Beast of Japan?

                Whitebeard-Byakko-White Tiger
                Shanks-Suzaku-Red Phoniex
                Big Mam-Genbu-Black Tortoise
                Kaidou-Seiryu-Blue/Azure Dragon

The 4 Holy Beast govern the east, west, north and south seas and in the center, there is no holy beast. Only darkness, voidness and emptiness. BB has already replaced Byakko and will eventually replace them all. The first of which will be “Hundred Beast” Kaidou.
Once again, Luffy will do all the dirty work for Blackbeard and BB will be the real winner. Big Mam will suffer the same fate. Luffy n’ company will do all the work and BB will claim her DF.

In Dressrosa, while Luffy n’ company dealt with Doflamingo, Jesus Burgess has already stole all the SMILE which makes Blackbeard the real winner of that arc.

Against Shanks however, it won’t be easy but the Blackbeard pirates will emerge victorious with Shanks being killed by Blackbeard himself.
                VS

Before anyone starts talking about SH vs BB match ups, please know that battles are never completely 1v1. Match ups gets switched around and enemies are usually beaten before the final decisive battle. In Alabasta, Mr.3, 5 and below were already beaten before the final battle with Bargoue Worls. In Enies Lobby, Blueno was beaten before the SHs got inside the Judicial Tower.
                ————-
Blackbeard Will Be The Final Villain

All main villains in One Pece are portrayed as Luffy’s opposite but at the same time, a mirror reflection. Teach however is different. He is Luffy’s “foil”. In literary terms. a foil a character that has many similarities with the main character but differs in one critical way. While Luffy gets stronger by surpassing his limits, Teach gest stronger through theft, deception and murder.

Blackbeard as a villans is so human in nature. Most villains in mangas(and One Piece) are these unflinching assholes that do everything right and never seem to struggle, show signs of fear, or be in pain until the moment the protagonist beats him/her. Blackbeard ain’t like that. He gets what he wants through blood, sweat, and sorrow. He isn’t afraid to be afraid and just keeps getting stronger. Out of the entire series, Blackbeard fits the pirate archetype the most. Blackbeard is a true pirate. Both Luffy and Teach have big dreams and are fulfilling the Will of D in their own unigue way/

Remember what I said about BB coming out as the true winner? Well once again, Luffy will do all the work for BB. Luffy will find One Piece and destroy the WG. All BB has to do is kill Luffy and he’ll have everything. The question is, who’s fate will be cruel? Who’s fate will be defied?

Luffy and Teach are at a crossroads. One will fulfill his dream and the other will perish. The fate of the world, the fight for freedom, the Will of D, it will be decided in this final climatic encounter beneath the terrible storm of an eclipse. ‘D’ will forever bring a storm.

                *Theory by Vandenreich

THE DARK STRUGGLE OF SHANKS: THE PROMISE TO THE CAPTAIN

Hello once again everybody and welcome back to another theory for your entertainment. This time I shall be talking about the past of everyone’s favorite ginger, Red Hair Shanks.

However, despite how simple-minded he appears at first, Shanks is a complex person with some rather difficult to understand views; for example, he believes if two people share very different views, it is better they go their separate ways

Here is a simple timeline to help you all get the jest of this topic.

28 Years Ago- Roger is diagnosed with a terminal disease, Crocus joins Roger’s crew, Shanks is 11 years old,

27 Years Ago- The Battle of Edd War, Teach joins WB crew at age 13, Shanks is 12 years old

25 Years Ago- Roger solves the history, the world dubs Roger the Pirate King, The Roger Pirates are disbanded, Shanks is 14 years old

24 Years Ago- Roger turns himself in and is executed, Shanks is 15 years old

13 Years Ago- Shanks makes Fushia Village his base in East Blue, Shanks is 26 years old

12 Years Ago- Shanks loses his arm and gives Luffy his hat, Shanks is 27 years old

2 Years Ago- Shanks stop the War of Marinford and saves the WB pirate alliance, Shanks is 37 years old

The Present- Shanks is currently 39 years old

Gol D. Roger was diagnosed with a incurable disease 28 years ago and this is around the time Shanks joined his crew. One year after Roger went on his last voyage, he was attacked by Shiki’s fleet and we saw a young Shanks with Roger’s hat.

Roger was solving the lost history of the Void Century and he knew he’d never fulfill the promise of his predecessors because of his disease. Surely Roger world pass down his will to a younger generation right? He didn’t know how long he had left after all. In West Blue(where Shanks is from). Roger meet a young Shanks and saw himself in the young lad. Not knowing if he himself will be able to fully discover the history and fulfill an ancient promise, Roger passed his will(straw hat) onto Shanks believing he was “The One.”(borrowing this line from ramenboy). I take the fact that Roger gave his hat to Shanks as a big red( no pun intended) flag that Shanks is a ‘D’.
                  ***********************************

Now this is things get interesting. As I said earlier, Roger gave his hat to Shanks believing that he was the one to solve the history and fulfill the promise, because he himself was going to die soon. As you know, Roger lasted longer than he thought and actually solved the history which means Shanks knows about the Void Century and Raftel’s location. Roger didn’t have enough time to wage war on the WG but shouldn’t Shanks who knows everything and is good at making friends try to fulfill the promise by now? Instead, he made no such attempt and passed the straw hat on to Luffy. Don’t you find that strange?

Simply put, Shanks believes that he has no such right to fulfill his captain’s dream. Why is that you ask? Because of Marshall D. Teach.

We know that Teach gave Shanks that scar on his eye but the question is when he do it? 25 years ago, the Roger pirates disbanded and an entire year later, Roger gave himself up to the marines. It was during that year of absence that Shanks got the scar. At Roger’s execution 24 years ago, we couldn’t see Shanks’ eyes.

Why did Roger disband his crew for a year? To say goodbye.

Roger was willing to tell WB how tog et to Raftel and told him the history. Why? Because obviously trusted him and they were good friends. The Roger and WB pirates probably got along with each other during that year as well.

During this year of absence, Shanks meet Marshall D. Teach(probably didn’t know he was a BB pirate) and they became good friends or even best friends. From what we’ve seen in OP, guys can become best friends in just a month(Norland and Ginger Shandian).

Know how Teach is synonymous with the number 3? 3 skulls on his jolly roger, 3 possible DFs, 3 names of the real life Blackbeard etc..? I think Shanks and Teach were a trio; there was a third person in Shanks and Teach’s group and it was the third person that was killed by Teach.

Roger was someone who would kill a man’s entire crew for insulting his friends and we know how Luffy is. Shanks is just like when it comes to friends.

Marshall D. Teach is very ambitious and has a “join my crew or die” personality. Teach probably asked the 3rd person to become apart of his plans but he refused. Upset. Teach tried to kill the 3rd person but Shanks intervened. However, the 3rd person was killed anyways and it caused Shanks to unlock the Conqueror’s Haki. Shanks tried to avenge the 3rd person but was instead scarred by Teach and he escaped.

Shanks was unable to protect his friend and was betrayed by another. The event had a major effect on the mind of Shanks. How bad was it?

When Shanks was thinking about Luffy’s lost, it seemed like he was speaking from experience.

Shanks is supposed to be “The One” when he couldn’t protect a single friend? Shanks thought he was unworthy for such a task. This caused Roger’s plan to change. The original plan was for Roger to die peacefully and Shanks will inherit Roger’s will and fulfill the promise but because Shanks felt he didn’t deserve such a task, Roger decided to give himself up and start the Great Pirate Age.

Shanks then made a new promise to Roger: He will find “The One” who will inherit Roger’s will and fulfill the promise and Shanks was 27 years old, the promise was kept.

Now lets fast forward to Shanks’ conversation with WB.

Both men were discussing how Blackbeard should be dealt with but it ended with both men exchanging blows. Obviously its because they both felt that dealing with Teach was their sole responsibility but that’s not the only reason.

Both men were trying to fulfill Roger’s will in their own way.

                  WB
-Knew the history of the Void Century
-Wanted to make Ace, Roger’s son, the pirate king
-Believed Teach’s actions was his fault since he lived under his nose for 25 years

                  Shanks
-Knows the history of the Void Century
-Wanted to make Luffy, Ace’s “Brother”, the pirate king
-Believed Teach’s actions was his fault since he failed to stop Teach 20+ years ago
-Shanks knew that if Teach attacked Ace, Luffy would go after BB as well and Shanks didn’t want that.

As you know, WB died but his “sons” were saved by Shanks who now protects the remaining WB pirates.

Shanks DOES NOT want Luffy and BB to fight each other. Shanks strongly believes that dealing with the traitor Teach is his responsibility and the promise to his captain can only be fully realized when Luffy becomes the pirate king. Shanks knows that Luffy chooses his own path and fights his own battles but Marshall D. Teach is the sole person that Shanks will make sure Luffy never encounters.

                  *Theory by Vandenreich

                    Blackbeard Theory

I know this theory has been thrown around and some people believe that BlackBeard has like an ogre like zoan, hydra like zoan, or Chimera like zoan, I have heard about the parasitic twins theory (Which in my opinion is the best theory, even better than this one I am writing about) But I have a huge feeling about Blackbeard being a Cerberus Zoan(hellhound zoan) before he obtain the Yami Yami Devil Fruit.

Here is a short video where I talked about this theory:

So let’s start with why do i think Blackbeard has the Cerberus Zoan type.
Ok let’s take a look at what I call the Legend of 3(totally made that up but it will make sense)

The original Blackbeard’s real name was Edward Teach but in other parts of the world others called him Edward Thatch

                    1

Oda basically grabbed one real life character and turned him into 3 fictional characters.

Edward Newgate (the most badass character in One Piece so far)

                    2

Thatch (He has a badass design!)

                    3

and of course or beloved Marshall D. Teach

                    4

I think its amazing that oda went this route, so basically In One Piece Oda has a theme where the number 3 seems to show up a lot when looking into Blackbeard.
Let’s start with his Jolly Roger (which looks like a Cerberus)

                    5

I believe that Blackbeard had already ate the zoan type Devil fruit, of course I also believe that that zoan is a Cerberus. His Jolly roger is strong evidence that this could be true . But notice how Black Beard’s Jolly roger has 3 skulls right? ok lets move on. I recently notice that Black Beard sports 3 flint locks? hmmm 3….the number 3 shows up again.

                    6

To be honest Blackbeard is such a bad ass character he is just eating pies, drinking beer, carrying flintlocks, having multiple Devil fruits, this guy just screams last villain!
Ok so Blackbeard wears these odd rings in his hands, he wears 4 in inch hand but only 3 of them on each hand have gems on them (maybe he puts the devil fruit powers on the rings so that he is not effected by water) again the number 3 shows up yet again.

7Then we have Red Haired Shanks who was given a scar by Blackbeard Pre darkness Devil Fruit.
How the hell did blackbeard get close enough to give Shanks 3 scars? wait did I say 3 scars? the number 3 shows itself yet again!

8Some of you guys might say “but John Black Beard had a weapon that had claws and that could be the reason why Black Beard gave Shanks a scar” but the thing is that weapon had 4 claws and shanks has only 3 scars.

Now lets take a look at my actual theory, My theory is that Blackbeard has 3 souls. I believe that he absorbed 2 souls specifically White Beard and Thatch (ironically those 2 would make him complete since Oda separated them for this show) There are multiple ways I can see BlackBeard doing this theory about getting the souls. In some legends Cerberus are know to eat or rip out the souls from there victims. I believe thats what Blackbeard did to both Thatch and Whitebeard. Another possibility is that he stores there souls in the rings he carries. Lets say he did take 2 souls that would mean he has 3! what! yes i said 3! But wait theres more!

If Blackbeard has 3 souls that can explain why he has 2 Devil fruits (I believe he has 3 already)
Maybe the reason Blackbeard Darkness fruit does not work as a normal logia does is because he had already the zoan type devil fruit, maybe because of that he cant do the whole not being effected by attacks like the other logias.

Make sure you check out my video on this because i believe i explained it better on my video.
                    What do you guys think?
