WHY THE ‘NATIONAL TREASURE’ ISN’T THE ANCIENT WEAPON URANUS

The Battle of Edd War was 27 years ago.

Roger was executed 24 years ago. Three years difference.

Doflamingo is 41 years old.

41 – 24 = 17

Doflamingo was around 17 when he witnessed Roger’s execution:

Doflamingo was 10 when he gained knowledge of the National Treasure and escaped from Mariejois.

At the time of the Battle of Edd War, he was around 14 (17 – 3).

Shiki claimed that Roger knew the location of the Ancient Weapon, but hadn’t said which one.

Roger doesn’t deny this and “I have no desire to rule, Shiki!” as well as “You can pressure me all you want,” implies that he can access it, because he rejects Shiki’s offer to use it to conquer the world.
http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Edd_War

Shiki was informed that Roger knew the location of one Ancient Weapon.
I believe that this Ancient Weapon was the Uranus.

Let me explain why this Ancient Weapon was the Uranus, instead of the Pluton or the Poseidon, through deduction:

– If Roger knew about the Pluton in Alabasta, then why didn’t Cobra mention Roger in the Tomb of the Kings?
Why did Cobra not have a saddened/noticeable expression when he read that Roger was executed?
Instead, he was more worried about the ‘terrible age’ that would begin.

Sure, Roger could’ve used the “voice of all things” to find and gain passage underneath the Tomb, and then used the same ability to learn the location of the Pluton from the poneglyph inside.

The Tomb Of The Kings

But this is highly unlikely and very far-fetched because he wouldn’t have known the secret entrance to the underground of the Tomb to start with; we also don’t know much about his VOAT ability – how he used it and such.

Robin Examining The Pluton Poneglpyh

  • If he read the blueprints of the ‘Second Pluton’, then he didn’t know the ‘location‘ of the Pluton, but the design of it from the blueprints.
Furthermore, it’s been hinted many times that the Pluton in Alabasta will be found and awakened by a group with bad intentions (WGor Blackbeard?), prompting the use of the ‘Second Pluton’ to counter it.
So Roger did not have a newly-created ‘Second Pluton’, as there was no need to build it at that time, so he couldn’t have known the ‘location‘ of it.

The Pluton’s Blueprint

This is all still debatable as Tom didn’t let just anyone examine it; but then again, Roger had befriended him, with Tom having built the Oro Jackson for him.
http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Gol_D._Roger

Thus it’s fair to say that Roger didn’t know the exact location of either of the Plutons.

– Roger probably knew the general location of the Poseidon from the poneglyph in Shandora, but he possibly knew that he couldn’t find it since it hadn’t been born yet, and thus he didn’t know the exact location of it, therefore I doubt it was this Ancient Weapon.

Roger’s Inscription Besides The Poneglyph

Perhaps when he went to Fishman Island he realised that the Poseidon wasn’t anywhere to be found.

The Oro Jackson Under The Ocean

Remember when Rayleigh said that “perhaps we […] were too impatient“.
It possibly meant that they were too early, one of the reasons being because:

The Battle of Edd War was 27 years ago.
Roger died 24 years ago.
Shirahoshi was born 16 years ago.

It’s impossible for Roger to have found the Poseidon – he was going to die from his disease soon and the Poseidon would be born 11 years later after the Battle of Edd War; he left this job to a pirate with his will (Luffy) who would be around when the Poseidon would.

Princess Shirahoshi: Poseidon

This leaves the Uranus.

People theorise that it’s the mysterious egg on Roger’s ship, which I strongly disagree with, and I’ll post all of the reasons why on another thread next time – there’s an interesting theory I have. It links with a Ghibli film.

The Egg On The Oro Jackson In The Episode

The Egg On The Oro Jackson In The Manga

For a start, Shiki and Roger spoke as if the latter knew the ‘location‘ of it, not as if he actually had it with him – the red-polka-dotted eggwas with Roger on the Oro Jackson, so it can’t be the Uranus.

But then again there were different translations – some say he found it, but most say that he knew the location. So we’ll go with the latter.

The Egg On The Oro Jackson In The Merchandise

People theorise that it’s the National Treasure located within Mariejois, which I also disagree with.
http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Mariejois

Considering that Roger had the location and (implied) access to the Uranus when Doflamingo was around 14, while he was still blackmailing the Celestial Dragons with the National Treasure, how could the Uranus be the National Treasure?

Roger and Shiki spoke as if the former could access it any time – wouldn’t that be difficult if the Uranus was in Mariejois?

Doflamingo informed the readers about the National Treasure at the age of 41, saying that he still used the knowledge of the NT to blackmail the CD, the WG and their affiliates.

Doflamingo’s Trump Card

So 41 – 10 = 31 –> for 31 years Doflamingo had been blackmailing the Celestial Dragons, even while the Battle of Edd War was raging, so the National Treasure is still within Mariejois.

If the National Treasure had to be something, it’d have to be something that they themselves created or stole long ago – what it could be:

  • Something, possibly a weapon, that the 19/20 Kings used to help them defeat the Ancient Kingdom, thus why it’s heralded by Doflamingoas the “national treasure” (implying that the Celestial Dragons do so too and thus take pride in it since it helped them defeat the AK)

Don’t trust me on this though, this is only a wild guess. I’m clueless.[A key to the Uranus? I disagree because there are no keys to activate Poseidon.] [Sure, the description that Doflamingo gives of the National Treasure reminds us of the description of the Ancient Weapons, but that still doesn’t prove anything except that all of these things share being able to ‘shake the public world’ in common.] [Before arguing that “After Roger died, the World Government took control of the Uranus from Roger, and that became the National Treasure.” notice that it’s obvious from this thread that the Celestial Dragons had the National Treasure long before the Battle of Edd War, asDoflamingo was 10 when he gained knowledge of it and the Battle of Edd War was when he was around 14.]

To conclude:

  • Roger had (implied) access to the Ancient Weapon, most likely Uranus, back when Doflamingo was still blackmailing the Celestial Dragons with the knowledge of the National Treasure hidden in Mariejois, and thus this proves that the Uranus and the National Treasure are two different things.
  • I believe that the egg on Roger’s ship wasn’t the Uranus either, as Roger supposedly only knew the location of it – like I said, I’ll expand on this in another thread later.

THE DARK STRUGGLE OF SHANKS: THE PROMISE TO THE CAPTAIN

Hello once again everybody and welcome back to another theory for your entertainment. This time I shall be talking about the past of everyone’s favorite ginger, Red Hair Shanks.

However, despite how simple-minded he appears at first, Shanks is a complex person with some rather difficult to understand views; for example, he believes if two people share very different views, it is better they go their separate ways

Here is a simple timeline to help you all get the jest of this topic.

28 Years Ago- Roger is diagnosed with a terminal disease, Crocus joins Roger’s crew, Shanks is 11 years old,

27 Years Ago- The Battle of Edd War, Teach joins WB crew at age 13, Shanks is 12 years old

25 Years Ago- Roger solves the history, the world dubs Roger the Pirate King, The Roger Pirates are disbanded, Shanks is 14 years old

24 Years Ago- Roger turns himself in and is executed, Shanks is 15 years old

13 Years Ago- Shanks makes Fushia Village his base in East Blue, Shanks is 26 years old

12 Years Ago- Shanks loses his arm and gives Luffy his hat, Shanks is 27 years old

2 Years Ago- Shanks stop the War of Marinford and saves the WB pirate alliance, Shanks is 37 years old

The Present- Shanks is currently 39 years old

Gol D. Roger was diagnosed with a incurable disease 28 years ago and this is around the time Shanks joined his crew. One year after Roger went on his last voyage, he was attacked by Shiki’s fleet and we saw a young Shanks with Roger’s hat.

Roger was solving the lost history of the Void Century and he knew he’d never fulfill the promise of his predecessors because of his disease. Surely Roger world pass down his will to a younger generation right? He didn’t know how long he had left after all. In West Blue(where Shanks is from). Roger meet a young Shanks and saw himself in the young lad. Not knowing if he himself will be able to fully discover the history and fulfill an ancient promise, Roger passed his will(straw hat) onto Shanks believing he was “The One.”(borrowing this line from ramenboy). I take the fact that Roger gave his hat to Shanks as a big red( no pun intended) flag that Shanks is a ‘D’.
    ***********************************

Now this is things get interesting. As I said earlier, Roger gave his hat to Shanks believing that he was the one to solve the history and fulfill the promise, because he himself was going to die soon. As you know, Roger lasted longer than he thought and actually solved the history which means Shanks knows about the Void Century and Raftel’s location. Roger didn’t have enough time to wage war on the WG but shouldn’t Shanks who knows everything and is good at making friends try to fulfill the promise by now? Instead, he made no such attempt and passed the straw hat on to Luffy. Don’t you find that strange?

Simply put, Shanks believes that he has no such right to fulfill his captain’s dream. Why is that you ask? Because of Marshall D. Teach.

We know that Teach gave Shanks that scar on his eye but the question is when he do it? 25 years ago, the Roger pirates disbanded and an entire year later, Roger gave himself up to the marines. It was during that year of absence that Shanks got the scar. At Roger’s execution 24 years ago, we couldn’t see Shanks’ eyes.

Why did Roger disband his crew for a year? To say goodbye.

Roger was willing to tell WB how tog et to Raftel and told him the history. Why? Because obviously trusted him and they were good friends. The Roger and WB pirates probably got along with each other during that year as well.

During this year of absence, Shanks meet Marshall D. Teach(probably didn’t know he was a BB pirate) and they became good friends or even best friends. From what we’ve seen in OP, guys can become best friends in just a month(Norland and Ginger Shandian).

Know how Teach is synonymous with the number 3? 3 skulls on his jolly roger, 3 possible DFs, 3 names of the real life Blackbeard etc..? I think Shanks and Teach were a trio; there was a third person in Shanks and Teach’s group and it was the third person that was killed by Teach.

Roger was someone who would kill a man’s entire crew for insulting his friends and we know how Luffy is. Shanks is just like when it comes to friends.

Marshall D. Teach is very ambitious and has a “join my crew or die” personality. Teach probably asked the 3rd person to become apart of his plans but he refused. Upset. Teach tried to kill the 3rd person but Shanks intervened. However, the 3rd person was killed anyways and it caused Shanks to unlock the Conqueror’s Haki. Shanks tried to avenge the 3rd person but was instead scarred by Teach and he escaped.

Shanks was unable to protect his friend and was betrayed by another. The event had a major effect on the mind of Shanks. How bad was it?

When Shanks was thinking about Luffy’s lost, it seemed like he was speaking from experience.

Shanks is supposed to be “The One” when he couldn’t protect a single friend? Shanks thought he was unworthy for such a task. This caused Roger’s plan to change. The original plan was for Roger to die peacefully and Shanks will inherit Roger’s will and fulfill the promise but because Shanks felt he didn’t deserve such a task, Roger decided to give himself up and start the Great Pirate Age.

Shanks then made a new promise to Roger: He will find “The One” who will inherit Roger’s will and fulfill the promise and Shanks was 27 years old, the promise was kept.

Now lets fast forward to Shanks’ conversation with WB.

Both men were discussing how Blackbeard should be dealt with but it ended with both men exchanging blows. Obviously its because they both felt that dealing with Teach was their sole responsibility but that’s not the only reason.

Both men were trying to fulfill Roger’s will in their own way.

    WB
-Knew the history of the Void Century
-Wanted to make Ace, Roger’s son, the pirate king
-Believed Teach’s actions was his fault since he lived under his nose for 25 years

    Shanks
-Knows the history of the Void Century
-Wanted to make Luffy, Ace’s “Brother”, the pirate king
-Believed Teach’s actions was his fault since he failed to stop Teach 20+ years ago
-Shanks knew that if Teach attacked Ace, Luffy would go after BB as well and Shanks didn’t want that.

As you know, WB died but his “sons” were saved by Shanks who now protects the remaining WB pirates.

Shanks DOES NOT want Luffy and BB to fight each other. Shanks strongly believes that dealing with the traitor Teach is his responsibility and the promise to his captain can only be fully realized when Luffy becomes the pirate king. Shanks knows that Luffy chooses his own path and fights his own battles but Marshall D. Teach is the sole person that Shanks will make sure Luffy never encounters.

MIHAWK’S ORIGINS, PAST AND ABILITIES! THE BLACK BLADE SECRET!! THE FUTURE OF SWORDSMAN!

To be unmatched, means to never find a worthy challenger
To be the strongest, means the weak will cower at your feet
To be the greatest, means to have ants try to take your head
To be the best, means to stand on a lonely pedestal

Hello everybody and welcome back to another theory for your entertainment. This time we shall dive into the origins of the mysterious “Hawk-Eye” Mihawk so lets straight to it. Apologies in advance if this topic seems sloppy or poorly put together as it was very tricky to organize and my CPU was very slow which make me rush through this a little bit. I’m also speculating quite a bit so take some things I say with a grain of salt.

Lets start with Mihawk’s birth. I’m sure plenty of you have heard the theory of Mihawk being the son of Rayleigh and Shakki. Reason many people believe that is because:
-Mihawk is 43 years old and Shakki quit being a pirate over 40 years ago

-Mihawk is based off Dracula and Silver is the only substance that can kill him
-Dracule means “Son of Dracula” and Rayleigh’s epithet is “Dark King.”
        -Both are swordsman
        -Both have/had similar coats

Shakki nonchalantly says Rayleigh “has a good time” with other women as if she doesn’t care. Not to mention that they never refer to each other as “dear, honey etc.” It seems that they like simple friends with benefits *wink wink* However, that could just be their pirate attitudes and lifestyle and Mihawk is Rayleigh’s son after all.

Either way, Rayleigh DID have a an impact on Mihawk’s childhood. Rayleigh was the one who gave Mihawk that coat he wears today and Mihawk and Rayleigh’s sword styles are kind of similar(judging from Rayleigh vs Kizaru and Mihawk vs Vista). Both are “power type” swordsmen who uses two handed blades. Also, Rayleigh sword is slightly curved and looks like a saber.

I later realized that someone else’s style is similar to Rayleigh’s

“Red Hair” Shanks who also wields a saber. Both Shanks and Mihawk were trained by Rayleigh(separately). Shanks is a speed type and Mihawk is a power type. They are opposite in both style and personality. I’ll get more into their rivalry later.
        ——————————-
I think the most prominent feature of Mihawk are his infamous “hawk eyes.”

In fantasy, gold/yellow eyes are used to depict characters of supernatural and/or extraordinary origin. So in the world of One Piece, what kind of origin would be depicted as “extraordinary.” Being the son of Rayleigh isn’t so extraordinary since Ace was the son of the pirate king(but it is obviously a crazy birth and lineage). As a child, Mihawk was taken in by this man…..

        Gorosei Gandhi.

Before anyone stabs me again, look at this:

Mihawk has that same mark on his arm like Doflamingo and Blueno. What does that mark mean? Doflamingo is a tenryubitto and Blueno was a CP9 WG agent. The only way Mihawk can fit in with all this is if that mark represents those with special privileges granted by the Gorosei, despite not being apart of the marines/WG. Doflamingo being a tenryubitto and a pirate and Blueno being away on secret missions that probably has him pose as a criminal. Mihawk is a “tenryubitto” by technicality but is a shichibukai.
        —————————
Lets put all the pieces together in order to make everything clear.

Shakki has been retired for over 40 years and we can assume that she’s been living in Sabody Archipelago for many years. She also said that Garp has chased her before. We know that Saboy is a pirate haven and right next to marine headquarters, so it isn’t too unbelievable that Mihawk may have gained attention of the marines for attacking them and pirates as a child. One way or another, Mihawk was taken in by the marines and brought to the Gorosei, where Gorosei Gandhi took a liking to him and put Mihawk in their swordsman training program(ever wondered by almost every VA is a skilled swordsman?).

Mihawk was an unmatched prodigy. No student could beat and that was because of his “hawk eyes” that could see through anything.

No matter the style, speed or tactic, Mihawk could see through it and counter accordingly. His talent was a double edged sword however, as he craved a good challenged but always took victory quickly and swiftly.

Since Mihawk was in Marijoies, he could visit Shakki whenever he pleased in Sabody. One day however, Mihawk meet Slivers Rayleigh in Sabody after the Roger pirates disbanded. For an entire year before Roger’s execution, Mihawk trained with Rayleigh.

Soon enough, it was time for Roger’s execution and Mihawk was in attendance. He was 19 years old and here is where he first meet Shanks.

Notice anything about Mihawk? For one thing, he has that pocket knife around his neck. Mihawk was so gifted in swordsmanship that he handicapped himself by using that little blade so that his fights would last longer. It is shaped like a cross because he kills his opponents in duels.

Second is that he doesn’t have his black sword(or his sexy hat). Where did he get the sword from? Wano-Kuni. Wano is a country of swordsmen. It is an obvious destination for someone like Mihawk who seeks a challenge. Mihawk arrived in Wano and he was once again unmatched. However, Mihawk was impressed by the samurai’s willpower and conviction and the samurais felt the same. Mihawk became an honored guest and the blacksmiths of Wano had a special sword for Mihawk: the black blade Yoru.

Trivia: Yoru literally means “Black Blade Violent Star.” It also means night, to visit, to come from and to depend on.

I’ve made also a theory explaining how cursed swords work and another one about divine/blessed swords.

This got me thinking about Mihawk. Is his sword cursed or blessed?

        I think its both.

We know Mihawk’s Yoru is shaped like a cross which is a holy symbol/relic but it is a black blade which symbolizes something demonic or impure. Mihawk doesn’t have ties with angels or demons. In a way, Mihawk is a fallen angel or an arch demon which roams the human realm.

Mihawk lives in an abandoned, moody castle surrounded by death. It is a pretty unholy environment but it is balanced out with a cross for safe passage and rest for the dead.

There are baboons roaming the area who attacks any trespassers. In Japan, monkey statues are used to ward off evil spirits and demons(Zoro).

Once again, Mihawk doesn’t take a clear stance on good or evil. In the link above, I said that all cursed/blessed swords has a soul trapped inside. A good spirit makes a divine weapon and a bad spirit makes a cursed weapon.

The soul of Mihawk’s Yoru is a neutral spirit.

Unlike Zoro’s Sandai Kitetsu which gradually makes its wielder more bloodthirsty, the Yoru makes its wielder crave a certain desire and for Mihawk, it was a good challenge. However, Mihawk quickly claimed dominance over his blade when his desire was realized when he meet Shanks.

Lastly, Dracule is inspired by the vampire Dracula who was inspired by real life tyrant Vlad the Impaler, who was a holy knight. Mihawk is a holy knight purging angels and demons while seeking for a worthy challenger/successor.

With his new sword, Mihawk of course wanted to test it. Since he wasn’t too familiar with the New World, he went on a dojo hunt(or elephant hunt) for strong swordsman in the Grand Line. Mihawk kept searching for elephants to fight but all he got were ants.

When he finally meet an elephant, his convinction and dedication to the way of the swordsman was pathetic. Eventually, Mihawk once again ran into Shanks. Of course, the goofy Shanks asked Mihawk to join his crew and Mihawk agreed on one condition: Shanks must first defeat him in a duel. It was the start of the infamous rivalry that shook the Grand Line. As years went by, Mihawk became the Worlds Strongest Swordsman and ants constantly came after his head. It didn’t bother him though as he had an elephant in Red Hair Shanks, who’s duels with him has constantly ended in draws. The duels didn’t last too long however, as Mihawk was devastated to learn that Shanks had lost his arm.

Mihawk is very proud and there is no honor in fighting a handicapped person. Mihawk lost interest in fighting Shanks and was in quite a dilemma as he no longer had a strong swordsman to fight.

His days were consumed with random ants challenging him and the lack of real swordsmen made him weary. Mihawk accepted to WG’s shichibukai invitation in order to increase his chances of locating elephants or potential elephants and keep track of them.

To be the best, means to stand on a lonely pedestal

Mihawk travels around in a coffin because it symbolizes his desire to be defeated in battle; his desire to be put to rest by one of great conviction; his desire to be killed by a real swordsman(remember that duels typically ends in death). Mihawk is in a way, trying to dig his own grave. Even though Mihawk wants to be bested, he has a lot of pride and he truly loves and cares about swordsmanship and won’t give the title of WSS to any random insect that challenges him. The utter lack of quality swordsman once again, makes him weary.

Mihawk’s weariness is made clear in his first fight with Zoro

But as you know, Mihawk was very impressed by Zoro’s conviction. For the first time, at least in a long while, Mihawk has encountered a real swordsman. Zoro is the last great swordsman of his generation and will be the last one standing and laughing when he becomes the WSS.

        ————————————————–
As you know, Zoro begged Mihawk for training and Mihawk agreed. What intrigues me the most are the results of Zoro training. For starters, it seems like Zoro learned a lot more than sword techniques.

Also, have any of you noticed that the black blade Shuusui has become Zoro’s favorite blade for one-sword style attacks?

And lets not forget Mihawk’s teachings about black CoA blades

With all this emphasis on black blades, I decided to do some research and discovered that Zoro’s Shuusui and Mihawk’s Yoru may also be based on the popular black blades stormbringer and mournblade respectively.

The strombringer and mournblade are chaotic blades made by demons and are “brother” swords. Zoro’s sword being based of stormbringer is symbolic as he is traveling with Luffy and ‘D’ will forever bring forth a storm and he stormbringer is known to fill the weilders head with bloodlust. Mihawk’s blade is shaped like a cross which is like he is mourning the souls of the dead.

THE CURSED SWORDS OF ONE PIECE; THE SECRETS AND EXPLANATION

Hello once again everyone and welcome back to yet another theory for your entertainment. I’ve made a few theories that mentioned cursed words and I’ve had quite the number of people tell me that they don’t fully understand how cursed swords work. In this theory, I shall be discussing the secret of the cursed swords in its entirety. Since I don’t like pointless small talk, I’ll get straight to the point.

In Dressrosa, we’ve learned that all real DFs contained souls.

In Enies Lobby, we learned that objects can “eat” devil fruits. Spandam’s Funkfreed is a sword that has an elephant zoan.

With this, I can safely say that all cursed swords has a soul trapped inside of it. An entity or spirit of sorts that was once human. Souls to DF, DFs to objects, objects to souls.

These entities are either good or bad. Swords with good spirits are divine blades.

Swords with bad spirits are called cursed blades and all cursed swords bring misfortune and the type of misfortune varies from sword to sword.

There is an old saying that swords chooses its owner.

When it comes to cursed swords, they literally choose their owner.

I will be discussing these 3 cursed swords in particular:

Durandal wielded by “Pirate Prince” Cavendish

Kikoku wielded by “Surgeon of Death” Trafalgar Law

Snadai Kitetsu wielded by “Pirate Hunter” Roronoa Zoro

          **********************************

Durandal means “To endure.” Cavendish’s will and mind must endure the spirit of Durandal Hakuba or else he’ll lose himself and become a genocidal psycho.

Hakuba’s cursed entity is about control.

Cavendish constantly has a tug-o-war against Hakuba for control of his mind and body.

Obviously when Cavendish falls asleep, Hakuba takes over but he has shown the ability to take over Cavendish at anytime.

It wasn’t until recently that Hakuba accepted Cavendish to a degree and agreed to only take over his body every once in a while.
          **********************************

Law’s sword means “Demon’s Cry/Wail.” It also means “return to one’ homeland.” What’s makes one cry or wail? What might one feel being away from their homeland? Pain.

Kikoku’s cursed entity is about pain.

Law was the one who got the hurt the most in Punk Hazard and Dressrosa. Ironic since he is a cunning and cautious doctor and doctors are supposed to ease pain.

Know what else is associated with pain? Death. Law’s life even before getting the blade was filled with nothing but pain and death. It was very easy for the Kikoku spirit to accept Law and its the reason Law has those death tattoos on his fingers.

The blade will also affect Law’s spirit. Being a ‘D’, Law will undoubtedly unlock CoC and the Kikoku will make Law’s spirit very dark and sinister, muck like the “Dark King” Rayleigh.
          *************************

The one everyone was waiting for probably.

The most popular belief is that the Sandai Kitetsu curse is Asura.

That is not the case. Asura and the Sandai Kitetsu are different. Zoro always had an asura demon spirit.

Lets look at what an Asura spirit is.

While all the gods of the Kāmadhātu are subject to the passions to some degree, the Asuras above all of them have become addicted to them, especially wrath, pride, envy, insincerity, falseness, boasting, and bellicosity.Because of their passions, rebirth as an Asura is considered to be one of the four unhappy births (together with rebirth as an animal, a preta, or a being in Naraka). The state of an Asura reflects the mental state of a human being obsessed with ego, force and violence, always looking for an excuse to get into a fight, angry with everyone and unable to maintain calm or solve problems peacefully.Beings may go to the Asura realm because in human form they had good intentions, but committed bad actions such as harming others. Some asuric deities commonly used curved swords and control flames.

Sounds eerily similar to Zoro right? Zoro stands above normal humans but is currently below a god(Mihawk). A pretty normal human who caused harm to lots of people and was pretty “reborn” as an Asura. Even as a child, Zoro was eerily similar to an Asura.

Asura is Zoro’s spirit manifesting itself in physical form. His untapped CoC in physical to be exact.

Even though Zoro is an asura demon, he always kept his humanity. Ever since Zoro got the Sandai Kitetsu, Zoro began to slowly lose it and got more n’ more demonic as time went on.

In Skypia, Zoro was attacked by a random monk with a spear. Zoro took him out by smashing the monk’s face with his sword hilt.

Fast forward to Sabody, Zoro was attacked by a random Tenryubitto(he had no idea who the CD was). Instead of trying to knock him out, Zoro tried to mercilessly kill the guy. Just look at Zoro’s face.

Zoro let off so much killing intent that even Apoo, who isn’t a swordsman, felt it.

A drastic change in actions no?

Back in Enies Lobby, Zoro’s spirit could be felt by Kaku

Everyone is calling Zoro’s spirit beast-like. Why is that? It isn’t because of his asura spirit(mostly at least).

It because of the Sandai Kitetsu.

Sandai Kitetsu means “Third generation demon cutter.” It is the weakest of the 3 demon cutters.

The curse of Sandai Kitetsu(all kitetsus) is that all of its owners die.

In the scan above, you can see that the previous owners died from calling off cliffs, being eaten alive, burning alive etc.. Despite all those tragedies, the Sandai Kitetsu remains intact.

The Sandai Kitetsu took over its wielders to made them kill themselves, as the blade did not accept them as its owner.

The Sandai Kitetsu never tried to get Zoro to kill himself because not only does Zoro have a very strong spirit, the Sandai Kitetsu accepted Zoro as its owner.

With just one look, Zoro automatically knew that the Sandai was a cursed sword and he even said that he liked it.

The main reason the Sandai accepted Zoro is because Zoro and the Sandai spirit are similar but lets back track a little bit. Remember when I said that Zoro has his humanity despite being an Asura demon? Remember when I said how Zoro is getting more merciless as time goes on?

The Curse of the Sandai Kitetsu spirit is bloodlust and it is leading Zoro down the “Path of the Demon.”

The “Path of the Demon” is a path where a person sacrifices his humanity and lives for nothing but combat, blood and chaos. He literally becomes a beast going down this path. That’s why people can sense Zoro’s bloodlusted spirit and calls him a beast.

Zoro thought he overcame the curse but it was pure luck that his arm didn’t get cut off.

Zoro will find out about the curse in Wano and will go through its villages to learn how to dominate it. Zoro may succeed, but he may lose control of his demon spirit when he gets his hands on the Nidai Kitetsu.

Look at the pattern on Sandai.

          Look familiar?

I believe one of Kaidou’s men or the 7th Shichibukaihas the Nidai Kitetsu and Zoro will take it. The Nidai is also cursed and is more bloodthirsty than the Sandai so Zoro’s spirit will struggle.

STRAW HAT PARALLELS TO THE OLD GENERATION

In this theory I’m going to compare the SH to some people in the old generation but are still active. Once these certain people die/quit/etc I believe the Straw Hat I describe will take something similar to their role. This will be very weird, trust me

            1

Monkey D Luffy is the new Roger, old Pirate king

I think this because, well, you know of course. Luffy carries on Rogers will, and becomes the new Pirate King. No trouble there..

            2

Roronoa Zoro is the new ..Dracule Mihawk Silvers Rayleigh

Mihawk because of the World’s greatest swordsman. Rayleigh cause he’ll be the pirate kings right hand man. Many think he’ll awaken CoC Haki once he opens his left eye. I think that could be a possibility. Most likely after beating Mihawk or Shiliew, he’ll become the WGS.

            3

Sanji could be the new .. Red Leg Zeff Monkey D. Dragon

Yes, you saw it correctly. Monkey D Dragon. Now, put down your pitchforks. Remember this scene:

            4

Now I believe Oda put that for a reason. This could be major foreshadowing for around the end of the series. And Dragon is currently the most feared man, so Sanji taking his place is like being the new Dragon. Plus, many theories of Sanji being a Noble or a Celestial Dragon could affect the outcome of his future. Red Leg Zeff was put because, well, both cooks, same fighting style, the basic stuff. But I don’t think Sanji will have that revolutionary army and stuff like that. I think he’ll be feared for something.. Maybe his heritage?

            5

Franky, Cutty Flam as the new Dr. Vegapunk

It was between Vegapunk or, Ceaser Clown. But CC is too much of a jerk and not at all like Franky. And Dr. Vegapunk is a similar scientist type engineer like Franky. This could be possible. But we don’t know much about Vegapunk and there could be some other people from Roger’s crew that could fit in. And Franky being the new Vegapunk would actually be really awesome.

            6

Nico Robin as the new Dr. Clover

I chose this and not her mom because we don’t know much about Olivia, and I didn’t choose Kuma cause they’re nothing alike. Clover was the major archaelogist in Ohara, and Robin could carry on his will and surpass him, aiding the future Pirate King. A great fit.

            7

            Brook as the new ..Brook

Brook was already from the elder times, and is not really similar to anyone else. Brook will be his own man and continue on with his own goals. GO BROOK!

            8

Usopp as the new Shanks Noland Yasopp or Buggy

Montblanc Usopp? Seems Plausible. Usopp is very similar to Noland, and his lies are all becoming true. He could actually be the Usoland. Shanks was just a cabin boy, but became a very strong person. Usopp could awaken CoC and become like Shanks. The usopp pirates and Usopp leaving them is similar to Shanks leaving Luffy and giving him his straw hat. Usopp and Yasopp are both excellent snipers; though Usopp will get stronger and surpass him. Buggy and Usopp both have great luck and have very similar personalities. Both make themselves seem super powerful, but actually aren’t as powerful as they boast. Lol.

            10

Tony Tony Chopper as the new Dr Hiluluk

Chopper will carry his will of becoming an amazing doctor, who can cure any disease.

            9

Nami as the new Boa Hancock

Both are pretty tough females and very pretty, and they do show off their body most of the time. Both have a deep love for something (Money, Luffy) and both are overall very similar. I don’t think Nami has CoC and will be a Warlord as well as an ex-slave, but might have a similar role at the EOS as Hancock does. Nami could become the most tough navigator and female in One Piece. I can see Nami becoming a queen-type person. Oh and if Nami becomes the head of Amazon Lily at sometime that’ll be hilarious.

            Bonus
            Law = Whitebeard
            Kid = Shiki
            Thousand Sunny = Oro Jackson
Coby and Smoker are hard ones, but I think Smoker will join the SH.

            *Theory by Red Beard

              Rayleigh’s disciple

              *Theory by Oz

              I have a theory regarding Mihawk being Rayleigh’s disciple.13RayleighMihawk-1

Both being very good swordsmen (one of them even the best in the world) is kind of a hint for me. And it would explain two still unknown things:
              1. How the friendship between Shanks and Mihawk developed (Shanks, too, being a swordsman) maybe they were both his disciples at the same time.
              2. Zoro’s scar on his eye. We know that Zoro’s and Rayleigh’s scar might have the same reason, which would be the training of observation haki. And after the War of the Best at Marineford, Zoro became Mihawk’s disciple. Mihawk knew of that technique to train the haki of observation because he saw it from Rayleigh. Mihawk having the hawkeyes did not have to train his observation haki but he showed that technique to Zoro.
It’s just a theory though, I don’t have any kind of proof. But I would like to read your comments about it. ^ ^

(you can send your argumented theory about  everything related to OnePiece via email at [email protected])

                ZORO’S SCAR & RAYLEIGH’S SCAR

(you can send your argumented theory about  everything related to OnePiece via email at [email protected])

We would assume they both have a similar scar because they are swordsmen and therefore a situation where you eye is likely to get slashed is presented to them more frequently.

It might be that they ‘voluntarily’ have a scar on their eye as a way to purposely hinder themselves in order to train better (as stated by Celestial D. Dragon in many theories that zoro is training his CoO & hence his left eye is closed)

Also it is most likely just another sort of parallel between Luffy and Roger’s crews. Either that or Oda thought they would look cool as fuck with scars on their eyes.

But now look at this below pic of Rayleigh.

                a96e0658666a1f0e72e9d913cb003f36

Rayleigh unleashes Conqueror’s haki from eye with scar.

Could it be another parallel thing between Rayleigh & Zoro. That they are both prominent CoC user & their eye with scar is dominant in using CoC.

                17d22c32afdd2394ea042c70731addb2

It is almost certain that Zoro might awaken Conqueror’s haki in future. So I’m guessing like Rayleigh ,will eye with scar of Zoro play imp role in CoC.

                Or

Oda just showed Rayleigh using scarred eye for CoC, to make it look badass .

Please note eyes play important role in Conqueror’s haki. Almost all character have been unleashing CoC from eyes. Kings use expression of dominance dictated through their eyes to rule over weak willed.

                What do you think about?
