FUTURE ABILITY OF OBSERVATION

Hey people, so lately I’ve seen so many people underestimate Observation type of haki (me included tbh), and that armament haki is a better type for fighters. And that all what observation can do during the fight is predicting a move and dodging and it cannot affect the opponent that way. In other words, bring a match of two people, one has the better armament, and weaker observation, while the other has better observation and weaker armament. Most people will go and say the guy with better armament will win cause there is no point in dodging if you cannot hit and hurt the guy with better armament.

However, from how we see Oda, he always tries to redeem things. We’ve seen how people belittle DFs after Haki introduction, but after awakening, DF got back as a dangerous factor as we can see.

That lead me to believe that Oda will somehow manage to give a huuge feature and dangerous aspect to observation in combat other than just being able to dodge attacks and balance the two types of haki, observation and armament as being two equal types in combat.

So far, observation has showed only one main use in combat which is defensive way by dodging. On the other hand, Armament haki showed two ways, defensive by blocking and offensive by using it to hit logia and even inflect more damage than a normal hit.

That lead me to believe that Oda still didn’t show the offensive use of observation haki. Some people might wonder, but how can it be offensive??? here starts my theory, and why people like Sanji and Ivankov are even stronger by specializing in observation not armament.

First of all, let’s look at this page:

When Sanji inside Nami’s body was using observation haki to find Kinemon’s body. He basically said that the “Life Force” of Kinemon’s body is growing too weak. Which is why he barely was able to find it since it was being eaten by a shark lmao.

So, what is the use of that? what does that tell us????

Sanji with observation is able to sense the life force of things. Which is imo how people are able to determine someone’s strength by observation haki as rayleigh said as one of the features of observation haki. But how can sensing the “Life Force” help during the fight???????

We know that Sanji is a Martial Artist who inherited his style from Old man Zeff. We also know that Ivankov is a master of Okama Martial Arts, right????

Have you ever heard about “Pressure Points” in Martial Arts??????????

Pressure Points are vulnerable spots in the body that when you apply pressure on them, you can either, inflect huuuge damage, paralyze or even kill with it and real life martial artists always uses them as their basis in their fights.

In other words, I think Observation Haki can be used in the offensive way by knowing where is a weak and vulnerable point in the enemy body since with observation you can sense the life force.
And with that, we can clearly see that It is much better for Sanji who is a martial artist to be specialized in observation since he doesn’t depend on brute force like Zoro.

Let me guys know your thoughts about this feature of observation being used to sense the weak, vulnerable spot in the enemies body where you attack it, even if your armament is weaker than the enemy, the enemy will be inflected with a huuge damage and be defeated.

D: Oda-sensei–!! Buggy would be able to get past the “Bird Cage”, wouldn’t he!!!         P.N. Mr. DoMyChores

      O: You’re right, he would–.

Even if you put him in the bird cage with his crewmates, he’d still escape by himself!
