The Poneglyphs are mysterious cubic stones made of an unknown material and indestructible, left by a civilization of the century empty, civilization vanished. On these stones there are inscriptions written in a very old language that tell the history Unspeakable. In addition to the history of the Hundred years of emptiness, the Poneglyphs include information from at least two weapons of mass destruction: Pluton and Poseidon. There are two different types of Poneglyphs: those who report information on weapons or on the story untold, and those leading to other Poneglyphs. Deciphering and search Poneglyphs means breaking the law of the World Government, and therefore end up in prison or even executed. Nevertheless, the ultimate goal of Nico Robin is deciphering the Real Poneglyphs. Nico Robin is also the only person in the world who can read the ancient language of Poneglyphs, but in the past all the scholars of Ohara island they were able. Gol D. Roger had also previously found this Poneglyphs and left a message, written in ancient language, to encourage anyone who was able to decipher the Poneglyphs to continue the search for the “real story”. The tribe Shandia had the task of protecting these two Poneglyphs.
Located on the island of Ohara, this Poneglyphs contains information about the great void and the name of the ancient lost civilization (name unknown). The World Government considered the archaeologists who were studying dangerous, so he ordered the Buster Call to destroy the island. Robin was the only survivor.
