Now if you guys didn’t know this, I love Buggy, why? Well many people say he is weak, a coward, a liar, and a greedy scumbag; however this is the exact reason I love him. I believe that Buggy has the greatest potential for character development in this series. Let me explain, here are a majority of the negative qualities for buggy

• weak
• coward
• liar
• greedy

However this is the exact reason why i believe Buggy has the greatest potential for character development. I mean we were all(or still are) weak, cowards, liars, and greedy at one point or another; however eventually we began to strive to be something better for our own self( well unless you are just stupid that is) This is why i believe Buggy has the greatest potential, because he has so much room to grow. But aren’t a lot of characters like this? What makes Buggy special? Well it’s like this

• Out of every other weakling/scumbag character we have seen so far, Buggy is the most important. Buggy is a Roger pirate, a “brother” of Shanks, a Shichibukai, and has gotten more screen time than any other villain from the east blue

The fact that Buggy has made it so far is imo proof that Oda has something special about him.

BUGGY’S CURRENT DESTINY

Well this is basically what i believe will happen to Buggy if he doesn’t go through major character development throughout the series. If Buggy doesn’t have any development I believe he will end a lot like this man

This is captain John, yes the same John who’s treasure is in the dreams of Buggy. How did captain John end his life? Well because he was greedy and decided to keep his treasure to himself rather than share it, John was murdered by his fellow cremates. I believe that this will be the fate of Buggy if he doesn’t gain major development. Eventually Buggy’s crew will learn of his true nature, they will learn that he is no hero or legend and is just a greedy scumbag who has been manipulating them the whole time just to get to captain John’s treasure, what will happen then? His crew will turn on him and eventually kill their own captain. This will be the fate of Buggy the Clown, however i do not believe this will happen.

But I don’t think Oda would keep Buggy around for all these chapters just to be a joke character who dies by the hands of his own crew. Rather i believe throughout the series buggy will gain major development, with his final character being more like these men

Buggy was on the crew of both Roger and Shanks; in addition he was a direct pupil of Rayleigh and Roger. Now even though he has absolutely no qualities of a Roger Pirate what so ever, it does not mean that what he learned on the Oro Jackson had no impact on him. I believe that somewhere along the line, Buggy will realize what he is doing is wrong and seek a way to self improve himself for the better; the end result of this would be Buggy developing a character similar to Roger and Shanks

So this is basically how i believe Buggy will develop throughout the story

DEVELOPMENT DURING THE TIMESKIP
During the timeskip i believe a few changes happened

• Buggy realized he had to become stronger to go to the new world, be a Shichibukai, and find captain John’s treasure. Because of this he trained himself to unlock haki by using methods that Rayleigh and Roger used to train him in; because of this he learned both CoA and CoO. He also advanced his DF a little bit; this by no means makes him strong, as even people like Bellamy have haki.
• Buggy’s personality has gotten worse, as he has actually become accustom to lying and manipulating his crew
• however he did begin to try to achieve his dream, as I speculate that the pirate dispatch organization is an organization that sends deep sea missions in an attempt to find captain John’s treasure

Mid series development-

• During random parts of the series I think we will a little bit of development from Buggy. This will happen mainly when Buggy notices how loyal his subordinates are to him, he will have slight realizations that he should care more about his nakama. But i doubt we will see a big change in Buggy until the second timeskip

The second Timeskip
I, like a lot of people, believe that their will be a second timeskip. I think this timeskip will happen a bit after reverie; but what will cause this timeskip? Well if you didn’t know every timeskip in anime and manga are often caused by a certain event(example: Ace’s death caused the first timeskip). So what will cause this timeskip; well i believe it will be the death of one of Luffy’s biggest mentors, and no it’s not Shanks. I believe that the second timeskip will be caused by the death of Silvers Rayleigh.

I always thought rayleigh has a death flag on him, mainly for two reasons

• he’s part of Roger’s era, and with Roger and Whitebeard being dead, it makes sense that Rayleigh could also die
• In the scan above, Rayleigh says that meeting Luffy makes him want to live a little longer. I believe that this could possibly be foreshadowing the death of Rayleigh; i think Rayleigh could have possibly contracted the same disease that Whitebeard and Roger have, he said he wanted to live longer because he knew he was going to die soon

Anyways, this death will affect Luffy the most; however i believe it would affect Buggy as well. This is likely as Rayleigh trained Buggy when he was with the Roger pirates, since Buggy was with Rayleigh for a long time; i believe that Buggy’s relationship with Rayleigh was like that of a father and a son. That being said, the death of Rayleigh would be a huge shock to Buggy. I believe that Rayliegh would possibly die by the hands of Blackbeard, but before Rayliegh dies i believe that Blackbeard would have had a fight with Buggy first. Why would Blackbeard fight Buggy? Well as you know Blackbeard wants to be pirate king, this most likely means that Blackbeard is aiming for the One Piece. But how would Blackbeard reach Raftel? He’s obviously not going to gain the same ability that Luffy and Roger have(hearing the “voice”), so how will he do it? Well Blackbeard sailed with Whitebeard for a long time, so it’s likely that Blackbeard knows Buggy and Shanks; since Buggy and Shanks were on the Roger crew, and Whitebeard often fought with Roger. So anyways their are only a handful of people who know the location of Raftel, those being the Roger pirates; so for Blackbeard to find the location of One Piece and Raftel, he would need to inquire the information from a Roger pirate. However as we can tell from Rayleigh and Shanks, the roger pirates have extremely strong wills so it is likely that Shanks or Rayleigh would probably die before revealing the location of Raftel. Buggy on the other hand, has an extremely weak will, Blackbeard could use this to his advantage by beating the living shit out of Buggy until he tells him about the location of Raftel. I believe that this is how Blackbeard will reach Raftel, by forcing the information out of Buggy by torturing him; when this is done i believe that Blackbeard would probably try to kill Buggy, however i think Buggy would be saved by Rayliegh.

From what we know about the Roger pirates, if you hurt their nakama; your basically F**ked. So i doubt rayleigh would allow Blackbeard to kill Buggy, as well as find one piece(since it’s Roger’s treasure, i don’t think Rayleigh would allow a scum like Blackbeard to obtain it; furthermore the one piece is very important so i doubt Rayleigh would let it get in the wrong hands). This would ultimately cause a battle between Rayleigh and Blackbeard; however due to Rayleigh’s sickness and age, i believe Rayleigh would lose. Now don’t get me wrong, Luffy will play a big part in this whole affair; however for the time being, i will just skip all that info, since this is a thread about Buggy. Anyways so here are the affects of Blackbeard killing rayleigh

• Luffy would train with dragon, since he knows he’s not strong to face a Yonko in a 1v1(i believe Luffy will lose a battle to Blackbeard) Luffy’s crew would also train with the revolutionaries. Zoro would train with Kuina and Sanji would train with Sabo
• Blackbeard, being the cocky bastard he is; will announce that he stole info about the one piece from Buggy, and is now preparing for the journey to Raftel
• Shanks will begin to make allies with other pirates to prevent Blackbeard from getting one piece; those pirates would imo include: X-Drake, Law, Bonney, Mihawk, Luffy, Buggy
• Blackbeard would make his own allies to counter Shank’s alliance; those pirates would include: Kid, Capone Bege, Urouge, Hawkins, Apu

Anyways now back to Buggy(sorry for the little mini theory about the 2nd timeskip). Buggy would feel like utter shit; He lost to blackbeard and because he lost, he lost rayleigh, the man who was practically a father to him. Furthermore Buggy gave away his captain’s biggest secret to the exact killer of Rayleigh. I believe this would lead Buggy to become way stronger and also change his personality to be more like Rayleigh and Roger(however i still think he would be greedy and cowarding, just not as greedy and cowarding as he used to be). I believe that during the second timeskip, Buggy will train with one of his fellow crewmates from his days as a Roger pirate; i think Buggy would train with scopper gaban. While this happens, i think Buggy would leave his crew and make Alvida the temporary captain.

Even though buggy made a big change during the second skip, i don’t think he would be perfect until his final battle

The final Battle of Buggy the clown

Well i believe that like Luffy, Buggy would also have a final battle. Now i don’t know who he would fight, but here is how i think the fight would go down

• Buggy would fight someone who is truly vicious, possibly one of the lower members on the Blackbeard crew
• for the purpose of plot, captain John’s treasure would be something that only appears every 100 years for only 5 minutes(or something to that sort)
• when Buggy encounters the person who he will fight, Buggy would realize that his opponent is way out of his league; so rather than fight him 1v1, Buggy would run towards captain John’s treasure and let his nakama fight Buggy’s opponent, this fight would basically be something like this

  Buggy begins the fight by letting his cowarding and greedy nature take a hold of him, leaving his friends to die while he goes off to take captain John’s treasure(which for story purposes is only available for a limited amount of time); however, Buggy will hear how much his friends have faith in him, run back to fight his opponent; make a speech similar to this

  and beat his opponent in a really stupid way, similar to this

• i also think their is a possibility of Buggy awakening CoC in his final fight, however i am doubting it as after all Buggy is a joke character

AFTER THE MAIN STORY(at least 10 years after Luffy finds one piece)
After the main story ends, i believe Buggy will be about Yonko level; he will be the Whitebeard of his time, inspiring the younger generation like his fellow pirate Shanks once did
