LAFITTE , THE MAN WITH THE MAGIC FLUTE AND THE STEALTHY DF!

In this theory I will try to explain everything considering Laffite’s feats and express my opinion on his possible fighting style.

So Lafitte has shown plenty of impressive feats that gave me a variety of information in order to make this theory. First of all , I will start with his past (not any connection with the theory) for those who do not know it.It is said that he was a policeman long ago , but due to his extremely brutal methods he was fired. That’s why he is nicknamed “Demon Sheriff”.

I do believe Lafitte’s character and feats are based on the widely known fairy tale “Pied Piper of Hamelin”, that is about a guy who was hired by the citizens of a town to hypnotize and send the mice away. However the villagers didn’t pay him for his services and the guy hypnotizes their children and made them follow him out of the town.
Just like the guy with the flute in the picture , Lafitte masters in hypnotizing people as it was mentioned that he hypnotized the Impel Down guards to open the Gates of Justice. But how is Lafitte able to hypnotize? I really think that the answer lies in his weapon and most specifically his cane.
I think that it opens just like Brook’s but instead of becoming a sword it turns into a Flute – similiar to that of the fairy tale enabling him to hypnotize people. I also believe that his Tap-Dancing shoes help him play Rhythms whose purposes aren’t only hypnotizing but for example making illusions or a very irritating noise , abilities that are definitely dangerous in a fight.
However there is another thing that bothers me. At Marineford Lafitte appeared with 2 large wings.
At first I thought that they were proof that he is a Birkan and then I read theories about him being a Siren Zoan (please don’t mention the Siren Zoan in the comments because my previous theory was filled with such comments ). However , I think that the wings are a result of another Zoan Devil Fruit. The Devil Fruit I think he consumed is the Owl Devil Fruit. This could not only explain his wings , but also his Owl-like legs as seen in this picture.

Here we got a White Owl.

Owl’s mastery isn’t only extreme vision but also stealthiness. This way , we can explain how nobody noticed him during the Shichibukai meeting.
So I think that in general his fighting style is composed of extreme speed , abilities to hypnotize and manipulate , flight and of course extreme stealthiness making it very hard for his opponent to locate him.

So guys I hope you enjoyed this theory !

One Piece AMV – Live Your Dream

    Amazing motivational AMV!

    Here’s the text in english:

From “Awakening” (speech by Les Brown)

Most of us go through life pretending that we don’t have any special goals or ambitions or desires when really deep down inside we do really want more.  We block ourselves and we use these words almost like we’re in a trance, like we’re sleep-walking through life, that we find ways to cancel out our dreams, that a lot of things that we want to do, a lot of places we would like to go, a lot of things we would like to experience, and we just stop at “but.”

But will cause you to hide out behind fear, but will cause you to come up with all types of excuses that you can validate your inaction and not acting on your dream.  “But” is a dream-killer.

But most people, you know what they do?  Most people go through life quietly and safely tiptoeing to an early grave.  We’ve been holding back, we have ideas we that don’t act on, things that we want to do, we’re afraid to take chances.  A lot of people say no to things and they don’t even know what they’re saying no to!  Don’t allow but to keep you in the corner.

A lot of people say, “But I tried once,” or “twice,” “and it didn’t work out,” and so they use that as an excuse not to ever come out again.  Even if things don’t work out, even if I experience defeat or failure, that does not make me a failure.  There’s a difference between failing and being a failure.  If things don’t work out, if you don’t produce the results you want, that’s all, but don’t confuse who you are with the results that you produce.  Do what you can where you are with what you have, and never be satisfied.  Yeah, don’t get satisfied with yourself.  Always know that wherever you are, you can enjoy more, that you deserve more.  Why don’t you decide now that you can expand your world, that if other people can learn you can learn, too.

If you’re working on you dream, sure they’re gonna be times when you’re gonna want to give up, sure there will be times when life will knock you down and catch you on the blind side, but the challenge is to hold on.  And if you hold on tenaciously, I say the universe is on your side.  If you don’t decide to act on your dream, if you don’t decide to make a decision to live your life, if you don’t decide to step into your fears, if you don’t decide to say yes to your life, it will never work for you. You’ve got to live what’s in life, life is too short and unpredictable.

But what do we say?  “But there will always be tomorrow.“   Oh, no. There’s no guarantees that you’re gonna show up tomorrow.  Always something there, the reason you can’t move on, the reason why you can’t grow to the next level, why you can’t being to manifest your greatness, why you can’t begin to live life on your terms, that you’re gonna say “it’s not worth it.”  Yes, that’s going to be right there for you, it’s going to be in your face, telling you to go back.  So if you want to do something, if you’ve thought about something you want to do, take it head-on.  Life will never be the same.

    Live your dream.

      One Piece Mythological Connections

      1

Raijin: Raijin was created by the divine pair Izanami and Izanagi after the creation of Japan. There is a legend which says the eight lightning gods were charged with protection of the Dharma by the Buddha. Depicted as a muscled man carrying a series of drums, which he uses to make the rumbling sound of thunder.

Davy Jones: Davy Jones is not a pirate legend, it is a sailor’s legend. It’s important to note that in legend Davy Jones is not the Captain of the Flying Dutchman. The name is best known in the expression ‘Davy Jones’s locker,’ meaning the bottom of the sea, to which drowned sailors go. And that he would Perch among the rigging on the eve of hurricanes:, ship-wrecks, and other disasters to which sea-faring life is exposed, warning the devoted wretch of death and woe. The story of Davy Jones is a combination of many different legends that were blended together from various different cultures. Some say he was a pub owner in London and others say in Wales, who would pull out drugged rum from a locker and give it to unsuspecting sailors who would then pass out and wake up on a pirate ship. It is also said that Davy is a compromise of the word “duppy” which is a West Indian term for a malevolent spirit that would cause harm.

The Flying Dutchman: The true legend of the Flying Dutchman takes place off the coast of Cape Town. A captain named Van Der Deckon set sail after unloading all of his cargo, though his crew begged him not to. He sailed straight into a hurricane; the weather was so horrible that he had to leash himself to the helm to prevent him from being swept over board. In the midst of the storm he called out “God cannot even make me change my mind!” and swore that he would sail on until he reached the end of the earth. Shortly after he said these words a ghost appeared on the ship, and the crew dropped dead and when the captain tried to shoot this figure his arm withered. The ship went red in color and disappeared. It is said that it still sails the waters.
In the 14th century,  the chance of salvation was introduced through a woman’s devotion and the opportunity to set foot on land every seven years to seek a faithful wife.

      2

Neptune: Roman god of the sea. Jupiter took the sky, Neptune the sea and Pluto the underworld. One day Neptune saw the water nymph Amphitrite dancing in the island of Naxos and fell in love with her. Had many sons, one named Triton. Tempests and earthquakes were a reflection of his furious rage. Neptune was considered to be the bad-tempered, moody god. Once insulted, he would revenge himself.

Euryale: She is the second eldest of the three Gorgon sisters, her and her sisters possess brass hands, sharp fangs, and hair of living, venomous snakes. She and Stheno are immortal  In some versions of mythology, Euryale also had the ability to turn anyone to stone with her gaze Euryale is noted for her bellowing cries. She is known for her eyes that hold such beauty, that a mortal man caught who looked into them would be caught in their beauty and trapped forever.

Triton: A mythological Greek God, the messenger of the sea. He is the son of Poseidon (Neptune)and Amphitrite God and goddess of the sea respectively, and is herald for his father. He is usually represented as a merman, having the upper body of a human and the tail of a fish. Like his father, he carries a trident. Triton’s special attribute was a twisted conch shell, on which he blew like a trumpet to calm or raise the waves.

Stheno: The eldest of the three Gorgon sister, she killed more men than both her others sisters combined. The sisters are
the daughter of Phorcys and Ceto they were born in the caverns beneath Mt. Olympus. She is known to be the most independent and ferocious, having killed more men than both of her sisters combined. Transformed into a Gorgon because of standing with her sister Medusa. Stheno tends to be depicted as a thin gorgon monster with red snakes curling around her head instead of hair. She had a temper that was said to be extremely violent

Medusa: The youngest and only mortal of the three sisters. A once beautiful woman who was either raped or seduced by the sea god Posiedon in the Temple of Athena. Athena was furious with Medusa. As a punishment, Medusa was changed into a terrible monster, along with her sisters Stheno and Euryale. Gazing directly into her eyes would turn onlookers to stone. Seeing herself thus transformed into so repulsive an object, Medusa fled from her home, never to return. Wandering about, abhorred, dreaded, and shunned by all the world, she now developed into a character, worthy of her outward appearance. Her name translates to “ruler”

Toyotama-hime: Her name mean “luminous jewel” also known as Otohime. She is the Japanese goddess of the sea daughter of Ryujin. She helped a hunter find his hook, and he found love with Toyotama-hime and they were married. Her husband began to long to return to the surface world. She was pregnant with his child and consented, so long as he would promise not to watch when she gave birth. He agreed and built a house for them to live in, and at the time of the birth, his curiosity got the better of him and he looked. He saw a huge black dragon holding a tiny baby. Toyotama-hime, who had changed to her dragon form of to give birth, was ashamed, and she left him and the baby and returned to the sea.
