7TH SHICHIBUKAI – ROB LUCCI Theory

OK I know it sounds kinda ludicrous at first, but after quite a research I came to the realization that the 7th Shichibukai is none other than Rob Lucci.

But before bringing you the reasons why I think so, let’s see where we have seen him last time:
In the mini-arc “CP9’s Independent Report” Rob Lucci’s wounds were treated, however when they went back to their homeland they were attacked by the marines- they are now outlaws because Spandam put all of the responsibility for the huge blunder that happened for the WG on Enies Lobby solely on them.

1

The CP9 easily defeated the marines and left with a marine ship.

So, why would I think that it would be Lucci that is the 7th Shichibukai?
First of all, let’s see the introduction of the new Shichibukais:

2

Now, he mentions the 7th Shichibukai as “The Person I mentioned earlier”, that means that it wasn’t just a small introduction that there was for the rest of them, he actually needed to talk quite about him- perhaps because he is controversial he must legitimize the WG’s decision.

Now, there is only a single reason why the 7th Shichibukai won’t be mentioned by name- because we already know him.

Now we must see what are the criteria for being a Shichibukai:
1. You are an outlaw according to the WG
2. You are very powerful
3. You are needed by the WG to fill a spot

And then I saw that:

x
The man in the middle- I am certain he is Rob Lucci, they look practically the same:

3

Same hair, same hat, and the fact that he became an outlaw (Whether or not a Pirate), it makes the most sense.

It makes the most sense that Lucci would be indeed seen again, considering the fact that his story ended with a cliffhanger- we don’t officially know what happened to him since, so it makes a lot of sense that he would return as a Shichibukai.

So, why would he become a Shichibukai? Obviously following the battle at Marineford the WG needed new Shichibukai.
Now the WG very much feels sorry for losing a fighter of his level, and also he and Sakazuki share a similar sense of justice, making it quite possible that Sakazuki would prefer him over any other pirate.

This might also explain the fact that before presenting the other Shichibukai, in his lecture the Marine had to explain quite a lot about Lucci, because he is officially considered as the guy who is responsible for one of the worst blunders of the WG ever.

So, in conclusion:
*Because his name wasn’t even mentioned that means we already know the 7th Shichibukai
*The New Shichibukai is controversial
*Shichibukai are powerful, and prior becoming a Shichibukai were outlaws
*Rob Lucci’s story ended in a cliffhanger, meaning that we’ll meet him again
*Rob Lucci became an outlaw, he is also powerful, and controversial due to his responsibility over what happened in Enies Lobby
*He was seen as one of the brokers of the underworld, maybe as a spy or maybe he actually started to be against the WG, changing his ideals, therefore we know he’s alive and have a high possibility of meeting him sometime, maybe even soon
*Sakazuki and the high ranking WG officials are likely to pick him as a Shichibukai over other pirates, due to similar ideals and actions

So, what are your opinions?

JEWELREY BONNEY, THE OLDEST DAUGHTER OF CHARLOTTE LINLIN theory

Jewelrey Bonney is Big Mom’s daughter, not only does Bonney was probably the attractive version of Big Mom (LOL) but they also share the same appetite.

    One_Piece_v51_139

And maybe Bonney in a way, subconsciously shows her similarities with Big Mom, so she designed her ship similar to Cake Island.

    q

Right now, Bonney is 24 years old and she was from South Blue, Gol D. Roger died 22 years ago, it is safe to assume that Big Mom had been an Emperor (or at least became a pirate) before or at the same time Gol D. Roger became the Pirate King.

    a

Could Big Mom had Bonney that time and then left her in care of another family in South Blue to pursue piracy?

Here’s a timeline to make things clearer:

    1. Charlotte Linlin, a pirate, had a child named Bonney in South Blue 24 years ago, in order to pursue piracy, she left Bonney, a baby, somewhere in South Blue where Bonney grew up as an orphan until she ended being adopted by a rich noble family of Jewelreys.

    w

    2. Meanwhile, around the time after Gol D. Roger’s death, Big Mom, who is now a top-tier pirate had another daughter while travelling. Lola (yes, Bonney is older than Lola, if I remember correctly, Lola is almost the same age as Nami.)
    3. Lola who was born in the New World, became a pirate as well but she and her own crew got caught in what we know is the Thriller Bark.
    4. Jewelrey Bonney decided to be a pirate (unknowingly taking after her mother) after she met Portgas D. Ace while he was on his hunt for Blackbeard, she had been a friend of Ace’s and took interest in him , along her journey, Jewelrey Bonney ate the Age-Age Fruit.

The reason why Bonney was crying at the time of Ace’s death, and it’s the reason why Bonney hates Blackbeard.

    d

    5. In her time of being a pirate, Jewelrey Bonney was caught by Akainu, where she was being hunted for the danger her abilities represent to the World Government.

Simply said, Jewelrey Bonney’s power is to “age” either people, herself or any other living things around nature (including islands) just by touching it, to be more clear, Bonney either “rewinds” or “forward” the lifespan.

The drawback though is, Bonney can only “age” something or someone very old or very young.

That’s what Akainu (and the Gorosei) were worried about, like Nico Robin and Franky being a major threat to World Government, Jewelrey Bonney had the potential to bring back the island of Ohara to existence (even though she had no intention of doing so), and though she can not revive a person, Bonney reviving the island might reveal some evidences of Ohara’s innocence which the Government feared. (and no, Bonney cannot revive the Ancient Kingdom because unlike Ohara, Ancient Kingdom sunk underwater.)

And another drawback is that she needs to keep on eating, because using her abilities means giving her energy on that person/object as well.

Akainu was wary of Bonney’s potential (remember that the Marine got a very good intelligence unit team), he personally came when he heard Bonney can be subjugated.

    xx

Blackbeard knows of her worth so he made Bonney a hostage that time, now that I mentioned about the “intelligence” of Marines, Blackbeard is pretty impressive to be that low-profile.

NOTE: Assuming that Ace hunted Blackbeard the same time Luffy started became a pirate, we can assume that Bonney left her town to follow Ace, the same time Luffy set sail, reason she was considered a rookie.

      Shanks vs Blackbeard pirates theory

Many fans believe that Shanks has a very deep personal history with Blackbeard (Shanks’ Scar), and that the old Yonko will soon challenge the new Yonko: Shanks vs. Blackbeard

      1

With Shanks and Blackbeard fighting, their crews will also fight.

      23

Interesting is, that from what we’ve seen so far, BOTH Pirate Crews have exactly 10 members. Coincidence? I doubt it. (Same counts for the Straw Hats).

Now you could make a case for the Blackbeard Pirates having 11 members, because of:

      1. Stronger the horse – He might be a Zoan user
      2. Blackbeard’s Crew has 10 Captains, Jesus Burgess being the 1st Captain. Blackbeard himself + 10 Captains would be 11 members.

If one of these is true, and I think it is, then the BB Pirates would have 1 more member than the Red Hair Pirates. Here is where Dracule Mihawk comes into play. He and Shanks can be considered good friends, and he would never stand still while Shanks is in great danger.

What I am getting at are 3 key matchups:

      • Shanks vs. Teach
      • Mihawk vs. Shiliew
      • Yasopp vs. Van Augur

And if you remember the title of this thread, you know what comes next:

      • Teach kills Shanks
      • Shiliew kills Mihawk
      • Van Augur kills Yasopp

This would lead to a whole new level of emotion & drama in the One Piece story! Luffy wouldnt be able to return the Hat, Zoro wouldnt be able to defeat the one he tried to surpass his entire life, and Usopp wouldnt be bale to reunite with his dad as a brave warrior of the sea.

This would also increase the friction/hatred between Luffy and Blackbeard to infinity. Especially Usopp, Zoro and Luffy would then have a personal vendetta against the BB Pirates, and their wish for vengeance might be a huge task for the other Straw Hats to handle, and to keep the harmony in the Straw Hat Crew. Then we would have fights like:

      • Luffy vs. Teach -> To avenge Shanks
      • Zoro vs. Shiliew -> To avenge Mihawk
      • Usopp vs. Van Augur -> To avenge Yasopp

On a sidenote: I see Makino’s child being the son/daughter of Shanks, and in the end, Luffy will give the Straw Hat to Shanks’ child.

        FUTURE ADMIRALS theory

The future admirals will be Coby, Sentomaru and Smoker. These three all have one thing in common. They have some similarities to the 3 strongest marines in Roger’s era i.e. Garp, Sengoku and Zerphy.

        1.Garp e Coby:

        12

-Base of operation: Both are located at the hq.
-Fighting style: Hand to hand combat. Some elements of their fighting styles are similar since Coby is Garp’s apprentice
-Partners: Garp had Bogard while Coby has Helmeppo. Both partners carry a bladed weapon.

        34

-Both have a deep trust with their pirate rival: Garp with Roger, Coby with Luffy
-Sense of justice: Their sense of justice is the same. They will sit and drink with pirates they consider as friends but when the tym comes they will hunt them down without holding back.

Coby will surpass Garp and inherit his will. He will also inherit part of Garps nickname just like Sanji inherited the “leg” from Zeref.

        2. Sengoku and Sentomaru:

        56

-Appearance: When Sengoku is using his df he turns into a Buddha giant. He looks similar to a sumo wrestler which is similar to Sentomaru.
        -Fighting style:

-Both use their palms to fight. Both their palms release energy blasts. Sengokus is a shockwave while Sentomaru is a CoA haki blast.
-Sense of justice:Both follow a similar sense of justice. They have respect for pirates who they feel deserve respect. They both are disgusted with pirates who are not worthy of their respect. They will fight them without holding back. They don’t hate pirates but they feel that it is their duty as marines to stop them.

Sentomaru will surpass Sengoku and will inherit his will.

        3. Zerphy and Smoker:

        78

-Base of operation: Both are stationed at G-5 in New world.
-Weapons: Both use kairoseki weapons. Smoker with his Jutte and Zerphy with his arm.

        1011

-Nicknames: Both their nicknames have a colour theme. Zerphy is black while Smoker is white
-DF: Zerphy has no df while Smoker has a df.
-Sense of justice: They both believe in the same justice. Pirates are evil while marines are good. They live in a black and white world. Both are strong believers of justice
-Both their beliefs in the marines and WG change over time. Zerphy left the marines as a result.
-Their character themes are opposite in some aspects. One has a df with a white color theme while the other has no df with a black color theme

Smoker will surpass Zerphy and inherit his will. Since they are opposite to each other, Smoker will be able to do what Zerphy could not. that is to change the marines and to change his mentality from a black and white one to a gray one.

That is why I believe these 3 people will be the admirals in the future.
Thanks for reading. All feedback is welcome. Be it good or bad.

          Zoro Theory

(you can send your theory about  everything related to OnePiece via email at [email protected])

          roronoa-zoro-scar-katana-one-piece-anime-wallpaper404.com-hd

I would talk about the mystery and real nature of Strawhat Pirate crew’s Pirate Hunter: Roronoa Zoro.

Roronoa Zoro and his origins currently in the series, along with 3 other original Strawhat crewmembers, Nami, Sanji and Ussop remains as a mystery.

Aside from their initial backstories, the 4 original recruits of Luffy, especially Ussop and Zoro, recieved almost too little backstories regarding their origins.

I always thought these 4 are special characters, including Luffy, not only with their roles in the story, but also with their origins which is highly connected to the whole Void Century thing.

I could categorize the Strawhats into this group, if I may label it like that:

          1. The East Blue Recruits: Zoro, Nami, Ussop and Sanji.

They are apparently, the more human recruits of Luffy (or so it seems), and we could basically say the foundation of the Strawhat crew. They fulfill the roles to set the story up and provide the needed basic roles in the ship (navigation, cooking, weapon specialist, inventions, ship fixing, flag making, first-aid)

          2. The Paradise Recruits: Chopper, Nico Robin, Franky and Brook.

I would consider these 4 as the guys who made the Strawhat Crew diversed. They are the ones who provided the roles to expand the story (Archeologist) and fill the minor roles in the crew or take over the roles of the original Strawhats (Shipwright, Musician, Doctor), also, I believe that these 4 would NOT get any more backstories, what you see from their origins is what you get; and that includes Franky and Brook, I believe. While Franky was said to have pirate parents, I think it would not be tackled upon since Tom provided the parent figure of Franky.

And though it can be said the same for Nami, the Paradise recruits already provided important aspects of the story that is connected to either Luffy’s fate or the Void Century that completes their characters aside from their dreams, unlike the 4 original members; Robin became the catalyst for the angle of Void Century, Franky opened up the angle of Pluton, an ancient weapon, Chopper’s dream is already tied in to Luffy’s impending critical condition at the end of series and Brook’s relationship with Crocus, a former crewmember of Gol D. Roger.

          3. The New World Recruits: Jinbe, Tashigi, An Elbaf Warrior and Smoker.

These 4, are the guys I would say that would tie the loose ends in the story (Oda does everything for a reason) If the original recruits are the ones who provided the main gist of the story and the Paradise recruits expanded the story, the New World recruits are all connected in the sense that they will complete the puzzle of the story: Yonkous, Revolutionaries and Ancient Weapon.

And while the original recruits provided the basic roles of the ship, and the next 4 recruits filled the holes, I believe the 4 next strawhat would NOT have any specific positions or roles in the ship, but instead, they would bridge the gap between differences in the series like; human and fishmen, pirates and marines and past and present.

The 3rd set of recruits, instead of roles, will present a different kind of diversity, 2 monsters (a fish and a giant) and 2 humans who are very different from the rest (1 marine who despises pirates and 1 female who wants to compete equally with males…not to mention, a logia as well.)

I believe the 3rd set of recruits will be a statement on how Luffy and the original Strawhats would be able to surpass Gol D. Roger and his legacy, or at least, their selves.

          1. Jinbe – Nami coming into terms and being in the same ship with the same race she grew up hating. We could aslo assume Sanji is connected to Jinbe in a way.

          2. Tashigi – Zoro having someone to pass Wado Ichimonji after the voyage, especially since she resembles his old friend so much. Sanji might also have someone who would not shun him. (I kid, I kid)

          3. Elbaf Warrior – Ussop achieving his dream to go and even having an Elbaf Warrior as a crewmate.

          4. Smoker – Luffy recruiting his so-called “rival” who unlike Roger, never crossed that boundary with Garp.

Now that is out of the way, let us discuss the first of the original recruits of the Strawhat Pirate Crew, Roronoa Zoro and his true origins.

Roronoa Zoro’s backstory revolved around his connection with Kuina, and how he developed his dream, but it was never mentioned on where he came from, he just appeared in front of Koshiro wanting to challenge every students in Koshiro’s dojo and we all know how it turned out between him and Kuina.

There was very little evidence on Roronoa Zoro’s origin and true nature, so what we are gonna do is to use some speculation and possible hints to give a good hypothesis on this theory.

Even before Zoro was formally introduced, Coby described Zoro as a “blood thirsty monster or devil” as Luffy expressed his desire to recruit him.

During his fight against Kaku, Zoro, for the first time, exhibited a kind of power that is impossible to explain by natural means: Asura.

Even Kaku mentioned that he felt an “evil” aura in that moment.

Most of Zoro’s moves are a reference to either unlucky animals.

Non-christian references. Specifically Buddhist and Hindu references, in which pertains heavily to the idea of reincarnation

          or the devil itself.

During the Skypiea Arc, Zoro expressed his disbelief in God and I believe this heavily hinted that Zoro is the anti-God.

Now, I think you’ll get the idea that “hey, Zoro is an anti-God, then that means he is a D!”

          Not necessarily.

Because eventhough D people are said to be as the natural enemies of the Gods, which is clearly a figurative comparison to Tenryuubitos, Zoro, is referencing and the hints that was given, is referencing to God itself.

          You get my drift?

Roronoa Zoro is not a human.

Roronoa Zoro is the incarnation of the Devil itself. specifically, a soul of a devil that never found a fruit, but instead, one that escaped from Uranus like the Yami-Yami No Mi.

The Shinu-Shinu No Mi, or the Death Fruit.

Unlike the Yami-Yami No Mi, that came from Blackbeard’s direct ancestor and resided in the fruit and chose Blackbeard to be his owner, the Shinu-Shinu No Mi wandered for ages until it decided to use Zoro as a container.

If i’m gonna make a bet, while Zoro is at her mother’s womb.

It’s the reason why Zoro got a very bad sense of direction.

And like Luffy, Sanji and Ussop, who got rare types of lineages in them, Zoro’s endurance and strength is abnormal.

It’s also the reason why Zoro, Luffy and Ace knew that Blackbeard got other “entities” inside him.

Its one thing to have an Observation Haki, but I think otherwise.

Luffy and Ace are D’s that can subconsciously sense Blackbeard’s nature, because of him being a D as well.

And Zoro having inside a cursed soul inside him, subconsciously sensed Blackbeard’s secret, because Blackbeard also got a cursed soul.

I would like to add that I believe there are 3 cursed souls in the series.

          1. Yomi-Yomi No Mi – one that gives back the soul of the owner and uses power from the Underworld.
          2. Shinu-Shinu No Mi – one who controls the souls of the dead and uses the power of the Devils.
          3. Yami-Yami No Mi – one who controls and claims dominance to other souls (that came from Uranus) and uses the power of the deepest pit, the Abyss or the Void.

Now, you may think i’m just bullshitting around, but I do believe that these abilities, (in Zoro’s case, his soul) are referencing the definitions of levels of hell from the Buddhism, Greek, Hinduism and even Christian beliefs.

They all differ, but I think they all agree on it having 3 main areas, in this case we would use the Greek Mythology.

The Shades – which I believe is the direct reference to Yomi-Yomi No Mi, which is where the River Styx is located, in this area, we can still bring the dead back, which is obviously Brook’s primary ability.

It’s also a reference to Yomi, or the Japanese version of the Underworld, in which Izanagi recovered Izanami from the dead.

The Elysian Fields – although this is described in the Greek Myths as a place of warriors, this still the place of the death, in which I think references the Shinu-Shinu No Mi, which is Zoro’s soul.

The Tartaros – A direct reference to Yami-Yami No Mi, the Abyss, in which is a place of complete darkness where no light can go through and is a place of suffering and punishment for grave sins.

Oh, did I mentioned that it’s being guarded by Cerberus, a three-headed dog which is a direct reference to Blackbeard’s jolly roger?

If there’s one thing that follows Zoro, it’s unlucky, cursed and evil things.

In Lougetown, Zoro was chosen by the cursed sword, Sandai Kitetsu.

Zoro was chosen by the cursed Samurai, Ryuuma.

And Zoro possess a very “animal” presence within him, as stated by many people.

And the reason why Zoro does not get weak on seawater, even though he had a “soul of the devil” inside him (that came from the moon), was because unlike the Yomi-Yomi, his devil soul did not get actually get caught in the Uranus and assumingly just roamed the world for centuries until it resided inside Zoro.

            Inspiration Behind the Poneglyphs

            monkey_d_luffy_wallpape-background-anime-onepiece

The name Poneglyph itself was more than likely chosen from hieroglyphs (Word of the Gods). However, given that Oda has been inspired by Vikings it seems that the Poneglyphs main inspiration has come from the Rök Runestone. There are many different types of Nordic runestone I could have used, but this one seems to have many elements which the Poneglyphs also have.
To begin, the Rök Runestone contains a fragment of what is believed to be a lost piece of Norse mythology. Similarly to how the Poneglyph’s (perhaps more so the Rio Poneglyph) has fragments of the lost history of the Void Century. The passage on the stone itself has three parts which each consist of 2 questions and one poetic-like answer, much like how Robin discovered there are Poneglyphs containing clues or truths.
The stone mentions twelve battles of war over two war booties/precious weapons which would likely be the Ancient Weapons in One Piece. Although the number of weapons are different, perhaps One Piece’s narrative required three. Possibly that the origins of each weapon came from a Sky Island, one from Earth and another from Fishman Island, or something along those lines.
The stone also refers to twenty kings (four brothers who each had five sons), these brothers all had the same name. This piece of mythology was supposedly common knowledge at the time, but has since been completely lost. Now we know the Twenty Kingdoms brought the downfall of the Ancient Kingdom and became the World Government. However, the all male bloodline and the same name could also mean the ‘D’s. Although, there are 5 members of the Gorosei who we don’t know almost anything about, so they could be the eldest living descendants of these brothers.
If this is indeed the Poneglyphs origin, I’d guess Oda has done what he did with Whitebeard/Blackbeard and used the same source to influence both. For those who don’t know, the real Blackbeard was named Edward Teach/Thatch. From that, in One Piece we got Edward Newgate (Whitebeard), Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard) and Thatch, who Blackbeard killed to get his Yami Yami no Mi.
Finally, the last part becomes difficult to read given that the runes used switches to an older style. It’s been assumed that its intentional, and that the rows following this point concerns legends connected specifically to a single tribe(Vélinn’s). A brief summary would be that Vélinn who wrote the rune lost his son, possibly in the battle I referenced earlier, his wife made some sort of sacrifice, and it also talks about the strength to overcome a giant.
Given the cyclic nature of One Piece, this could possibly be used as a description of the first time the World Government and Ancient Kingdom fought. Skip forward 800 or so years and Gol D. Roger finds the Rio Poneglyph. His wife, sacrifices herself to keep Ace alive. Ace then eventually gets killed in the Battle of Marineford, which also happens to include the giant-like Little Oars Jr. However giant could easily mean adversity in general and I’m reading too much into this.
All this said, given the history of Ace, he could have respected Gol D. and gained his will and sought to become pirate king. Luffy could have also become a marine like his grandfather or even a revolutionary, but he fatefully met Shanks, gained the Strawhat and wanted only to become pirate king. Ace and Luffy meet and swear brotherhood to one another, meaning in some weird, indirect way Roger is almost like Luffy’s father too. The marines therefore probably killed the wrong ‘son’ and Luffy escaping has broken this cycle.

ARE “D”S THE DEVIL? THE MYSTERY DEEPENS!

(you can send your argumented theory about  everything related to OnePiece via email at [email protected])

              one_piece___knowing_will_of_d__by_uchiha275-d8343fs

So in light of the recent chapter of One Piece, we have learned that those who are considered “D”s are the “Natural Enemies of Gods”. Now as we all know, within One Piece the Celestial Dragons consider themselves Gods, among the human race. When you take the context of what Corazon said about the “D”s being the natural enemies of the “Gods”, one would assume that this means, the “D”s take on the role of the Devils.

I know, I know, it sounds crazy right, especially considering that in most religions and Mythology, the Devil, is undoubtably an evil entity, and just doesn’t seem to fit the persona of all the “D”s we have seen so far within the series of One Piece…. Well I decided to do some digging, and I found something very very interesting. In some religions, the Devils were known as “Tricksters”, and these beings, although sometimes were considered evil, were far from the “Devils” I had grown up reading about. And the more I read up on them, the more and more I saw the similarities between “Tricksters” and “D”s.

*In mainstream Islam and Christianity, God and the Devil are usually portrayed as fighting over the souls of humans. The Devil commands a force of evil spirits, commonly known as demons.[2] The Hebrew Bible (or Old Testament) describes the Adversary (ha-satan) as an angel who instigates tests upon humankind.[3][4] Many other religions have a trickster or tempter figure that is similar to the Devil. Modern conceptions of the Devil include the concept that it symbolizes humans’ own lower nature or sinfulness..

**The trickster deity breaks the rules of the gods or nature, sometimes maliciously (for example, Loki) but usually with ultimately positive effects (though the trickster’s initial intentions may have been either positive or negative).

***Operating outside the framework of right and wrong, tricksters do not recognize the rules of society. Their characters and actions are far from simple, however. Often childish, greedy, lustful, and even nasty, tricksters can also be friendly, helpful, clever, and wise. Sometimes they appear to be clownish, clumsy, or foolish, although they usually possess amazing powers of survival. A trickster may come to a sorry end in one story but then, after being miraculously brought back to life, reappear in other tales.

****Sometimes a trickster is a creator or culture hero whose activities explain how some aspect of the world came into being. In northeastern America, for example, myths of the Algonquian-speaking people tell of a trickster named Gluskap. Gluskap lived in the cold north, but during a journey to the warm south, he tricked Summer, a beautiful female chieftain, into returning north with him. After she melted the cold of Winter, Gluskap let her return to her home. Maui, the trickster hero of the Polynesian Islands in the Pacific Ocean, created the world while he was fishing. He let out a long fishing line and reeled in island after island from the bottom of the ocean. Later, Maui stole fire from the underworld and gave it to humans.

This is just some of the Information that I have found on Trickster, and trust me, I could quote a whole lot more. But as you can see, the trickster, is neither good nor evil. They live their life the way they want to, and depending on the circumstances, tend to bring some type of positive effect around them, regardless of their intentions in the first place. If you look at if from the standpoint of of the “D”s we’ve seen so far in the series, from the M0nkeys to the Marshalls, it basically covers both sides of the spectrum pertaining to Tricksters.

So what do you guys think, are the “D”s ultimately the “Tricksers/Devils” of the One Piece World, or do you believe that the “D”s hide a deeper meaning? If so, what do you believe they are?

Luffy destroying Fishman Island-Under what Circumstances?

Everyone remembers the infamous scene during the Fishman Island Arc in which Madam Shirley predicted that Luffy would destroy Fishman Island, and we also know, she’s never been wrong.

                Shyarly_Anime_Infobox

So under what circumstances do you think this will occur?

                1)War with Big Mom:
Maybe at one point Big Mom will threaten and eventually invade Fishman Island provoking Luffy to return and fight her. The war will be so chaotic, that the island is destroyed and the citizens of Fishman Island will have to be evacuated (presumably by Noah).

                2) One Piece “Project”:
A popular theory has been surfing around the internet about the true contents of One Piece. This theory states that One Piece is not a treasure but actually rather a project that seeks to create the almighty sea of freedom: All Blue. But for that to happen they need to destroy the entirety of the Red Line which includes: Reverse Mountain, Mariejois and Fishman Island. Citizens will be evacuated of course.

                3) General Union with the Humans:
Once the time is right, Luffy will destroy Fishman Island, and bring all the Fishmen and Merfolk above shore, where they will finally have accomplished their dream.

Ancient Weapons – Uranus and the Tree of Devil Fruits

(you can send your theory about  everything related to OnePiece via email at [email protected])

Let’s start a theory about the famous 3 Ancient Weapons (From here on “AW”), trying to figure out what Uranus is.
We have Pluton, a ship as weapon of mass destruction, Poseidon, the ability to control the Sea Kings becoming manifest in the Mermaid Princess (once 800 years ago, and now again in Shirahoshi), and Uranus, a yet completely unknown weapon.

The AWs have one big inspiration: Mythology!

“Each of the Ancient Weapons is named after a Greco-Roman god affiliated with the earth, sea, and sky respectively: Pluto ruled the underworld, which was believed to be underground and all mineral wealth within the earth belonged to him; Poseidon was the ruler of the sea; and Uranus was the personification of the sky.” – OP Wiki

Poseidon was the ruler of the sea -> The AW Poseidon is the Sea King controlling Mermaid Princess
All mineral wealth within the earth belonged to Pluton -> The AW Poseidon is a ship, something tangible, probably out of wood (or steel?), in any case out of a material, something “from earth”.
Uranus was the personification of the sky. -> The AW Uranus is related to the sky? Probably.
Now the 3 Ancient Weapons have this pattern a lot:

                  1. God of the sea, God of mineral wealth (earth), God of the sky
                  2. A mermaid, a ship, something in the sky
                  3. 1 weapon under water, 1 weapon on the water, 1 weapon above the water

So I say Uranus is something connected to the sky, maybe to wind and weather, there is no doubt for me.

Now to the question: What could Uranus be? And where is it?

                  1. Location:

Judging by the story, Pluton was first mentioned in Alabasta, a normal island in Paradise.
Poseidon: Fishman Island, deep under the sea below the Red Line.
That leaves? The New World! Uranus’ location/introduction in the story will be connected to the New World. Where in the New World? Well, there is 1 fact we know from Chapter 0: Gol D. Roger was in possession of an Ancient Weapon. I say he possessed Uranus, which would reveal us the location: Raftel!

                  2. Identity:

Let’s continue our way of thinking in patterns: So far we have one weapon as a person or animal, in general a living being (Poseidon), one weapon as a ship (Pluton).

That means Uranus is neither a person, nor a ship. What is left? And what of the things that are left is actually in the sky?

Some ideas: A flying animal? An airplane? A cloud? A sky island? A moon? If you count Shirahoshi as animal, then maybe Uranus is in fact a person? Or a Devil Fruit?

                  Let’s test these ideas:

                  1. A flying animal? – I count Poseidon already as an animal, so no.
                  2. An airplane? – Well that would also be a tangible weapon, just like a ship, so no.
                  3. A cloud? – A little hard to imagine how a cloud could have/be a weapon, so no.
                  4. A sky island? – Possible, but we already know that there are a lot of sky islands, and one of them being an Ancient Weapon wouldnt be very special anymore, so no.
                  5. A moon? – There are 6 moons in One Piece, Enel being on one of them, and we know people lived on the moon. Kinda heard to imagine that one of those 6 would be a weapon, so no.
                  6. A person? – I think Shirahoshi counts as a person (living being), so no.
                  7. A Devil Fruit? – There are so many, many Devil Fruits, it would be kinda lame if Uranus is just one special Devil Fruit, so no.

Many believe that Monkey D. Dragon himself is Uranus, or that his Devil Fruit is Uranus, but that would be like a copy of Shirahoshi just with a human, right? It wouldnt quite fit the pattern.

Hmm, so nothing really fits? That’s disappointing. What is left then? Let’s gather some more info:

                  Magnitude

                  12243851553_c651c22057_o

In this picture, we see the 3 races from the moon, the Birkans, Skypieans and Shandorians, travelling from the moon down to the earth, this was long before the Void Century. The 3 races are symbolized by 3 different hats: 1 antenna, 1 helmet, and 1 fish-head -> Uranus, Pluton and Poseidon.

We see that the leader of this journey is in fact the character with the antenna hat: Uranus. This makes perfect sense, because in Greco-Roman mythology, Uranus is the grandfather of Zeus, Pluton (Hades) and Poseidon!

That means the Ancient Weapon Uranus should be of much greater magnitude than Poseidon and Pluton.

I also think that the 3 races from the moon were the founders of the Ancient Kingdom, as well as their weapons: Poseidon, Pluton and Uranus. This would fit 2 patterns:

                  1. Mythology: God is “not from the earth”, God created the earth, and the human race with Adam & Eve (more about them later), just like the 3 races came “down to earth”.
                  2. US Forces: Navy, Army and Air Force as “weapons” for the USA, just like Poseidon, Pluton and Uranus as weapons for the Ancient Kingdom.

                  Adam & Eve

I already stated, that Pluton is a ship, and that Poseidon is the Mermaid Princess, and I also stated their positions, Paradise (Pluton) and Fishman Island (Poseidon). We know two “holy” trees in One Piece: The Treasure Tree Adam and the Sunlight Tree Eve. How are these all connected?

                  Simple:

                  • Poseidon is an AW related to the sea, it’s a mermaid – The Sunlight Tree Eve was mentioned on Fishman Island, because there was a huge tree giving sunlight 10,000 meters beneath the surface. I believe that was in fact the Sunlight Tree Eve, and the location fits perfectly: Fishman Island!
                  • Pluton is an Ancient Weapon related to earth/wood, it’s a ship – Franky mentioned the Treasure Tree Adam, because Roger’s ship the Oro Jackson was built out of that special wood, just like Sunny. He even went to a neighbour island of Water 7 to buy pieces of that wood. So again, the location fits perfectly: Paradise!

Now what about Uranus? I said the location of Uranus was Raftel. I will now explain this further:
Raftel is the place where both trees are connected. Like Uranus is the grandfather of Pluton and Poseidon, on Raftel both trees (connected to Pluton and Poseidon) will combine/connect. We already have 2 trees for the other Ancient Weapons, so I wouldnt be surprised if the remaining weapon is connected to the remaining tree, the Tree of Devil Fruits!

Now what is the connection to the sky?

Sky does not only have to mean the physical sky, like “the place where all the clouds are”. Sky can also be understood in a spiritual way, like heaven. Poseidon is a living being, Pluton is a weapon/ship, like a huge item.
So we have a living being, and an item, what is left? -> Something neither living, nor tangible! Uranus is something spiritual!

First of all, nobody ever reached Raftel but Gold Roger, and we already know that he was in possession of an AW. Evertyhing is connected, the trees, the Poneglyphs and Rio-Poneglyphs, it all is “One Piece”. Second of all, the physical appearance of that tree must be huge, reaching far up into the sky, “godlike”. And lastly, the power of that tree to “give live”, to give power, and to unite all Devil Fruits is something spiritual.

                  Conclusion:

I’m not sure how exactly all this works out, but the simple idea is clear:
The Adam and Eve Trees are connected to the Ancient Weapons Pluton and Poseidon, and mythology tells us that Uranus stands above those two.
That’s why I think the combination of Adam & Eve is the Tree of Devil Fruits, which is nothing else than Uranus.

Think about it: We have a tree that generates sunlight, or energy, we have a tree that generates the matter/material, now all we need is the soul/spirit, right?
Uranus, the Tree of Devil Fruits, is a tree that generates spirit! Namely in form of devils inside the fruits. It brings “life” to those fruits, as well as supernatural powers.

I might be wrong about Uranus being somethign “spiritual”, it could also be the staff we see the Birkan holding (in the cover picture with Enel), like a magic staff. But what Im sure about is, that Uranus generates life, like I already explained.

                  • Eve generates sunlight, to those living under water -> Shirahoshi
                  • Adam generates a special material (wood of the Adam’s tree) to build objects that can withstand anything -> Ships
                  • The Devil Fruit Tree generates spiritual energy/the devil’s soul/ki (however you wanna call it^^), like a god creating a form of life -> The ability to generate spiritual engery, e.g. control of the sky/weather/elements.

Whether or not all Devil Fruits can/will be combined to form the One Piece, or if the Devils will be combined to form the original Devil is a different question. In another theory I also mentioned that the D. characters are the descendants of the Ancient Kingdom, and the Guradian of the Devil Fruits, which would fit if my statement, that the Ancient Weapons belonged to the Ancient Kingdom, is true. Uranus is a weapon of the Ancient Kingdom, the Tree of Devil Fruits, therefore the descendants of that Kingdom are the guardians.

-> Uranus is the Tree of Devil Fruits.

                  What do you guys think?

Devil Fruits & Inherited Will Theory

(you can send your theory about  everything related to OnePiece via email at [email protected])

Theory: Devil Fruits have individual wills and personalities which affect their owners.

                    1
The Devil Made Me Do It In Enies Lobby, as Kaku and Kalifa are about to receive their devil fruits, Jyabura explains that devil fruits work because they contain demons; Lucci tells him he’s full of it, the viewer laughs, and we come away with an understanding that people cannot eat two devil fruits, but no reason why. What if Jyabura wasn’t all wrong? A number of small details come together to act as evidence that devil fruits have personalities and wills which subtly (or sometimes not subtly) affect the personalities of those who eat them.
This is a difficult theory to find evidence for, for two reasons: first, because there are few instances where we see characters both before and after they eat devil fruits; second, because Oda’s storytelling style often gives characters powers which match their personality anyway (for example, is Van Der Decken a creepy stalker who has a thematically appropriate fruit, or does the fruit make him a creepy stalker? Does Corazon/Rocinante prefer not to talk because he has a silence fruit, or did Oda give a silence fruit because he doesn’t like to talk?

However, enough evidence exists that I believe this theory has a strong chance of being right. Moreover, the possible consequences are extremely far-reaching, an exciting trait in any theory, and enough to make this worth considering.
                    Ch-ch-ch-changes
We see, through the story, only a handful of characters before and after eating their fruits. Most of those characters we first see as children, before their personalities are fully developed, or hiding their true personalities. Here is a list of those characters: (EDIT: I’m aware I missed several. My bad.)
                    * Luffy (half a chapter as a kid) * Buggy (a very brief flashback) * Kaku and Kalifa (pretending to be Galley-La workers, followed by stealthily attempting to assassinate Icerberg) * Blackbeard (one short flashback, pretending to be Whitebeard’s family, before he ate the Darkness fruit; two short scenes and a few dialogues after eating the Quake fruit)
                    * Ace (one arc as a kid) *Sabo (one arc as a kid, followed by a few chapters as “Lucy”
                    * Momonosuke (one short flashback)
                    * It’s possible that there are other characters we see before they eat their fruits, but it is unknown (we don’t know for certain whether, say, Whitebeard had his fruit in his various flashbacks, or when Doflamingo ate his).

Of these, the most interesting are the CP9 agents, Kaku and Kalifa. Kalifa’s personality is extremely hard to read while she is Iceberg’s secretary. However, from that section, her break-in in the Galley La office, and her brief actions on the Sea Train, it’s clear she’s extremely decisive and powerful, quite willing to get her hands dirty, and talented with a unique thorn whip. However, after eating her devil fruit, her fights with Sanji and Nami are absurd and comical. She never wields her whip, she uses almost no Rokushiki moves, and she relies primarily on her gimmicky devil fruit rather than simply kicking them both to death. Her personality changes drastically after eating her devil fruit (and not for the better). She goes from deadly assassin to dumb blonde. Similarly, Kaku becomes far sillier, more focused on arguing with Jyabura than on defeating his foes, compared to the efficient assassin we saw in Water 7 (or the friendly parkourer he was pretending to be).

Of the others, it is difficult to draw conclusions from so little data; once we see more of Sabo, and post-timeskip Blackbeard, the effects of the Mera Mera and Gura Gura fruits may become more obvious, but there is simply too little pre-fruit from the others to draw effective comparisons (but see below for more on Ace, Blackbeard, and Momonosuke). However, looking at Luffy reveals something very interesting. In Chapter 1, he first tells Shanks “I want to be a pirate.” Just that, just a pirate. However, after eating the Gum Gum fruit (and after being rescued from the mountain bandits and various other important pieces of character development), he tells him, “I am going to become king of the pirates.” This phrase is later described as being “just like what Roger said”. There is heavy speculation on this forum about whether Roger had a devil fruit at all, as well as whether he had the Gum Gum fruit specifically, but if the theory of Devil Fruit Wills is correct, an inherited fruit may well explain the strange connection between these two.
                    You Are What You Eat
The description of Blackbeard’s Yami Yami fruit is unique: it is the “most evil” of the devil fruits. That’s a very odd description; abilities are morally neutral. When Blackbeard described his fruit as “evil”, it could only be with an awareness of something inherently evil within the fruit, perhaps a personality that had begun to overtake him. This is not to say that Blackbeard was ever a saint: he killed a nakama to get the fruit in the first place (albeit after some hesitation). However, it suggests that he has been made more evil by the fruit, perhaps against his will. Because of his god-killing D nature, this theory predicts that Blackbeard’s story will end with him overcoming his devil fruit and allowing Luffy to defeat him.
Inversely, everyone who has known Ace has been surprised that he had no interest in leading. After setting out on his own and reluctantly joining Whitebeard, he eventually accepts Whitebeard as his father and has no interest in becoming the pirate king himself, even as Whitebeard was (according to the marines) grooming him to take on the mantle. Everyone seems surprised that with all his power, he refuses to lead. However, Ace’s childhood dream was never to become pirate king, it was to get out from under his father’s shadow. Having achieved that, and having found a new father figure, Ace is able to resist the destructive power of the Mera Mera fruit (which he used for years before joining Whitebeard, gaining a reputation for razing villages and sinking battleships) with his own willpower (and perhaps his will of the D). It remains to be seen how Sabo will respond to him.
                    Natural And Artificial Flavoring
Thus far, I have done a great deal of speculation and theorizing based on character personalities which could honestly be explained by normal character development; no one has wondered why Luffy is ambitious or why Blackbeard is evil, it fits well within their characters. However, this setup was necessary to compare with an area that the series has only begun to explore: Vegapunk’s experiments on devil fruits.
There are exactly three cases where we know for a fact that eating a devil fruit imparted a personality: Mr. 4’s Dog Gun, Spandam’s Elephant Sword Funk Freed, and Smiley the adorably terrifying poison salamander. Before eating devil fruits, they were inanimate objects; after eating devil fruits, they gained autonomy and personality. These are very minor characters, but the fact that their existence is even possible should make us suspect that devil fruits are more than just powers: there’s something inside them that changes how their eaters act. Even if it is merely the animal spirit of the Zoan, these fruits impart something on their eaters which has will.
In contrast, the Pacifistas, whose laser powers were derived from Kizaru’s devil fruit, have no will at all; they are simply automatons which follow orders and enact rote programming. Vegapunk can give objects sentience with devil fruits, but their devil fruit power not give them will because it is artificial. This is why Vegapunk’s efforts to create artificial devil fruits are considered “failures”, even though Momonosuke’s dragon fruit appears to be quite effective, and the results are good enough for Kaido to desire enough to feed an army: these devil fruits are incomplete because they have no will. They were created in a lab, so there is no will to inherit.
                    Will I Am
This brings up the most important consequence of this theory: its interaction with Inherited Will. Inherited will is a key concept in One Piece (and the basis for what is probably the most popular theory on this board), and this theory falls perfectly in line with it. A devil fruit user, in this theory, gains some of their willpower from the fruit that they eat, and perhaps in turn imparts their desires back into the fruit. When it reincarnates, the next user inherits that will. Luffy inherited Roger’s hat and middle initial, and if Roger wielded Gum Gum powers, Luffy also inherited his will through the fruit. For Sabo, it was essential that he eat the Mera Mera fruit to inherit Ace’s will. And Blackbeard, perhaps unknowingly, has inherited evil desires from whoever last held the Yami Yami.
                    Back to the Future
If this theory is correct, it raises many questions, and casts some older questions in a new light:
                    * Where do fruits originally come from? Where do the fruits gain their wills?
                    * How long have these wills been manifest? Is there a connection to the ancient civilization of the Poneglyphs?
                    * Is the will inherited through fruits connected to the will inherited through the D?
                    * How many people know about this? Vegapunk and the World Government very likely, perhaps also some Celestial Dragons?
If Doflamingo knows, is the will of the Ope Ope fruit essential to accessing the great treasure of Mariejois?
                    * What are the psychological effects of eating two fruits? How will the Gura Gura fruit affect Blackbeard’s will?
                    * What is the connection to the ocean? Does the sea hate the will of devil fruits, rather than their power?
                    tl;dr
One Piece is a very complex story about a very complex world. Oda is known to foreshadow key plot points decades in advance, and he has been thinking about devil fruits since the very beginning. I believe they are more than just magical power mcguffins: I believe devil fruits have their own personalities and wills which they impart on those who eat them.
