Hey guys, my first theory/discussion post so don’t expect too much, but all advice and support is greatly appreciated. This topic considering Whitebeard’s DF awakening has probably been talked about a lot, but he’s my favorite character so I just wanted to get a few of my own opinions and thoughts out there.

So, with the introduction of devil fruit awakenings, we so far only know of Doffy’s DF awakening for his string string fruit, which allowed him to manipulate his surroundings and turn objects into string which he was able to control. Possibly some Logia’s have their fruit awakened as well, such as Aokiji, Akainu and Crocodile which are pretty self explanatory (changing and altering the environment). I also believe that Whitebeard’s DF, the Gura Gura no Mi (tremor tremor fruit) was also awakened.

Whitebeard’s DF allowed him to create earthquakes. Whitebeard’s awakened ability allowed him to manipulate the air around him by punching it and creating air quakes, rather than punching the ground and directly causing an earthquake through the ground. Furthermore we see more of his POTENTIAL awakening ability in which he was able to grab air and tilt the earth. I believe this was apart of his awakening. If you guys don’t remember what i’m talking about (which is highly unlikely, it was just too epic) here is a link to refresh your memory.

Whitebeard was known as “The Strongest Man in The World” prior to the Marineford war, given this title I think in his prime, being such a powerful man and and one of the oldest Yonko’s at the time, it would be disappointing if he didn’t awaken his fruit. Also, Sengoku stated that Whitebeard had the power to destroy the world. Whitebeard potentially could’ve had the power to create an “earth destroying earthquake”. It doesn’t seem too unlikely due to the display of the Gura Gura no Mi we have seen so far. The main reason I think Whitebeard didn’t show his full potential was due to his illness, aging, etc.. or simply because he did not want to destroy the world lol.

(credit to Alpha2late17 for some of these potential abilities) Some major awakened abilities for Gura Gura no Mi can be:

-the ability to cause earthquakes far above magnitudes of 1-10.
-creating air quakes and tilting the air (already seen)
– putting earthquakes in things such as bubbles (similar to Kuma’s power)
-earthquakes lasting for days
-aftershocks and multiple tsunamis?
-create a possible end of the world scenario (like in the movie 2012)
– world ending earthquake, special ability (most likely be used by BB in the Final War Arc)

Now given these possible abilities, we still have a chance to see them due to the fruit now being held by Blackbeard. Since BB stole the fruit of WB I believe he stole the fruit as an awakened one and already has all these abilities, he just needs to learn of how to use them and be aware that he possesses such power. Another major possibility regarding BB’s strength is that BB could combine the power of earthquake fruit with his darkness fruit. A possible combo can be Blackbeard engulfing his enemy in a ball of darkness leaving them with no escape and having them experience an earthquake head-on. We will only learn and know of the true power of an awakened Gura Gura no Mi with Blackbeard since Whitebeard was too old and injured.

Anyways this is my theory, really had fun writing it out and putting in my thoughts about this topic, hope you guys enjoyed it.

This theory talks about the connection between Big Mom and Caesar.

Let’s begin by referring to something that Caesar said when they encountered Big Mom’s Ship in Dressrossa.

Caesar says that he swindeled a lot of research funds from her, and that if they caught him now, they’d kill him.

What I think what happened was, Caesar was in some sort of an agreement with Big Mom. Caeser was providing Big Mom with something, and in return Big Mom was giving Caesar gold. Now what could have Caesar been giving to Big Mom?

That’s right. He was giving Big Mom the same candy that he was giving the children. Big Mom must have known about Caesar and his candy, and wanted to make a deal with him. However since Caesar was already under the protection of Doffy/Kaido, Big Mom couldn’t offer him protection, so instead she offered gold.

The thing is, Big Mom didn’t know just what kind of candy she was buying. She didn’t know if the harmful chemicals inside this candy, so she just kept eating it. And guess what? This is how she got so big.

Big Mom has been shown to be rather large, and it makes sense that Caesar’s candy was the cause of this. The growth that was happening with the children, happened also with Big Mom.

After a while, Big Mom’s crew noticed something was strange, and we’ll, that she was growing so much! So the doctors and scientists of Big Mom’s crew started investigating. Soon enough, they found out that the Candy that Caesar was supplying to them, was the cause of this.

This is why Caesar said that he was swindling money off of Big Mom. He was providing them with candy he knew that would make Big Mom grow abnormally, and was taking the money for it in return. He wasn’t worried about Big Mom going after him at that time though, since he was under the protection of Doffy/Kaido. He knew that if Big Mom were to go after him, that would result in Doffy protecting Caesar, and Kaido protecting Doffy. Big Mom also knew this, which is why they didn’t go after him.

That is…. Until now. Since Doffy has been taken out that means he is no longer under the protection of Kaido, which also means Caesar isn’t under the protection of Kaido. This is why Big Mom has decided to go after him now.

Shortly after the Straw Hats’ arrival in Dressrosa, Luffy had tried to fly Momonosuke because of the flying ability that Momonosuke had displayed and used unconsciously to save both Luffy and himself from remaining in the pit wherein Luffy first stumbled upon him

, but Momonosuke dreadfully and loudly rejected the idea of flying ‘again’ through the ‘skies’ despite having no memory of the time when he had flown out of the pit together with Luffy, wherein there was no ‘sky’.

While he was about to shout his rejection of such idea, Momonosuke was recalling somebody’s hand reaching out to grab him.

That event from his memory appears to be the cause of his aviophobia(fear of flying). The person from his flashback is suggested to have a flying ability, and the Dragon Devil Fruit possesses a flying ability.

When Momo was loudly rejecting the idea of flying again, his father was composedly listening to what was happening with no sign of surprise. This indicates that his father is aware of the misfortune that befell Momo. This further suggests that this had happened long before both Momo’s consumption of an artificial Dragon Devil Fruit and their separate arrivals in PH.

At Punk Hazard, Kinemon both exhibited great abhorrence of ‘dragons’ and confirmed to Brook that he has a ‘personal vendetta’ against them. I do not think that such hatred and vendetta could develop from having his ‘lower third’ attached to a dragon (the first dragon that greeted Luffy, Zoro, Usopp and Robin when they first set foot on the blazing half of Punk Hazard) since it is normally IMPOSSIBLE for one to confirm by only his lower third the nature of the being or thing to which it (his lower third) was attached.

Kinemon also showed great detestation of ‘pirates’ when sanji had first introduced himself and the rest of his group to him as pirates.

After Momo had consumed Vegapunk’s artificial Dragon Devil Fruit and successfully managed to escape his pursuers at Punk Hazard, he found himself facing a mirror. Upon looking at the reflection of his dragon form on the mirror, he paled and shouted a loud scream. This appears to be a phobic reaction to dragons.

When Luffy and Momo were stranded in that pit, Luffy introduced himself to Momo as the man who will become the pirate king. Upon hearing that, Momo had become fidgety and nervous and gave a description of ‘pirates’ that matches Kaido’s description. This could suggest that Momo met Kaido in person, and his nervousness could be due to the fear he harbours about Kaido due to a certain event/ events.

When Kaido’s underling was trying to update kaido with the news of Joker’s defeat, he was looking toward the sky, which means that he believed that Kaido was in the sky, if not on the apex of some mountain.

In that very chapter, Kaido reached sky island with neither the company nor the knowledge of his crew members.

It was shown to us that Drake and several other crew members of Kaido were talking about the news whereas Kaido himself was on the sky island.

It was therefore evident that such method of attaining sky island is strictly related to his abilities.

In this week’s chapter it was revealed to us, along with his identity, that Kaido has the strongest body structure you could find in all the living things that swim, crawl and fly this earth. Dragons are known to possess such attributes as robust scales that could withstand blades and spears that aim to penetrate their skin as well as wings that allow them to fly and reach such altitudes. Since Kaido’s body was described to be immune to blades and spears that aimed to penetrate it, from this aspect his attributes strongly support the idea that he possesses the Dragon Devil Fruit.

After Caesar’s downfall at Luffy’s hands, Kinemon told his son, in the middle of their meal, to trust that ‘they’ are all right.

My theory is that ‘they’ refers to the people from Wa. To be worried about their safety means that they are going through some kind of crisis. A crisis of this level that affects an entire nation whose citizens are so strong inasmuch as not even the marines can go near them can only be caused by one of the four emperors.

When the Straw Hats, Law and the samurai had left Punk Hazard and were heading to Dressrosa, Law revealed Kaido’s epithet. Upon hearing that, Momo and Kinemon both showed expressions of fear and shock. When asked by Zoro what was wrong, Kinemon untruthfully replied that nothing was wrong.

Right after Kinemon had untruthfully answered Zoro that nothing was wrong, he reacted frightfully to the dragon form of his own child and started nervously asking about his (Momo’s) whereabouts. Kinemon’s mind should have been preoccupied by the dragon next to him, but the very sight of that dragon triggered feelings of worry about his son’s whereabouts.

Afterwards, when everyone was gathered and having dinner, Kinemon revealed to them that they were ‘chased’ by people whose identity he wished not to reveal(probably for the safety of the people who aided him recover both his body portions and his son – the Straw Hats).

In both instances Kinemon concealed matters connected to kaido. In this week’s chapter we discover that Kaido’s goons were ‘chasing’ the ‘samurai’.

This establishes another strong connection between Kaido and the people of Wa. My theory is that Kinemon’s group was chased by Kaido’s goons when they were trying to go to Zo. And the crisis that befell Wa had been caused by Kaido.

Kaido is the only one that could have breached the strong security of Wa and did what was done to Momo by his flying abilities. This explains Momo’s accurate description of Kaido, his phobic reaction to dragons, and the fear he harbours about him from the event that caused him aviophobia. This also explains Kinemon’s ‘personal vendetta’ against ‘dragons’, his feelings of worry about the whereabouts of his child that surfaced at the sight of a dragon, and his strong dislike of ‘pirates’ because it is only natural for one to develop such feelings after having his son exposed to such traumatic experience and his country exposed to such crisis (conquest of Wa).

Let’s also not dismiss that Gear 4 was conceived to combat celestial/ flying enemies too.

These are my thoughts for why Kaido must possess the dragon ability.

Most of us are aware of many of the different theories regarding Blackbeard, and how he is able to wield two Devil Fruits.

The most popular are, [in short] :

1. The Ceberus:

That Blackbeard has a Mythical Zoan fruit based on the three headed beast ”Ceberus”, which would allow him to consume multiple fruits.

2. The Chimera:

That Blackbeard’s body is made up, atypically, a sort of fusion if you will that allows him to consume multiple fruits.
[some suggest that ability is also a Zoan fruit]

I disagree with these, [although not entirely]

And do not want to theorise how Blackbeard miraculously stored two devil fruits, but rather discuss what lies in store for Blackbeard

I would like to discuss my opinion and theory on what the future holds in store for Blackbeard and the BB pirates:

Blackbeard as we know has become a Yonko, and Jinbei updated us that:

That’s quite weird, Blackbeard hasn’t been using the most threatening weapon in his arsenal to take over places, why do you think that is?

I reckon its both of the following:

1. To not kill of the majority of Pirates he encounters until he assesses them
2. To not cause more and more attention on his self until he amassed an army

Let me discuss these points.

I believe Blackbeard was not using the Gura Gura no Mi, because he did not want to reach a stage where something would have had to have been done about him by the WG prior to reaching his target of creating an unbeatable army.

Now, that begs the question how would he do this?

Take a look at what Jinbei also said:

The BB Pirates have been ”Power Hunting” powerful devil fruit users, and have the ability to take the fruits.

I wonder who was doing that:

That’s right the good old mystery on how BB manages to steal the fruits ability.

I mean we do know that Blackbeard has a weird body to begin with even Marco noticed.

That brings me back to my point of Blackbeard amassing an army:

Jinbei said; they were power hunting and that they could take the ability of a Devil Fruit user .

Let me pose you a question:

HOW LOGICAL WOULD IT BE THAT BB HAS BEEN GIVING DEVIL FRUITS TO HIS PIRATE CREW, ATTRACTING STRONG FIGHTERS AND CREATING AN ARMY OF DEVIL FRUIT USERS!!!

That good old Blackbeard :

Now moving on, why would BB be after such an army,, [ i mean besides being the head of a pirate war machine].

How about attaining the final stage of his plan prior to attaining One Piece.

Which is : Getting the most powerful Mythical Zoan Fruit !!!

The way i see this, is a clever foreshadow by Oda to mean:

And which Devil Fruit would be ideal for someone who uses the Gura Gura no Mi, and Yami Yami no Mi?

How about :

[Although it has not been Explicitly confirmed Kaido is a Zoan user, it is plausibly assumable]

That’s Insaaaaaaaane right!!

But wait one second, why would BB, someone who has the Yami Yami no Mi and the Gura Gura no Mi, want an army of devil fruit users to help him take on Kaidou?

Maybe because Kaidou has something similar:

So i believe the following will happen:

1. BB will create an army he feels big enough to take on Kaidou and his Army

2. Kaidou , will be intercepted by Blackbeard and his army one day

3. EPIC clas of yonko’s, where BB will be successful

4. Blackbeard takes the Zoan ability of Kaidou

Giving him :

The strongest Paramecia,
The most dangerous Logia,
The most powerful Zoan

and his Jolly Roger will actually match up.

So, after reading the latest chapter, I think it’s a reasonable guess that Kaido is a Mythological Zoan: Dragon (Japanese dragon). Take a look at this here. Kaido’s got the same sort of beard, the same sort of tendril-y mustache, as well as the fact that he’s got a dragon scale pattern tattooed on his left arm.

This all says to me that it’s pretty possible that Kaido is a Japanese dragon Zoan. This explains why Momonosuke is such a big deal, because Momo would be an illegitimate form of Kaido’s fruit.

More “proof”:

1. It’s said in this chapter that a person who attempts to fight Kaido would find themselves faced with “a Kaido”. Quick Google search reveals that a “Kaidou” is a type of ancient Japanese road. Japanese dragons are known for being unbelievably long. Kaido as a dragon would probably be long enough that he basically would be “as long as a Kaido”.
2. Dragons are known in their legends for being either one of two things: 1. Immortal. or 2. Mortal, but with incredibly hard, nearly-unpierceable skin that essentially makes them immortal unless you can find a chink in their armor. This pretty heavily draws parallels with Kaido, as well as gives him a potential weakness so he’s not too OP.
3. How did the man manage to single-handedly get to a sky island in the first place? Yeah, he flew as a dragon.
4. This color spread immediately after it’s mentioned that the Strawhats are targeting Kaido. It’s the Strawhats as a bunch of knights, “slaying” a dragon. Tell me that’s not a serious case of foreshadowing.*Theory by PuddleOfMush

Well we can assume that Franky will gain a power up some time in the future, but what could that be??? Well i believe his next power will be in the form of a special gas, i will call this gas “baron gas”. But what is this gas i am talking about?? Well i believe it is a special gas that has the ability to make anything fly.

But how do you know this gas exists? Well that’s because i believe that we have seen it before inside these balloons



As we can see, the moon people used these balloons to get to sky piea, the robots also used the balloons to fly to skypiea; lastly their were a lot of balloons under baron termial, i believe that this is possibly because many people attach balloons to their ships to fly to the sky island(like in the movie Up), this is likely as it shows how Urouge could have gotten to the island without having to find a knock up stream.

For balloons to lift people/ robots, they need to have some strong gas in them; i will call this gas “baron gas”.

So what is the future of this gas???

Well i believe that Franky will find it, with it he will do two things

1. put the gas inside his body, giving Franky the ability to fly; i think Franky could create a machine inside his body that can produce the gas, this would allow him to choose when he flies and when he walks
2. he will use the gas to fly the sunny to the moon

In the movie “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen”, Baron Munchausen used a balloon to fly to the moon.

One piece is HEAVILY INSPIRED BY THIS MOVIE

It inspired the celestial dragons

It also inspired Van Auger

I believe it will also inspire the SHs trip to the moon. This is very likely as we have already been introduced to balloons that can allow someone to travel from the moon to the earth

Also, Urouge’s sky island is called “Baron terminal”; idk if this has any connection to the movie or not, i personally think that the SHs will stop by this island on their way to the moon, this island will also contain some info about the moon(imo)

Hello once again everyone and welcome back to another theory for your entertainment. This time I shall be talking about the Winged people and the Ancient Weapons. The winged people and Ancient weapons bares a lot of references to Greek Mythology and the Book of Genesis in Christianity.

This is the painting Enel found on the moon.

Those 3 winged people represents the 3 ancient weapons Uranus, Poseidon and Pluton. Each winged race correlates to an ancient weapon and the p0stion and nature of a winged race correlates to what an ancient weapons does.

Skypiean-Uranus-To Create-God of the Sky-The Top-Creationism

Uranus is the power to create and those who wields it are pretty much gods. The Skypieans appear to have a talent for inventing. The Skypieans also appear to be the ones who created the dials. Simply put, the Skypieans were the gods of the OP world and the weapon Uranus gave rise to the special clouds in Skypiea and the Devil Fruits(The Tree of Knowledge).

There are sky people creating new ways to control weather.

There are more creations of Uranus and the Sky People.

However, the Skypieans have lost their god status and have been reduced to regular citizens.

Shandian-Poseidon-To Control-God of Water-The Middle-Evolution

Poseidon is the ability to control sea kings and it represent the Shandians. The Shandian you see in the picture has a fish head and in Skypiea….

The Shandian city Shandora had a poneglyph with info on Poseidon.

Oh and for the Shandians and Poseidon representing evolution….

The Shandians also appear to be the opposite of the Shypieans. Unlike Skypieans, the Shandians look like Native Americans/primitive savages.

While in the blue sea, the Shandians had no technology and survived from resources from their natural surroundings. They are so outdated that they even resemble ancient Aztecs who believes in a primitive religion.

The Shandians were being CONTROLLED by their own foolish religion until they were saved by Montblanc Noland.

The “god” the Shandians believed in that were leading them to their demise was a giant snake which is a reference to how the devil transformed into a snake to trick Adam and Eve.

The land of the Shandians is called “Jaya” is a reference to the Greek god Gaia, also known as “Mother Earth.” Gaia had a union with Uranus (Father Heaven)the first 12 Titans who ruled during the legendary Golden Age descended from her and Uranus.

The Shandians spent centuries defending their illustrious golden city that lost in time. A city being covered in roots and moss.

However, when the Shandians ending up in Skypiea, their land was stolen by the Skypieans(god) and a war ensued to get their land back. The war made the Shandians DESTRUCTIVE.

The Shandians tired killing anyone who got in their way regardless on who it was and was prepared to step over their comrades to achieve their goal. However, being destructive is not their nature.

Birkan-Pluton-To Destroy-God of the Underworld-The Bottom-Extinction

Pluton is a battleship capable of great destruction and it correlates to the nature of the Birkans. Pluton is named after the Greek god Hades and symbolizes war. Birkans have larger wing spans than Skypieans and Shandians and appear to have a natural gift for combat almost as if they are purely soldiers.

The Birkan’s natural destructive nature and martial prowess.

Remember when I said the Birkans were “the bottom” and soldiers? Well in Skypiea lead by Enel, the Birkans forcefully risen to “the top.”

The Shandians lost control of their homeland to the Skypieans and as if they were taking advantage of the chaos, the Birkans used God’s creations(DF and dials) to strip the Skypieans of their god status.

The Birkans took Shandora for themselves and started a new war between the Birkans and the Shandians.

Since the Birkans stole the role of the Shandians, they became the “new poseidons.” Look at Enel with “Poseidon’s trident.”

Another hint to the Birkans becoming the new “Poseidons” is the birkan Gedatsu discovering a hot spring near Alabasta.

The Birkans then controlled Skypiea with fear using their overwhelming power.

Now then, a few things that I couldn’t insert into the theory without making things confusing(to me).

1- The birkans STOLE the position of GOD right? Does it remind you of the Tenryubitto “gods” stealing the OP world for themselves 800 years ago? If so, you are half right. 19 of the 20 Kingdoms that created the WG are thieves, but the main Tenryubitto family simply took their world back as they are the remaining “pure” humans in the world. Don’t get it? The head Tenryubitto family is responsible for the creation of the OP world(lets call it Vearth) over 5000 years ago. They are the first, the originals and the creators and that is a theory for another time.

2- The Skypieans have an idol.

Seem familiar?

Since we’re on the topic of Greek Mythology and that the OP world has a lot of strange species, could this be the OP version of Titans? The idol represents the yearnings of the sky people(gods) and the titans are the second order of divine beings and proceeds its successor gods.

Not Long ago I Found out that Flames and Fires can be invisible(as if the visible ones weren’t trouble enough) and the first thing that came to mind was The Mera-Mera No Mi. Imagine How scary the fruit might be for Sabo’s enemies if they knew about this power. Being Fried to death by something they couldn’t see.

Now, going into the How, let’s start by learning more about Fire. We’ll have our Good Friend Captain Slow Tell us What Fire is.

There are many types of Flames possible, Everything from the Classic Red to Blue.
One of such is A flame that bears no color and that is the Methanol Fire.

Now what i Methanol? Methanol is a alchol just like Ethanol, but unlike Ethanol, it is Toxic to Humans, so drinking it is in fact not a very good idea.

Now, as we know, Fire Needs 3 Things to Work: Heat, Fuel & Oxygen.
So with Organic material for Fuel, we will get Red flames and with Methanol as Fuel, we’ll get invisible Flames.
But we also know that a Fire can be Boosted and made to last longer when materials are added to the Pyre. Like when you Splash gasoline on A Bonfire and then having to explain to the Police Officer and Fireman how you were able to Burn down The Entire Forest the Day Later.
Meaning that we can make the fire Stronger and more Dangerous then what it used to be.
So, if Sabo were to be capable of Somehow getting his hands on Methanol, he could boost himself up and Turn Invisible. (Or since he is Fire Incarnate, he could somehow get his Fruit to Drain the Right Chemical Elements from the surroundings so the he doesn’t need to carry around Fuel to get the effects to work.)

This is a Powerup that would not just be good for combat but for Covert Missions as well. He could sneak in and out of Heavily Guarded Buildings. He could Take care of Enemies without being seen by quite easily Blasting them with A “Fire-Fist” (Or whatever Sabo would call it now. ) And disposing of them, their fellow Friends would not understand as to why he was rolling on the floor and would eventually tangle themselves with him/her and start rolling around themselves( a bit of a chain reaction).
Methanol Flames do not Produce smoke, so if he were to Lit a building on fire, no one on would really know, as the Houses do not have Vocal Chords an therefore Don’t Scream. (At least from a Visual Standpoint…that is until the building where to start crumbling down.)
There would obviously be drawbacks.
Methanol Fires can be killed with Water, so if someone had A Bucket of Water, he could easily take the Chameleon powers away if he were to hit.
And there would more then likely be some kind of smell that could be picked up easily by someone with a keen sense of smell.

This is Drake as a kid, and he really seems to like the marines. He was among the supernova who were all rookie pirates, meaning they were fairly new into piracy. So what could’ve made someone who idolized and worked for the marines for years suddenly leave to become the very opposite that they fight against?

Take a look at this ship. It was shown alongside the other supernova’s ships (except Luffy, Law, and Zoro for obvious reasons) when they were watching the war end at Marineford. This ship looked like a marine battleship with an inverted color scheme. Knowing that he was a former marine, Drake could’ve stole this, personalised it and inverted the colors to symbolise rebellion of some sort

In the same page, he shows discontent with the marines. So obviously he wasn’t satisfied with how they do things much like other characters i.e Fujitora, Smoker.

His jolly roger doesn’t have crossbones, a skull, or a face of some sort like all the other supernova and pirates. I don’t think Drake is like other pirates and has a goal like theirs. I think Drake has a more noble goal like putting an end to the marines and doesn’t really like being a pirate BUT hates the marines with a passion so he took that route. His battleship really does imply it.

Here’s where we get to the good stuff lol

Notice his tone when he thinks about the Vegapunk and the pacifista….as if he worked with him and the pacifista before. The fact that he is somewhat familiar with the progress of the pacifista project makes it very likely. Also, something about the way he spoke (in his head) directly to Vegapunk also makes me believe he knew him on a colleague level. He could’ve just said “That Vegapunk…blah blah blah” but he said “Vegapunk…you..”

So we know that Pacifista have red blood in them. Also, it’s almost as if he’s talking to a person here. He could’ve said “I’m surprised IT…” if it was just some mindless weapon.
Match that up with what Franky says here about a pacifista he encounters
Maybe the Pacifista were once human and lost their memories like Kuma. We know that they are CYBROGS, AND NOT ROBOTS meaning they aren’t 100% artificial. They were said to be molded to look exactly like Kuma and obviously now have Kizaru’s lasers. They could’ve been molded from their already similar size to Kuma, or similar features.

If they were human, then the whole pacifista project itself would be controversial and since it was also quite recent (As of Pre-Timeskip), it could be the reason why Drake left the marines. He, like Ivankov, might’ve known one of them before they were used as human weapons by the marines, and was disgusted at it and wants them to change their ways.

THERE’S WHERE MY IDEAS AND EVIDENCE END lol, I don’t really know what link this might have to Kaido. The only link I can find between Vegapunk and Kaido is the SMILES, even though Caesar is the one who succeeded with them and Vegapunk failed.

I was re-watching and researching Shanks and I’ve noticed something. Despite his carefree easy going nature, Shanks is extremely wise for his youth in the One Piece World. He’s only a middle aged man, yet he has already gained the respect of the greats of the era before him to the point of them actually listening to what he has to say. This is because of 1.) Shanks leadership and strength and 2.) What I believe to the be the main reason, his unmatched talent in the form of haki.
Very few times have we seen Shanks demonstrate his power in haki, but when we do they are some of the best feats up to date, not only that but Shanks is still growing in power. He’s already scared off a Sea King, the biggest creatures in the ocean. He casually walked onto Whitebeard’s boat and not only did he knock out some of WB’s men, but his Conqueror’s haki was so powerful that it physically manifested and damaged the Moby Dick, WB’s ship. He was able to block Akainu’s magma fist, an attack that murdered Ace with what seems to be a basic sword using Armament Haki. This just all goes to show Shanks skill in the use of haki. However, I’ve only described two out of the three forms of haki.
My theory concerns only Shanks’ skill in observation haki. We’ve only had one scene where we’ve seen what we believe to be Shanks’ observation haki, and this is when WB threw that sake at Shanks, and Shanks dodged with ease while sitting and looking down. Despite that there’s nothing else. Or so we think. I believe that we’ve already seen Shanks display the greatest form of observation haki, prediction of future events. This is where Shanks’ wisdom stems from. Out of all of the big names in the series, Shanks was the first and for a long time the only one concerned with Blackbeard. He goes so far as to tell WB to tell Ace to leave BB alone for the time being, knowing how dangerous BB is. However WB didn’t listen and just laughed it off. Shanks then attacks WB to let him know that he’s serious on WB’s own ship in front of his crew. Jozu was concerned, but Marco being the first division commander had enough knowledge and respect for Shanks to tell the men to settle down because Shanks is not the kind of the man to do stupid things, a testimony to his wisdom. Ultimately WB along with Ace paid the price when it was all said and done. This is my first example of Shanks’ using this form of haki at such levels. My second isn’t an example, more so than a possibility that can explain how Shanks seemingly met up and dealt with Kaido and still made it back to marineford before the battle continued any further.
Kaido wanted to attack WB while WB was saving Ace for Yonko purposes. Knowing this, Shanks was able to intercept Kaido, a man Doflamingo fears(a man who challenges admirals and fleet admirals consistently). We don’t know what happened in the confrontation, obviously they’re both still alive so I assume they didn’t fight because when Shanks and his crew arrived they didn’t have any battle damage which would mean they either murked Kaido and his crew or they didn’t fight. Because the latter is more likely, I think the reason this scuffle ended so quickly was because unlike WB, Kaido heard Shanks out due to his wisdom which prevented a disastrous conflict from occuring. This is yet another example of Shanks being almost prophetic in stopping situations from escalating. In a sense he sees the big picture because of his strength in observation haki. Finally, you guys know I had to save the best for last, Shanks ending the Battle of Marineford. Shanks came in yet again at the perfect time which saved many lives that day.
