Well I thought about Aokiji’s ice for a while and I realized that we’ve never seen his ice being turned into a liquid and it would be just weird of he is made out of his own weakness.
His ice just emits a constant stream of vapor.
The only ice with the same properties I know of is Dry ice.
Other than water, Dry ice is made out of Co2 and it sublimes at −78.5 °C, which means it turns immediately from a solid to vapor.
This also makes him a far greater deal, since Dry ice is way cooler than normal ice.
It can cause severe frostbites and it stays solid for a longer period.
Though the question remains if the snow on Punk Hazard is made out of Dry ice also…

in movie z he freezes water. but i think you got a point. rather than comparing if it’s forzen ice or nitrogen i’d say he just freezes like everything. if he turns down the temp around him, the air around him would evaporate

Stupid theory. His power is not ice but freezing anything he touches and everything within the range of his powers. He can freeze water, wood, metal, concrete, human body, even the water vapors, etc.
The CO2 theory is nice but one problem dry ice rapidly turns to gaseous state when in contact with water (google it or watch mythbusters) so every time he freezes water it would cause a large expansion (like an explosion) similarly when he freezes luffy (in that one episode i cant rememer) luffy is thawed in water with again no gas explosion. The smoky Ice you mentioned could be just visualization of the cold like Diamond Jozu skin (how would you know that it’s diamond it Oda didnt visualize it)you need a visualization to know whats happening.
One more stupid, freezing power? How he became a logia user if he’s power is not ice moron. Search his df u can understand hes power.
